We visited recently and were impressed with the reviews. We had a variety of dishes from Prawns in garlic and olive oil , Spanish potatoes, tortilla omelette, Padron peppers were all good but unfortunately two large paella’s were not cooked enough and the rice was crunchy. Also the fillet pork was overcooked and tough. The wine was excellent and good value for money. I thought the decor was a little basic and lighting was to too bright. A little more ambiance please. I did complain about the paella but I was brushed away and was told it that’s how it should be! Mmmm I’ve been eating Paella for nearly 50 yrs all over Spain. A good Paella has a crust on the base of the pan this was undercooked.

Hearty thanks to Caroline and her colleagues for a really wonderful meal today; fresh food, beautifully cooked and presented, kindly and efficient customer service. I highly recommend the Levantine Mousaka; I don't know what they used for dressing on the salad but it was delicious. Very good mint tea out of beautiful pots and glasses. Cosy decor, no loud music so easy to converse in a relaxed manner and very clean toilets. warmest regards, Karen

I had a large glass of wine and a bowl of nachos with sauce. I won't judge on the wine: it's a light-coloured, and light tasting, Californian zinfandel. Wouldn't be my first choice, but the only "red" wine from which to choose (odd in a town with so many excellent wine merchants that there's no choice). Food was "loaded" nachos with three-bean quinoa "chilli" and "cheeze" topping. The cheeze was like a layer of plastic, not my thing but worth trying once I guess. The three-bean quinoa topping was rather dry, give me an actual gooey salsa any day, and it was rather bland - didn't have any flavours that turned me on at all and the chilli wasn't very chilli. I opted for a few atoms of guacamole in an egg cup to go with it, this was ok too. However, the "tortilla chips" were as close to flavourless as I've ever had. They crunched, but that's about all I can recommend about them. The dish is not recommended on that, and the dry "chilli", basis ... sorry. Total price? a shade under £20. Worth it? Absolutely not. I appreciate the food is vegan - great! - but I had better (and much more!) vegan food in London for less yesterday, in an otherwise similar setting, and the overheads in Mayfair dwarf the costs in Cambridge. Friends who recommend the place said "it's great, but pricey" and they were absolutely right. I can get double the number of nachos, with double the flavour, at my local pub for half the price. The place? Pretty good. I had a table with a socket, at the back where it's quiet, which was great as I had to work a bit while I ate. Other customers were worth talking to. The staff? Seemed mostly friendly, but a mixed bag. The first person didn't like that I'd dared to turn up at 1150 for lunch, told me I was too early, then the kitchen staff said "it's fine" and I got my food anyway. The lack of flexibility for £20 for a bag of not-great tortilla chips and sauce means an average score, sorry Thrive but you'll need to do better - for the price - if I'm to become a regular.

I visited Little Petra for the first time today with a friend, following multiple recommendations. We booked a table, which is advisable as it gets busy, even on a Tuesday early evening. We had heard the portions are generous so decided to share the mixed meze and marinated chicken. This was plenty of food for two and we couldn't actually finish it. The food was incredibly tasty, with lots of different flavours. The service was good and food arrived pretty quickly, but we didn't feel rushed. Would definitely return and recommend to others.
