I had a large glass of wine and a bowl of nachos with sauce. I won't judge on the wine: it's a light-coloured, and light tasting, Californian zinfandel. Wouldn't be my first choice, but the only "red" wine from which to choose (odd in a town with so many excellent wine merchants that there's no choice). Food was "loaded" nachos with three-bean quinoa "chilli" and "cheeze" topping. The cheeze was like a layer of plastic, not my thing but worth trying once I guess. The three-bean quinoa topping was rather dry, give me an actual gooey salsa any day, and it was rather bland - didn't have any flavours that turned me on at all and the chilli wasn't very chilli. I opted for a few atoms of guacamole in an egg cup to go with it, this was ok too. However, the "tortilla chips" were as close to flavourless as I've ever had. They crunched, but that's about all I can recommend about them. The dish is not recommended on that, and the dry "chilli", basis ... sorry. Total price? a shade under £20. Worth it? Absolutely not. I appreciate the food is vegan - great! - but I had better (and much more!) vegan food in London for less yesterday, in an otherwise similar setting, and the overheads in Mayfair dwarf the costs in Cambridge. Friends who recommend the place said "it's great, but pricey" and they were absolutely right. I can get double the number of nachos, with double the flavour, at my local pub for half the price. The place? Pretty good. I had a table with a socket, at the back where it's quiet, which was great as I had to work a bit while I ate. Other customers were worth talking to. The staff? Seemed mostly friendly, but a mixed bag. The first person didn't like that I'd dared to turn up at 1150 for lunch, told me I was too early, then the kitchen staff said "it's fine" and I got my food anyway. The lack of flexibility for £20 for a bag of not-great tortilla chips and sauce means an average score, sorry Thrive but you'll need to do better - for the price - if I'm to become a regular.

Lovely little vegan cafe. I had a toastie and smoothie, with potato salad on the side. My partner had a BLT (with avocado) and an Oreo shake. Food was lovely and came out quickly, loved the addition of the board/card games for while you wait. Food was a little on the pricey side but average for Cambridge.

I've been here a few times and it's always been nice. The food is basic but good, the coffee is nice and the cakes are excellent. Service is always good and not very slow considering how busy the place often is. The atmosphere is good for the most part, but the tables in the front can feel a bit busy as there are often people moving around you when they come in and when they go to order. I recommend going upstairs if there are tables free.

Toastie was thin and disappointing. When charging £8 for a toastie, it needs to be filled properly and have great flavours. The vegan cheese they used was clearly the cheapest pre-grated one they could find, that tasted and smelled horrible. 1 slice of tomato per half and a singular slice of vegan ham split between doesn’t make for a good experience. The bean burrito was also average at best, some nice flavours but again underwhelming for £11.50. Coffee was tasty but not particularly warm, and the soft drinks were overpriced. The only saving grace here is the fries, which were very nice. Very poor experience overall. When you’re establishing a vegan business, you have an extra barrier to cross, lots of people will go in with a certain mindset, and you need to wow them as a result of that. Everything on the menu has to stand out, not be one of many bland options.

The food was good and only because a lovely lady whom is a vegan herself made it to an excellent standard but unfortunately they use GMO products and they have nuts in their menu and do not inform the customer of this fact and they are not very hospitable, trained or accommodating to the individual. The people running it are not concerned when we mentioned some of these issues and mainly ignored us after we brought it to their attention. I would not recommend this venue to anyone that is a natural vegan as one has to very careful that they might be cooking the vegan products on a grill that can cause cross contamination.......

Surprisingly, I discovered that this restaurant operates in the evenings, offering more seating upstairs and event spaces. I noticed ads for yoga classes that sparked my interest, and our book and brunch club is considering a return to sample the menu. This is such a cute and cozy cafe. It’s great for working as it’s usually more quiet. The staff is soo nice, friendly and they all literally have such a beautiful & inspiring aura. The food is literally soo good omg. The vegan cheese is so cheesy like almost real cheese. My personal favorite is the scrambled egg on bread with avocado on the side, then have a chocolate croissant with it and hot chocolate mhhh divine. But if you want something more light to eat, then I recommend the granola(don’t remember the full name), this is definitely also one of my favorites. I personally liked the breakfast menu more than the afternoon one, but that’s just personal preference. Afternoon menu starts at around 12.30pm plus minus. Had lovely lunch here yesterday, followed by dessert. So wonderful to have a big choice of vegan cakes. Atmosphere and setting is gorgeous, trendy and cosy. Our only minor criticism would be the chips we had with our toastie, were luke warm when they arrived, cold by the time we'd finished eating, for all of us not just mine. The toasties, however, was piping hot and delicious. If they could just get this right, regarding the chips, it would get the full 5 stars for food. We will definitely be going back, so great to see more vegan cafes popping up. You don't have to be vegan to go here, everyone, no matter what your food choices are would enjoy the atmosphere and food. Oh finally their oat milk lattes were gorgeous.

Too bad I can’t give a specific review for that specific staff because there’s only one condescending woman who was rude to me twice: first when I was ordering and second when she was serving. The rest was nice by the way. I can tell specific details for those who are curious, but am certainly not going to put it here, as it just happened recently. Really disappointed with the slow service, which has happened now on the 3 occasions I have visited (I had hoped the first 2 were just unlucky). A friend and I waited 15 minutes for 2 hot chocolates which when they arrived were barely warm - for £11 this is pretty unacceptable. Also while I was waiting I watched a member of staff getting a piece of chocolate cake from the cake display for another customer. I watched her wipe the cake slice with her bare hands (to get the congealed cake bits off of it) and then use it to pick up a slice of cake. This has confirmed that I will not return for both unacceptable wait times (in my opinion) and poor hygiene. Such a shame as a vegan I love to support independent vegan establishments.

I LOVED this place! So friendly and welcoming, excellent music and staff, plus plants, books, and boards games. They are vegan, environmentally friendly, and support independent local art. This is a gem that deserves all the love and admiration in the world!

The staff were very welcoming and lots of smiles. I had a coffee and was asked what kind of milk I wanted, I replied skimmed. The lady smiled and explained the milk was plant based. I asked her to choose for me. The coffee was lovely as was the milk. This is a plant based cafe and my first time in one. My experience was excellent. There was also a book shop upstairs, which I did not go and see but plan too. They were also selling fruit, veg and coffee. I will go again as I want some of the coffee beans. I may even get some of the milk. The coffee was only £3.

Worth going for the calibre of the wine alone, but the food was delicious too. They were more than happy to cater to my extensive dietary requirements. And the atmosphere is lovely - a smallish place, tucked in on the corner near the train station. Our new favourite restaurant!

Thoroughly enjoyed an early dinner at this popular Algerian restaurant. The food was delicious and plentiful, priced about right and cheerfully served.

I visited Little Petra for the first time today with a friend, following multiple recommendations. We booked a table, which is advisable as it gets busy, even on a Tuesday early evening. We had heard the portions are generous so decided to share the mixed meze and marinated chicken. This was plenty of food for two and we couldn't actually finish it. The food was incredibly tasty, with lots of different flavours. The service was good and food arrived pretty quickly, but we didn't feel rushed. Would definitely return and recommend to others.

Service was good, food was prepared fast. Average price for the food. 12.5% service charge was added with the bill, could be better for customers to decide.
