really lovely restaurant, went in for lunch on a day trip to Cambridge. Food was great and drinks event better, definitely recommend the matcha latte

What a lovely place!! It is a must visit in Cambridge. Nice, fab and friendly service. Great foods and drink!! I had weekly special and one burger on the next day, they were both very delicious!! Very satisfying with good portion! Amazing cakes btw!! I like the vibe a lot and they are more than a place to chill and eat! I would highly recommend this place for trying plant based foods and nice coffee! on the 1st floor they have really good view of the road - super relaxing!

Went for lunch at the weekend and had the vegetable curry, it was delicious but portions were small. Both my friend and I ( who also had dessert) were still hungry afterwards so we went for dim sum!

Plant based delight, Thrive offers good food and an understanding of sustainability with its zero waste shop. We had brunch and good coffee in a comfortable setting and great service.

Worst vegan burger I’ve had, took more than 30 minutes to arrive after ordering :-( It tasted like seaweed or something.

Found this little gem on google, so glad we visited. What a nice warm welcome from the lovely staff, and the atmosphere and aura was beautiful. The cheeze Toastie was delicious, the chai latte was yummy and the cheezecake was heavenly 😋 this first visit definitely won’t be the last 😊 already planning when we can next come 😃

Mu first time, cool vibe and setting. Looking forward to the nachos with chilli, but v bland and no kick or spicing. Hardly any cheese so no nice melted top and barely any fresh herbs- needs a large whack of coriander. Sadly we make a better one at home, could do much better (:0( The coffee and hot chocolate were delicious tho and cakes looked v nice. Wouldn't come back for lunch again, but maybe a coffee and cake. A shame as had high expectations for a vegan cafe.

Last night, I attended a delightful gallery opening hosted by @katecrom_design. The evening was a success, and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring Kate's art while sipping on vegan wine! Surprisingly, I discovered that this restaurant operates in the evenings, offering more seating upstairs and event spaces. I noticed ads for yoga classes that sparked my interest, and our book and brunch club is considering a return to sample the menu. The restaurant is pet-friendly and even features a charming vintage shop. With unisex toilets and a prime location, it's evident that this establishment fosters a sense of community – one I'd love to be a part of.

Amazing vegan cafe, bringing a variety of vegan food that was clearly missing and Cambridge. I've had the chance to try a lot of what they offer and I've never been disappointed in the cakes (all delicious) or the savoury dishes. What a pleasure to have a truly ethical place to eat. The coffees are the best plant milk coffees I've ever had!

Really friendly and cosy place (on the noisy and crowded side but great for a group of friends), with one of the tastiest burgers! I’m not vegan but would happily revisit.

All of it was delicious and fairly priced, the staff very friendly and atmosphere great. The star of the show was the biscoff milkshake!

One of my favourite places to go. Apart of amazing vegan food and beverages, there are cultural events as well. How cool it sounds? Well it's even better than you think. I totally recommend this place.

Thrive is a well known place among locals for serving plant based foods and vegan drinks. It's a great place to hangout, enjoy a coffee and work. Next door is Full Circle where they sell packaging free foods. Two excellent ethical businesses in the same location....

This is such a cute and cozy cafe. It’s great for working as it’s usually more quiet. The staff is soo nice, friendly and they all literally have such a beautiful & inspiring aura. The food is literally soo good omg. The vegan cheese is so cheesy like almost real cheese. My personal favorite is the scrambled egg on bread with avocado on the side, then have a chocolate croissant with it and hot chocolate mhhh divine. But if you want something more light to eat, then I recommend the granola(don’t remember the full name), this is definitely also one of my favorites. I personally liked the breakfast menu more than the afternoon one, but that’s just personal preference. Afternoon menu starts at around 12.30pm plus minus. I absolutely loved every single experience I had here.

My Christmas day has been really good thanks to Thrives. My initial plan fell through. Thrives is my go to place. Venue, staff and atmosphere 5*. They had the projector with a Christmas film showing. I didn't expect them to be doing food but they did. I felt like it was if they had the ingredients in the kitchen they would happily do it. I was certainly not disappointed!! Thank you guys X

Had lovely lunch here yesterday, followed by dessert. So wonderful to have a big choice of vegan cakes. Atmosphere and setting is gorgeous, trendy and cosy. Our only minor criticism would be the chips we had with our toastie, were luke warm when they arrived, cold by the time we'd finished eating, for all of us not just mine. The toasties, however, was piping hot and delicious. If they could just get this right, regarding the chips, it would get the full 5 stars for food. We will definitely be going back, so great to see more vegan cafes popping up. You don't have to be vegan to go here, everyone, no matter what your food choices are would enjoy the atmosphere and food. Oh finally their oat milk lattes were gorgeous.

As a non-vegetarian/vegan, the food is ok-ish. Service, on the other hand, was horrible. Too bad I can’t give a specific review for that specific staff because there’s only one condescending woman who was rude to me twice: first when I was ordering and second when she was serving. The rest was nice by the way. I can tell specific details for those who are curious, but am certainly not going to put it here, as it just happened recently. I hope that you can figure to whom I’m referring so that you can discuss about this because I don’t want this beautiful place to be tarnished by one haughty staff :)

Nice plant based cafe, good service and nice coffee

Really disappointed with the slow service, which has happened now on the 3 occasions I have visited (I had hoped the first 2 were just unlucky). A friend and I waited 15 minutes for 2 hot chocolates which when they arrived were barely warm - for £11 this is pretty unacceptable. Also while I was waiting I watched a member of staff getting a piece of chocolate cake from the cake display for another customer. I watched her wipe the cake slice with her bare hands (to get the congealed cake bits off of it) and then use it to pick up a slice of cake. This has confirmed that I will not return for both unacceptable wait times (in my opinion) and poor hygiene. Such a shame as a vegan I love to support independent vegan establishments.

Great little café, very safe place for queer people and loads of vegan options. A little bit pricey, but worth it to support the business.

I loooove Thrive. Beautiful cafe, lovely staff, fabulous coffee and great cake. Love the community focus it has (hosts a lot of events), its ethical foundations, great decor, clean. But oh the food is so bad. Had a couple of toasties, barely edible. The burger was OK. In this era when vegan food can be SO good, Thrive is really letting the vegan team down.

First time here. Absolutely loved having so many choices. I'm so used to only having bare minimum vegan choices when eating out, so felt like a kid in a sweetshop and wanted one of everything. Lovely staff. Fabulous atmosphere.

We called in on a wet day in Cambridge looking for Vegan food. We were ignored after entering although there were staff standing around. You have to order at the counter unfortunately most of the food was unavailable and the ONLY choice was a toasted sandwich which upon eating was very disappointing. We paid £20+ for a very sud-standard sandwich and coffee. Poor food and arrogant and unfriendly staff.

I had a meet with a friend over drinks, and Thrive was a good spot. Being on Norfolk street meant you can have free parking from 5pm, which is great for those who would love to drive there.

Very cosy and friendly café serving all vegan food - slightly expensive but this is worth it for the level of hospitality!

We cannot get enough of this beautiful vegan cafe located in central Cambridge. We do not often visit as do not live here - but it is number one on my list to visit every time we travel down. I am always on the lookout for plant-based cafes that truly make you feel good inside-out. A warm, welcoming and spirited atmosphere. The staff are super friendly and some of the finest coffee makers. The mini bookshop upstairs and unique coffee art are a bonus. Absolutely delicious, high quality drinks. I recommend their latest edition especially for autumn the Pumpkin spice special with coconut milk. They also provide other alternative milks such as Almond, oat and soy for whatever makes it for you.

Avocado, wasn’t ripe chilli. Dog was cold and tried charging us extra for extra fries, even though we had added it to our order. Very disappointing complained, but staff didn’t seem bothered. and certainly wasn’t worth £50 for two

This was one of many visits for us in the collegiate city of Cambridge. Today we have forsaken the esteemed halls of academia to visit this fantastic vegan café and bistro to treat ourselves to the tasty array of dishes that are on offer. We were fortunate to sample a juicy chilli dog, a nutritious tempeh bacon BLT and a chickpea curry special. All of which were a delight to have sat on our plates. For dessert a tall, indulgent glass of milkshake is served alongside a slice of decedent chocolate fudge cake and a warming flat-white. The shared, community vibes and spirit of this establishment creates a compelling case for multiple returns!

Absolutely love Thrive and come here often. Love that they're dog friendly and the staff are always so welcoming.

Thrive is a cute vegan café and I’m happy to have found them on my trip. I ordered a toastie, some lemonade, a milkshake and a hot chocolate. I would have loved a bigger portion for the toastie, so I suppose I understand the reviews about the price and hence 4 stars, but the taste was great and I will return.

Didn’t want to stop at one of the chains so stopped in here today for a croissant and an iced latte. So glad I did. What a cute place! The apricot croissant was so buttery and sweet. And the iced latte was perfection. My only disappointment was that you were out of the chocolate hazelnut croissant, but the apricot was probably equally as good! I felt very comfortable here eating and drinking while using the free wifi and relaxing a bit before heading out to explore more of Cambridge. I will definitely be back next time I am visiting the city!

Loved the range of food. Don't normally eat lunch, so was very comfortable with the range of light snacks through to more substantial choices. The missing star is because I found it rather pricey, though I recognise that prices have gone up. But nearly £40 for 3 main (light) courses, 2 soft drinks, and one cappuccino/slice of cake did seem rather steep. Used to be CB2 many years ago.

I spent a really productive morning remote working in Thrive. There is a lovely atmosphere, really friendly staff and yummy food. I will definitely be back.

The staff were very welcoming and lots of smiles. I had a coffee and was asked what kind of milk I wanted, I replied skimmed. The lady smiled and explained the milk was plant based. I asked her to choose for me. The coffee was lovely as was the milk. This is a plant based cafe and my first time in one. My experience was excellent. There was also a book shop upstairs, which I did not go and see but plan too. They were also selling fruit, veg and coffee. I will go again as I want some of the coffee beans. I may even get some of the milk. The coffee was only £3.

I LOVED this place! So friendly and welcoming, excellent music and staff, plus plants, books, and boards games. They are vegan, environmentally friendly, and support independent local art. This is a gem that deserves all the love and admiration in the world!

The place is really cute, it’s so nice to see a completely plant based shop. We ordered a carrot cake, a lemon poppyseed muffin and the tempeh bagel. The carrot cake and muffin were both really nice, the bagel was unfortunately stale and the girl from the staff didn’t care much when we told her although she did offer another bagel. It’s a nice place if you want to play cards and drink something warm or have dessert, but could be improved.

I just love the food especially the hummus (I just can't get enough of their hummus). I keep coming back to Thrive. Good food...wonderful people and a beautiful vibe....Thrive!

I’m a regular customer at Thrive, but today wasn’t a happy experience. The girl with the pink hair took my order and wasn’t the friendliest, her manor made me feel like I was inconveniencing her by being there! Then when I left I said thank you quite loudly and she was on her phone, didn’t even look up to acknowledge me! The girl with the brown hair in a pony tail didn’t acknowledge me either when I said thank you bye. Not the experience anyone wants, or the face of their business. No I am not part of a hate campaign! I’m vegan and come into thrive regularly and have always had nice things to say about you until my previous experience. Like I said she was on her phone when I left… looking down at the phone doesn’t stop you from simply responding to someone that is supporting your business. I am aware businesses use mobile phones now days but your staff should still be able to acknowledge people while looking at the phone. Your response is extremely poor, which highlights your customer service skills

We now go to Thrive every time we come to Cambridge; we know that we can get a great vegan meal there in colourful informal surroundings. The menu is imaginative and there are also various homemade cakes and pastries etc on the counter. This time we were there for breakfast and I loved my waffles with tofu scramble and vegan bacon. Excellent coffee too

Really fantastic place overall. Had the Hummus and it was really on-point. Coffee was strong and tasty. Friendly and helpful staff that keep everything clean and tidy. Bathrooms were spacious and well-kept. WiFi available and lots of place to sit and relax, including couches and upstairs seating. Good if you want somewhere to relax and work. A+, will definitely return.

Food here tasted good but it was incredibly bad value. £12 for chickpea and cauliflower curry that only had one piece of cauliflower in it and left me hungry?! Yikes. Hopefully they can sort this as the staff were lovely and the offering excellent.

Been vegan a long time and this is one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten in. The Big Breakfast absolutely slaps and their deserts are sooooo good. Sometimes vegan cakes can be a little dry or too dense but these guys know what's up when it comes to baking. Their coffee also blew me away, great espresso. 10000/10

Fab vegan place with lots of gf options. We went for lunch and ordered hot dog and loaded nachos which were amazing, but the persian dish with aubergines could be done with more flavour and salt. The staff are friendly and desserts were gorgeous.

OK, this is my honest opinion about this vegan cafe, I was made to feel very welcome especially from the northern worker, who was very friendly and polite and very wecoming, this was my go to place in cambridge, you can do ypur work, you can read a book or just chill, she was the person that worked in there , there was one wonen with black hair who was not so friendly but the other workers were ok, the atmosphere is quirky and wecoming, I spoke with the manager and said how it's a really nice place you have and that I will leave a review, great options of healthy hot drinks, healthy breakfast, they even have a yoga room upstairs. I'm not a fan of cambridge so to find this place was great for somewhere to go were I felt welcomed upon entry, with friendly staff, 10 stars for tge Northern waitress, I'm sorry I forgot your name but thanks for the great hospitality.

As a cafe I can recommend this. The coffee and cakes are great. But the lunch menu was unimaginative and very plain. The Google reviews about amazing food are very misleading.

Really cold place and we had to wait a long time for food to arrive. It's also expensive for the kind of food served.

Disappointed with the service. Was by no means busy. Meal arrived, had to go back to counter ten mins later to ask for our drinks,,,they had forgotten. Bagel was not fresh and had to ask my friend to cut it for me..

Really nice, cosy vegan cafe right next to the Grafton. They have a very nice vibe going around with a nice community spirit that is hard to spot in Cambridge, friendly staff, and excellent vegan options for food and drinks.

Very small portions and very expensive! £8 for 2 small mince pies is just extortionate! They were extremely dry and lacking in flavor. Also £8 for two cappuccino's is expensive. The service is slow and staff were not very friendly,more interested in gossiping behind the counter. Will definitely not return.

I love this place and often go here. They had some trouble finding staff after Covid like a lot of places but they're now back to regular service and the place has started to feel like a community, especially with so many events there.

Lovely coffee and the cafe has nice cosy atmosphere but is way overpriced and food quality and portions got worse. I spent almost 12£ on cappuccino and bacon roll with avocado and then waited for 30 min to get my tiny roll. The bun with additional avocado costs 8£ and this is not what I would expect for that price. The bun was hard and vegan bacon bit burned… They can get quite busy on weekends so it also takes a while. I used to have their bacon roll few times before and it was definitely bigger portion and nicer bacon than it is now. I am quite dissapointed :( Ps. Using plastic cups for water is not something I would expect from the vegan eco friendly cafe.
