The best restaurants serving Mediterranean food in East Midlands

We had a lovely meal at the White Lion on Sunday. The Beef dish was outstanding. Service was amazing on the day, our very attentive waitress was Darcey. Prices are also very reasonable, I highly recommend a visit. Also it’s great that they serve food weekdays at Lunchtime. Easy 5 stars. Thank you Sasha & Ben, keep up the great work.

We ordered falafel to be delivered to our house , food came in special thermal control paper bags . Bread is baked and freshly made . 2 sandwiches with hummus base, pickled ,tomatoes & pickled turnip 3 sandwiches with tummy’s base , tahini & tomatoes Falafel , chili potatoes ( batata harra) All sandwiches tastes great , filled generously The batata / potatoes are very chilly & spicy , I fully understand its name means chili but this was too spicy we had to throw it in the bin !

They had accidentally sent the wrong order but they sent another and corrected it. Thank you.

We went to town and it was time for brunch / light lunch Staff were friendly , ordered a gluten free goat cheese sandwich with sticky fig jam / chutney it came toasted & delicious but quite overpriced £7.60 for its size Ordered decaf coffee for £3.70 & vanilla oat matcha for £4.50 which I really enjoyed They have great variety of sandwiches & cakes that suits majority such as gluten free or vegan options , all food are freshly made and nice coffees and a large fridge with chilled drinks Many indoor tables as well as outdoor seating area , the cafe is super busy & packed with people Staff were working hard to provide your food as quickly as possible

Diagraceful They got the food order wrong twice. I was waiting for over 40 mins with 2 kids The chips bag was leaking The drink was leaking No consideration No empathy In the end I just gave the food back and left.

Terrible food. Cake was stale, I couldn't eat it. Staff did not speak Portuguese. I was very disappointed with the experience.

We have just come back after a very dissapointing lunch!! We had an email with a welcome ten pound voucher off food over 40 pounds so we said we would try a sunday lunch.we had been here before so we thought it would be good.we ordered 2 roast beefs both beef was aoutside both sides of the slice aof beef full of grisstle and fat my husband could cut his beef but i couldnt cut it.i asked the waiter to take it back he took it away and said he would get the manager .she came and said can i get you a relacement and a drink while you wait i said yes please she brought me a lager shandy half.when my beef came back my husband had eaten his dinner and i was to eat my dinner on my own!! Not great when you have come together to eat! My beef was still a lot of grissle on the outside and beef was bland the rest of the dinner was great.then asked for the bill and they had charged us for the drink !! Cheeky.will not return there again.

The name is NOT ottoman kitchen, no bar tender, dishes came without the correct accompaniments, £17 for about 3 handfuls of salad with 5 lumps of feta and no dressing posing as "greek salad". However the staff were nice, the Sigara borega (feta cheese in filo pastry) was delicious.
