The best restaurants serving Japanese food in Edinburgh and Lothian

No te pierdas este fantástico café. Sirve el más delicioso bento de lomo de cerdo y bento vegetariano. Las porciones son enormes y bellamente presentado. El lomo de cerdo frito rallado era perfecto, jugoso, tierno y sabroso. Los pequeños lados eran todos caseros - cuidado y atención era evidente en todos los platos y cafés. El lugar no tiene capacidad para muchos comensales, por lo que puede ser prudente reservar con antelación o ir durante las horas bajas pico. Muy, muy recomendable este café. El servicio, ambiente, comida y bebidas es de primera categoría.

THE BEST fried chicken I’ve ever had. Okonomiyaki on the menu which I’ve not seen on menus anywhere outside of Japan so far. They do huge pizzas too which look delicious. Fun and relaxed place to hang out. Good and drinks CHEAP drinks menu. Really interesting looking cocktails I’ve not seen before. I’m looking forwards to coming back. Every so often I like to treat myself to a little meal on my own. Nice to sit in the corner watching Naruto. I noticed families eating there as well as some other solo customers who sat at the bar, the staff were all cheerful and friendly without exception. Seems like a cool place to hang. The vibes were immaculate. They also cater to veggies. I’ve been searching high and low for a Japanese/chicken place. Really authentic food, lovely atmosphere, huge portions and unbelievably good prices. It’s well worth the minuscule 2 minute walk away from the main drag where the restaurants are all either over priced and/or quite shoddy. El servicio es muy amable y amable, siempre tienen las mejores comidas y son muy complacientes con su comida ya que mi novio es vegetariano y siempre cambian sus recetas para adaptarse a él. Su Yukgaejong y okonimiyaki es el mejor que he tenido, incluso mejor que algunos de Japón. Tienen un precio muy razonable, además de la increíble elección que tienen y el servicio que brindan. Su hija y su hijo son una delicia absoluta y la familia ha hecho maravillosamente para llevar su cultura a esta parte del mundo. Ten su pastel de matcha y te prometo que será la mejor parte de tu día <3

Went to Edinburgh for the day and found this place on our tour! It has only been open a month the owner told us. The food was absolutely amazing! Please check out the pics I posted.. you won’t be disappointed 😋

Bubble Tea was divine. It was a bit of a wait but Taro Tea definitely worth it. Would definitely return.

we went here on a whim, however the sushi was amazing !! Small and cosy, but the staff were friendly :) i can definitely tell that they value their customers a lot :)) My friends really enjoyed the ramen and okonomiyaki, the sushi was great too n

It's a small shop, the taste is good, and the portions are not too big. Overall, it's cheap and cost-effective, and there's a 10% discount on cash. This is one of the few restaurants in the city where you can eat for less than ten pounds. Students, if you have enough money, don’t eat supermarket meal deals every day.

Great ramen, music a bit loud and obnoxious but otherwise the best ramen joint in Edinburgh

Gar nicht einfach zu finden das Hibiki - da es unterhalb also im Basement unter einem thailaendischen sich befindet. Die Einrichtung ist nett aber nichts besonderes. Was mich sehr beeindruckt hat war die Qualitaet der vewendeten Produkte war ausgezeichnet. Ich haette mehrmals Thunfisch und der war wirklich ausgezeichnet. Preislich ist das Restaurant aber auch schon etwas gehobener - aber immer noch voellig in Ordnung fuer das was geboten wird.

While the food is good, avoid this place on Friday evenings. Service is subpar, slow, and requires chasing staff for action. It's cash only. We ordered two mains, and they asked if we would accept the second after the first. If two people order simultaneously, we expect food to arrive at a similar time, not after one person finishes. They need more staff.

Almorcé en este acogedor y tradicional - estilo sushi - ya. Atmósfera y boca superlativas - regar la comida! Pedí un temaki, una selección de sashimi y una selección de nigiri abrasado y seguramente puedo decir que nunca había tenido platos tan sabrosos antes (ni siquiera en mis 2 viajes a Japón). Estándares de higiene de primera categoría también! Realmente recomendable! Obviamente, no esperes precios de “todo lo que puedas comer”, de lo contrario sería pescado (no se pretende hacer juegos de palabras)

Evan was very engaging, polite and friendly and made the experience great. The food and sake was on point too.

Good service but food quality was less than average. Sushi was Ok but chicken teriyaki was bad, most of it was plain rice, chicken was scarce and tasteless, and there was an evident lack of vegetables. Sad if you consider they charge £9 per Teriyaki dish. We won’t come back.

Restaurant de ramen présent en plusieurs endroits en ville d'Edimbourg. J'ai commandé du kimchi, ainsi qu'un ramen au poulet bien épicé. Un peu dommage que la composition des ramen ne soit pas détaillée sur la carte, mais rien de bien grave. Après dégustation : Kimchi top... Poulet bien tendre... La portion de poulet aurait pu être un poil plus grande... Nouilles savoureuses... Portion de nouilles généreuse... Bouillon trop épicé selon mes préférences, pas d'équilibre de saveurs en bouche... Un ramen de qualité, juste dommage pour le bouillon, mais il s'agit là de mon choix que j'assume complètement vu que la carte signalait clairement l'assaisonnement très fort. Je repasserai volontiers et commanderai leur nouveau ramen avec le bouillon curry-coco qui avait l'air bien gourmand. Des prix quand même un peu plus doux qu'en Suisse, du coup on ne regrette pas les 10% demandés pour le service. Cela dit en passant, un service efficace en période d'affluence, idem pour le plaçage à la table avec une file d'attente de 15 personnes j'a attendu 5 environ , merci.
