The service is sooooo freindly and kind, they always have the best meals and are sooo accomodating with their food since my boyfriend is a vegetarian and they always change their recipes to suit him. Their Yukgaejong and okonimiyaki is the best I've had, even better than some I've had from Japan. They are very reasonably priced as well considering the amazing choice they have and the service they give. Their daughter and son are an absolute delight and the family has done wonderfully to bring their culture to this part of the world. Have their matcha cake and I promise you it will be the best part of your day <3

My partner and I have now visited this place twice and we love it! Especially all the veggie options. A lot of the menu has the option to be veggie or vegan, although their new menu design makes this a little less clear and is less descriptive of what will be in the veggie version. Everything we've ordered here has been delicious and memorable. The teas were a pleasant surprise! The corn tea is my favourite. Food portions are large. Staff were very attentive and accomodating, although I do get the sense of being a stupid foreigner when I'm there. Probably just a sign of authenticity! The decor is lovely and I already can't wait to go back.

As usual I was on a trip to Edinburgh, I stumbled upon this restaurant. I was intending to visit Cafe Andamiro again, but found that they have expanded and opened a new shop. As Ramen being one of my favourite food to eat, naturally I have wondered into the shop. It was a different feel to the original shop, it was more modern, clean and cosy at the same time. I sat down and ordered a Bun with marinated pork to start, then I ordered soyasauce ramen, I think it was Shoyu. The bun was fantastic, the ramen was also great. Personally, my favourite was the marinated pork "Chashu", I was told that it was homemade, and it was just so juicy and tender. On the whole, I would rate this shop's Ramen in the top of my list of ramen shops I have been to. It was interesting that most of the menu were vegan friendly, it surely is a hidden gem to find a authentic Japanese ramen shop so accommodating for vegans. Hats off the the staff and chefs who work there. I will definitely come again on my next trip.

A friend took me to this little (and fairly new, I think?) ramen bar recently after speaking highly of it for a couple of weeks now. As someone who loved and regularly ate ramen while living in Japan before going vegan and running into the roadblock of meat-based broths, I was really happy to see how many of the dishes on the menu could be prepared for vegetarians and vegans, as well as how clearly these options were labelled. And it was great to have the chance to eat ramen of the non-instant variety again. Having been burned by “vegan ramen” before, I was initially a little skeptical that the thick, meaty flavour of ramen broth could be recreated with no meat stock, but the food quickly put these fears to rest - the shoyu ramen I ordered was delicious, hearty, and nothing like some of the unfortunately rather bland vegan noodle dishes I had had at other places in the past. And my friend seemed equally pleased with his own non-vegan broth. The menu also had quite a few interesting-looking dishes of Korean origin (cold noodles!) which, as a recent convert to the wonders of Korean cuisine, I look forward to trying next time. Prices were pretty reasonable for Japanese food in Edinburgh, and while the restaurant was a quiet, unassuming, and relatively small place not unlike the tiny, independently owned ramen bars dotted around Japan, I found it pleasantly decorated and well lit, and the hall staff were polite and helpful. Very much recommended!
