The sushi is really good and affordable, and for takeout sushi this would have been 5 stars! I definitely recommend this place for the food and have previously rated it 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ However, I’ve had to take out one star because of the dine-in experience. The service was good but the seating area could use a deep clean or even redecorating. Unfortunately it felt a bit dirty and worn - the table, the floors, and even the walls. I hope you can take this as constructive criticism though, because I won’t let this stop me from eating at Matane Sushi and if the cleanliness was improved it would take my review back up to 5 stars :)

If you have experience with real authentic asian food give this a miss as you will be disappointed. Duck don was soggy with standard hoisin sauce. Dumplings were well cooked but flavourless, could have done with a kicking sauce. It felt overpriced for such bland boring dishes. Better options to be had in the market.

We went to the sushi school this evening for my son’s 9th Birthday. We had an excellent time, the chef was so attentive and really went the extra mile explaining all the different ingredients and names for different things. Made us feel so welcome, we’re already planning a return with our friends and family!

Came here recently for bubble tea with friends. Ordering and payment is done on electronic panels, and there's lots of cool choices on offer. Service is pretty fast, and the prices are okay for the size. They taste decent too. Overall, a fairly happy experience!
