The best restaurants serving Italian food in Renfrewshire Glasgow and Surrounding

Lovely little restaurant. Very traditional feel, staff were attentive and service decent. Food was mediocre. OH's pizza was good but my risotto was rather humdrum. Doubt it was actually risotto rice, looked more like longgrain, was bland and uninteresting. Garlic bread was dry, burnt and not very garlicy.

Great place for lunch. Lovely restaurant, great food and amazing portions. The girl serving us was lovely too. Great Service. Would highly recommend and go back!

Dined before we went bowling as a family, the kids loved their food and even more so the chocolate brownie dessert, a big thumbs up from all of us!

Half price cocktails on a Wednesday!!! Friendly staff......perfect blue lagoon, Great music in the background. Definitely be back, 5 stars

Went here for dinner with family, staff were great and really welcoming. Ellis really looked after us and was so accommodating. Would definitely recommend. Food was great and portions were perfect, kids pizza was massive.

Love Mahony's! Never had a bad meal anytime i've eaten here. Even had a family meal, for 16 people, for a birthday celebration. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Seemingly it has the best steak pie, ever - from everyone that had it! :-) The staff are lovely - can't fault them in any way. Very attentive.

My girlfriend & I got crispy fried mozzarella with spicy calabrese ketchup (£8) to share for our starter - I personally didn’t like the taste of the sauce, thought it tasted smoky. My girlfriend got the chicken, mushroom & garlic rigatoni (£16) for her main and I got rigatoni arrabbiata (£13). We also got a portion of house fries (£4.75) to share. We both thought the food tasted average and the only reason we ate here, was because I had a 25% off blue light card offer. As the soft drinks were £3.75 for 330ml, we didn’t bother and just had iced tap water with our meal instead. Overall, we wouldn’t be in any rush to return.

Went to Monterey Jack’s in Braehead Xsite. Been before and burgers were lovely however… Went today, we had over an hour wait for our food on about 25% / 30% tables. Very poor. Wife ordered a cheese and bacon beef burger and as did I. After about 20 minutes came back and checked and advised beef was from a new supplier so couldn’t guarantee it was not contaminated (they need to update the more webpage menu as says burgers are available GF). So she asked for the skinless chicken burger, I stated at start of order and again I wasn’t cealiac. So my burger eventually arrived….notice anything? It’s a chicken burger, which I didn’t order, was raging after an hour wait on some simple food (I don’t have a gluten allergy) and then a further 10 minutes before my wife’s arrived. So I returned mine (untouched), spoke to the manager, he was unbelievable sympathetic about the service and speed. We didn’t pay and I would suggest avoiding for 4-5 weeks till the my sort out their service and website. Shame as first time we went about a year ago it was great. Doubt I’ll go back or take my kids back either.
