The best restaurants serving Italian food in Yorkshire and The Humber

My wife and myself went to our local restaurant on 13th March 2022 after many years of visits and found it as always beyond excellent! We started with a garlic bread pizza style; My wife had the chicken Cacciatoria which was brim full of the most tender chicken in a sauce that was to die for and with beautifully cooked vegetables. She was unable to finish her meal and at the Staff suggestion we had the remaining part of the dish boxed to take home. I ordered the 'normal' Chicken Kiev Calzone Pizza, it was huge!! the biggest I have ever had, and we have travelled a bit; the pastry casing was beautifully made and the filling heaven. I tried my best but could not eat it all...so again brought back home to eat tomorrow. The service was attentive and professional, and we noticed that they made special fuss of the children on the next table. The only sad, nay disastrous news, is that they are closing as the owner is subject to advancing years; they close after Easter this year...great sadness! we will miss it.

Personal extremadamente poco profesional. ¡Rudo y desconsiderado por no mencionar cómo se presentan a sí mismos considerando que están tratando con comida! ! ! ¡Evítalo a toda costa en vez de encontrar una furgoneta de helados!

Anteriormente había pasado por el Café Valeria un par de veces, pensando que era una reposición del Café Valerie. ¡Me equivoqué tanto! Caffè Valeria es independiente, propiedad de Yorkshire y solo tiene otra sucursal en Wheldrake cerca de York. Me vine la semana pasada para un café y estaba completamente convencido por el personal encantador, servicial y profesional. Necesitaba un Americano descafeinado como eran más de las 2 pm. A menudo los descafeinados son débiles y acuosos. La oferta de Café Valeria fue maravillosa, llena de sabor y una excelente crema. También tuve un delicioso pastel de higos y nueces hecho en la sede de Wheldrake. Los otros pasteles y tartas también parecen muy tentadores. Estoy encantado de recomendar Caffe Valeria, sin reservas.

STAPLES FOUND IN FOOD I and my family are regular customers in the Briggate shop. On christmas eve, me, my mum and my 10 month old son had food, we ordered jacket potatoes. Half way through my meal after feeding some food to my son i ate into 2 staples. I immediately went to the server who refunded my money, after discussing to 2 female staff in the kitchen, who clearly was laughing about the situation. I emailed food safety standards, and meal deal directors. Ive had a response back today from the directors, that state people nearby saw me opening letters with staples on. I didn't have any letters at all nor did my mum, infact just on my phone and interacting with my son. I am taking this further to check their cctv, and taking appropriate steps forward. AVOID AT ALL COSTS- taking no liability.

Best garlic bread ever!!! 100% recommend, had on many different occasions and has always been excellent !!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this place. I’ve been several times and it’s always got such a lovely atmosphere and a warm welcome from the two owners. The pizza is delicious and I am never disappointed. It’s simple tasty food, not fancy but that makes it even more delightful I think. I would encourage everyone to go and try it out, Yeadon lacks good places to eat and places that open up don’t seem to stay long. I hope this place stays ❤️

Place was understaffed when I came here with a friend. Took 30 mins waiting for a simple milkshake. Yes the gimmicks look impressive but not worth the painfully slow waiting times.

Ordered two mains which were very bland so very disappointing. The meat was tough and the sauce in both dishes runny and thin. Chips and rice were ok which tbh should be difficult to ruin. Do they have a different chef ?? Not up to their usual high standard unfortunately and ended up throwing most of it away. Strike 1

Well, finding the right words is not easy, however, even if this is used improperly by other people to raise the quality, in this case it is the right word that best describes a dinner at Giorgio: culinary experience!!!!! Moncalvese d.o.c. brings the essence and quality of Piedmontese and Italian cuisine to the dishes of his Scarborough restaurant. Excellent quality of raw materials, first-rate service and if you want to see the chef at work in the dining room, order the zabaglione with Casale Monferrato scabs and you will be fascinated by the mastery of the dessert preparation. Enough words, it's time to book a dinner.

Brilliant food as always. It’s spoilt me for all other pizzas in the area.

Had a great experience here today! The waiter Momin was lovely, offered fantastic customer service and really enhanced the experience, management give him a raise right now! Also the desserts were delicious, good variety and portion sizes - would deffo recommend and will be revisiting next time my sweet tooth starts to tingle!

Beautiful foccachi sandwiches filled with pesto, tomato, and rocket. Great coffee and tiramasu. I went to sorrento last year and it was like being back there again. Beautiful thankyou.

Lovely food at very competitive prices.The lamb shish kebab was absolutely delicious,pizzas too,salad fresh.Would definitely recommend and order from again. Also,the delivery was very quick.

First time getting food from here, the pizzas was lovely and fresh tasting not greasy.
