been coming here for the last 4 years been absolutely banging till today, it was absolutely disgusting no one liked there food and it had no taste at all !!!!

Very good food and very friendly, and fast service.

We are regulars even we not local travel 40mils to vanilla Rooms and food is always spot on lover the desert, even today everything was very good, but cookie dough was really dry flourie (and it's not first time we order this we get that on every visit) and told manager after 2 spoons he took that, but never came back to tell us what happened or offer to knock of from the bill really disappointed when it's comes to real customer service they have no idea how to deal with it, I think some trading needed here,

Staff are very friendly and helpful, the steak and king prawns are so good! So is the cookie dough. Overall great place.

I recently wen to vanilla rooms, with my family, and cusion and came in as a 6, they were happy too see us and sit us down, we sat in a cold place, but they were happy to move us to an area we wanted, we sat down and they services was spot on, food came nice and warm, chips were abit too over cooked, My sister got the chiken nabiley which was coverd in cheese, and super soft and warm, they waiter was really nice and loved serving us, we also order, an cookie dough too share for 3 which was piping hot and delicous!! Would recommend would come again xx

First time visiting vanilla rooms in Bradford and i must say i was overall very impressed with everything. We came in and were seated immediately, the food came after 10-15 mins although it was quite busy. The waiter, Ibrahim was very polite and welcoming and provided an excellent service. Definitely will be coming back especially for the brownie.

Whilst visiting Bradford popped in to vanilla rooms, visited twice and I wasn't disappointed, the food was delicious😋 everything was spot on, delicious dessert not forgetting the Falooda beautiful atmosphere lovely staff, especially Harris If visiting again will definitely be coming back.

This place has beautiful decorative modern summer vibes.the staff are all lovely and seem to enjoy working there it does seem like a friendly place the food is 6/10 wouldn’t recommend getting the pasta as was very bland and didn’t have any flavour to what was said on the menu. However the manager did apologise and rectified this by asking me if I would like anything else which I did get the beef steak with mash this was really nice full of flavour and even beautiful to look at I would recommend going here as over all it’s a very nice place and if the food isn’t what u expected they do their best do rectify it

On our latest visit, we decided to order dessert after a mediocre meal, only to be served with a broken plate. The presentation was appalling, but that was just the beginning of our ordeal. To our horror, we found insect parts in the ice cream. This was not only disgusting but also a serious health hazard. When we brought this to the attention of the manager, we were met with rudeness and a complete lack of professionalism. Instead of apologizing and addressing the issue, the manager insisted that we manage and still pay for the meal. This behavior is inexcusable and shows a blatant disregard for customer service and food safety. This incident was not isolated. On our visit prior to this one, we were served a spongy waffle that was sour and seemed to be expired or something. Despite mentioning it at the time, the issue was dismissed without proper attention. Given these experiences, we will not be returning to Vanilla rooms and strongly advise others to avoid it as well. The quality of the food and the attitude of the management have declined significantly, making it a place to avoid.

I wanted to eat cake and drink a coffe. In the menú, there were a few coffe, when I ordered, they said they don't do coffe!!!! In the menú said that they have a large lista of different tras, well, actually, only 3:pepermint, green tea and English tea. English tea was so untasty and seemed very cheap. (I think we paid around 3. 75 for it. No pistacho ice cream. Apart from that, service was amazing!!

Toilets were disgusting and flooded. Rude staff. Asked where the toilets were and was told. "Can't you read". Staff were on their phones as well as having little or no care that customers were waiting.

Never felt so ignored in a restaurant, the person in charge and the staff would pass by us and see that we were speaking to them asking for something but they would just ignore us if you're not Asian I wouldn't recommend stepping a foot inside this place.

I don’t often write a review but today I felt that I had to. Today, I came only for a milkshake and as always the staff are kind and sound. They offer an outstanding service and I’m sorry to say the manager doesn’t know how to speak to his staff. He was very rude to them. When I came to collect my order made on the phone, the person who made the milkshake had put it in a normal glass, assuming that I was going to have it inside. The individual didn’t know if my order was for in-store or take out. The manager spoke to the individual in a rude way. Told him to make a new one and that the customer was waiting. I mean, it’s an easy mistake to make that can be dealt with in a professional manner. We are not all perfect. Mistakes happen. They only way to keep all your staff happy is to speak to them in a professional manner. There’s no need to speak to them like they don’t mean anything to you. The kind girl on the till apologised to me for the wait and I said it’s ok. No problem. These things happen.

My second time coming here, first time I came must’ve been 2 years ago and I was not impressed however, now they have vastly improved the quality of service and the food 10/10 would defo be coming again.

Raw fish cold in the middle, was told the chops are already cooked and reheated. Curry was extremely oily and tasteless. Very expensive for food that falls below expectations and standards. Decided not to have desserts and went somewhere else.

I was really looking forward to dining at Vanilla Rooms in Bradford, especially given their reputation and pricing, but sadly, the experience didn't live up to expectations. The dishes seemed like they could have been frozen previously, lacking the fresh, vibrant flavors I was hoping for. The steak sauce was too thin and didn't add much to the dish. Even the drinks felt overpriced for what they were. However, the service was a redeeming factor; the staff was attentive and quick. Despite this, the overall quality and comfort were a bit disappointing.

Food was average. Our waiters were friendly. We were seated upstairs. The smell coming from the toilets was vile & we could smell it when going upstairs. Unfortunately the toilets hadn't been cleaned. You should maybe look into putting a door where you walk down to the toilets. Also, one of the waiters kept picking at his nose which put us off our food . 😔

No other dessert shop can beat this nice and fancy dessert area! THIS WAS AN AMAZING PLACE. No dibs. Tried the Belgian Chocolate Cake with cookies and cream. when i took that first bite it felt like fireworks popping in my mouth for this tasty amazingly surprisingly cake!!! NO DIBS, RECOMMENDED,NO OTHER DESSERT SHOP CAN BEAT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tool my kids today We ordered chicken steak and came with no pasta n no mash .the waiter kept on going back getting mash n then getting pasta honestly I was so disappointed honestly when you ask the manager he always turns around and blames it on us I don't understand don't these guys understand Customer service 🙄. I have been long standing customer of Vanilla room, Arkbars Cafe (now closed) for over 10 years. Sadly all good things must come to an end. Gone in last week to find Prices have gone up over 30% and the pricing does not make sense to me. UK inflation is @ 4% a starter costs £8???!, the same starter that was under £6 before. Prices went up previously when suppliers had issues with chicken storages and the rising cost of meat. ) less than 2 years ago! A waffle costs £10???!!! You work out a couple (2 people) having a starter each, mains, 1 drink each and dessert is over £70. Lets not work out a family of 3 or 4! Who ever set the prices also failed to check the cost of a main meal against starters, how can lamb chops (4 in a portion cost £8) and a lamb chop meal with chips/mash/veg cost £16 - might as well order mains and miss out starters. Cost effective. The UK economy has slowed down and people do not spend as much as they did. These increases do not reflect Covid, inflation or over heads. We might be funding other projects? But whoever does the accounting work or works out prices needs to revisit their calculations. I also do not see portion sizes or quality increase along with the bill! I d also wonder if V rooms sales will reduce as a result. But for one, will start eating else where or cook from home. This is not value for money or encouraging hard working people to spend to have loyalty at a food establishment. Does not make economic sense to increase prices when people are slowing in their spending - people go less or else where. Staff however are always 100% and try their best - wish them well. Arkbars/V rooms, had advantage in the food business in Bradford because it dished quality at affordable prices. Now you might as pick any restaurant as they do and charge the same.

Beautiful place, atmosphere here is really good and service is excellent. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Favourite place in Bradford.

Went today for the first time. The place is actually quite pretty but was a bit cold inside. Order fish masala which tasted very watery and almost raw. We then ordered dessert but tasted very bland and nothing special . Really average food. Wouldn’t personally come back. Side note - The waitress we had was new but really nice

Not as good as it used to be. Had a beef steak was pretty standard a little dry, with mash and pasta, pasta doesn't really do with it. Fish starter was fine. Spicy lamb burger as well pretty standard. Chocolate cake too much sauce on it was sickly.

We went there for a quick bite and dessert at 10.45pm on a Tuesday evening, after finishing a movie at the odeon cinema, we enquired before being seated whether they are still serving food and dessert to which they informed us tht kitchen will close by 11 but dessert counter will be open once we finish our food. We ordered an appetiser and couple of main dishes. The main dishes were served first AND THEN the starters came after 5-7 minutes!!! Literally within 15 minutes of our food being served we were given the bill so they could shut the restaurant and clear the tills which was OK but I enquired what about us wanting desserts and we were refused. I get it that it was late but what's the point of asking them if they were serving and being told yes, and then to be rushed like tht? Ofcourse they did not want business to be turned away but were happy to ruin our meal. Also no cutlery was given to which we had to remind and the food getting cold while we waited for the cutlery. Ambience is beautiful but the plush chairs of our table were filled with crumbs from previous customers.

Loved it, food was excellent, desserts were outstanding, service is amazing. 2023 Update** Service has gone really bad recently, staff are hard to get a hold of apart from a young guy with a quiff upstairs who is always great! The manager, short, stubby with glasses ignores customers, tables are never set and menu’s had to be asked for, then he walks off when he gets a call on his mobile phone. Manager downstairs that wears a white shirt is always good but the waiters act like commis waiters Not sure why this place is going downhill in service, Shabbir really needs to keep an eye on it because clearly the management are not good, and in turn the staff are not talking their jobs seriously.

Service was exceptional. Decor was very sophisticated and clean. Food was okay I got chicken saffrani expecting a creamy chicken but it was too on the tomato side for me but it was okay, I didn’t like the pasta at all. The lasagna was very nice and creamy and if I was to revisit I would get this. The starters was perfect the chicken pokora tasted very nice as well as the lamb chops. The molten cake was the highlight of the meal, not big fan of chocolate but this was to die for, would deffo come again just for the cake. Chicken saffrani - 6/10 Lasagna- 8/10 Chicken pokora- 8.5/10 Lamb chops - 8/10 Molten cake - 10/10 Overall service was great, food was good and the atmosphere was relaxed. Would visit again :) HALAL

Ice creams were nice but as it warm on the 2nd floor. All of our ice creams were already melting before it got to us.

Went here on a Thursday around 7pm, food was OK nothing special (ordered the steak). The waiters stand around near your table and it feels like your are being watched whilst you eat, notice one waiter have his phone near his hip pointing towards customers. Looked like he was taking pictures, made me feel very uncomfortable. A few times when groups arrived it feels like they are seated in the most efficient seat for the restaurant rather than the ideal seating for the group.

There was lots of flowers, very nice staff and lots of nice seating.

Honest review Atmosphere 5/5 decor really is stunning Staff need development- saw 2 table including myself trying to flag down staff continously. 1 waiter was too close to table when asking how our meal was felt he invaded personal space. Food- very very below par. Garlic bread lacked flavour tasted bland lack of seasoning. Chicken overcooked.chips ofc are alwayd nice lol. My burger OMG the cost isnt worth it at all!!! First time visit, will be back again

I’m a regular at Vanilla Rooms and normally really enjoy going there with family’s and friends for dinner, however my last experience this week has been horrible. Good was great as always and the waiter too but as soon as I get up to pay the bill i was approached by the receptionist with a bad mood and attitude. Tried to pay and she kept doing other things moving around and just wasn’t helping. Only takes us 2 min to pay the bill and I was standing there just waiting for her to sort out, once back she was just being rude. All I’m going to say is having someone like her on reception just makes the whole place look bad as she is the face of the restaurant. Really disappointed and would say she needs to get trained and be nice.

Had an awful experince at vanilla rooms, told the short manager of we could sit upstairs , which he replied no its closed and he let new customer who came in upstairs.Their were no waiters to ask about this issue so i asked the women on the bar she seem to understand us.Then the manager came we asked him he said in A rude way they were all booked even though their was space their so he rudely moved us upstairs. Not happy with the service.

Lovely looking eatery with a fairly limited menu. Quality of the food however is mediocre at best. I went for a large selection of the "lite bites" so that I could sample a bit of everything. Avoid the seekh kebabs, these are simply reheated frozen kebabs as evident by the amount of water dispelled from them. The pasta dishes would cause Italians to riot. Avoid those. The desserts are probably the saving grace for this place. I certainly wouldn't go back in a hurry for a full meal.

Service was great, good didn't take too long to come out. Food tasted amazing could have easily had seconds. Prices were good not too expensive. Toilet facilities were spotless loved the sink basins especially.

Really good food. Amazing ambience and service. We ordered chicken wings, lamb chops, tempura prawns and chicken nimbali. Everything was delicious. Unfortunately they brought in a wrong order for prawns. But the manager was very kind and did not charge us for the mix-up. Will definitely recommend to my friends.

From the looks to the food this place is really good. Seating area is spacious and classy and the food is nothing to be scoffed at the presentation and the taste itself is really good. Staff are super polite and helpful and the washroom facilities are also really nice and clean.

Ordered tempura prawns for starter, I got tikka prawns, when I questioned them, the response was, ‘we don’t have any tempura so made this instead’ Had the audacity to still charge me for something I didn’t even order. Didn’t even offer to ask if I wanted something else, just shrugged his shoulders and said I told the waiters not to take any orders for tempura prawns. No other restaurant would just randomly make you anything else without asking you. Mains were served before the starters, again what’s going on? Are the waiters even trained here? Food overall was ok, average. Waiters need to be trained, you don’t just give a customer something different to what they’ve asked because you think that’s the right thing to do. Stupid really.

For the first time in my life i walked out from a resturant. We ordered some drink and dessert..dessert was horrible and drink was nowhere to be seen. I raised the matter with the short guy and also to tall guy but staffs were clueless..i understand young boys are working there but three senior staffs had no sense of customer service..i even took dessert counter twice to query about our desserts and drink..lady at the dessert bar, not sure if she had any other task to complete apart from just looking around..i walked out and then realised i didnt pay so i went back in and paid the full amount, even though we didnt touch the food..But they would have no clue if i walked out without paying..it was not even busy there..staffs needs some good training.

Dense staff. Requested twice to move tables as I couldn't get my legs under. Had to walk out as they wouldn't move us as tables were apparently booked. They weren't, as walk in customers after us were given booths. Pointed this out and we're told all booked. Obviously didn't mind losing our custom as had other people to serve.

Very disappointed.. we visited the restaurant to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. It was evident that the staff lacked the attentiveness and professionalism one would expect from a reputable restaurant would expect… they forgotten about the birthday and served the cake without a candle and ruined our surprise

Came here for sister graduation meal and regretted it! Waiters don’t know anything about the food no point asking them, food came out cold and all in a pool of oil. Ordered lamb chops sizzler the lamb was so tough and had a smell, the manager didn’t even argue took it away must be used to complaints. We left and went across the road to eat at Howdys

Came from Sheffield for a 16th Birthday meal- loved the atmosphere. Friendly staff, asked to be seated upstairs, and they were happy to accommodate. Food was beautiful, price was reasonable. There was 8 of us. Mocktails were great, waiter was very attentive and professional. Enjoyed ourselves and will be back soon. Just remember to put soap in the washrooms 😉

Great service. We asked for proper desi tea and they had the chef make it. Chocolate fondant was awesome as well.

Nice desserts but the food I ordered a burger and the plate had broken chips and the ketchup sauce and mayonnaise they gave me was from aldi the presentation of the burger and chips was not good what so everm left disappointed.

Food was below average. Normally a regular at the cafe which has now closed but the menu for vanilla rooms has been updated. The standard however has not. The chicken steak is no longer succulent, the mash is not creamy or flavoursome, the pasta is also flavourless and the creamy sauce to go with steaks is not of the same quality and standard that the cafe had for many many years. The only thing that was the same was the dessert hence the 2 stars but I unfortunately now wouldn't give any stars for my once favourite chicken steak and on that basis I wouldn't return until the chefs learn the techniques and standards that the cafe had. Really disappointed with this and hope changes are made.
