The best restaurants serving Italian food in Cotswold South West

Alfonso Gelateria was the finest gelato that I’ve ever tasted! My husband and I had just come from traveling through Italy and never found authentic gelato like we found in the heart of the Cotswolds at Alphonso’s. I had read a lot about gelato and what makes it authentic, how it is to be stored to retain the best flavors and texture and the ingredients that go into it. Alfonso’s was excellent and every category. I rarely eat any desserts, but this was worth having an every way! Thank you for doing your gelato in a traditional and pure way. You will really be missing out if you don’t stop by this gelateria in Stow in the Wold!!!!

I brought my wife to Amore Mio to celebrate a milestone birthday and we were VERY happy with this choice! The staff were excellent, as weel as the food, and to top off the dinner, they played "Happy Birthday" over the music system, and got the rest of the customers to join them in singing Happy Birthday to my wife while presenting her with some of their famous gelato topped with a candle. Plus, they had Italian music playing as the background music, which too many ethnic restaurants don't do and that always takes away from the mood & feel for what they are serving and the authenticity of their cuisine. Love this place! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it's annoying to butter your toast when it's got fried eggs on it, but its something so small, the food is amazing coffee lush! We had dinner here last month breakfast here a few weeks ago, the food has always been bloody lovely!

Elena our server was amazing. Great energy. Free limoncello shots to tie up a perfect meal, definitely recommend the seafood pasta with garlic & tomato sauce.

Incredible service by Anna & Jose their recommendations were perfect, I had the steak done to perfection my husband had the garlic prawns and Pork Belly great combination. Very dog friendly our boys were allowed to relax under the table with no stress. We have booked to come back tomorrow. This really is the to to Place in the Town.
