The best restaurants serving Italian food in Cotswold South West

Alfonso Gelateria was the finest gelato that I’ve ever tasted! My husband and I had just come from traveling through Italy and never found authentic gelato like we found in the heart of the Cotswolds at Alphonso’s. I had read a lot about gelato and what makes it authentic, how it is to be stored to retain the best flavors and texture and the ingredients that go into it. Alfonso’s was excellent and every category. I rarely eat any desserts, but this was worth having an every way! Thank you for doing your gelato in a traditional and pure way. You will really be missing out if you don’t stop by this gelateria in Stow in the Wold!!!!

Great visit, service was excellent. Food selection and quality was very good. Prawn starter was especially yummy. We will be visiting again!

Great atmosphere, the food and service was excellent and quick even though we were having a late lunch . The service was not rushed at all. House wine and pizza and Tiramisu really good . Definitely go again thank you

We eat here regularly. Always a happy greeting, the food is consistently good and VFM and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. You will never leave hungry.

A brilliant restaurant that we've been to multiple times

My Birthday Surprise. 14 family members from 7 to me at 70. Food was fantastic I had the Salmon Mediterraneo, the Steak was Lush I am told and the Pasta was pretty good as well, the children of course thrilled to have Pizza and chips. The staff were amazing and attended at a pace that left us all time to relax and enjoy the evening. Would highly recommend

I ate here this evening on my own having read the reviews on Tripadvisor, and very pleased that I did. I had the risotto (Risotto al Polo). Perfectly sized portion, delicious freshly cooked flavour. Prices were very reasonable for the food and the drinks - and kindly no service charge added to the bill. I would very much recommend and hope to return sometime.

We arrived a little early so we had a drink at the bar. Our bartender was very helpful and nice. When our table was ready we had prompt service. Dinner was delicious we had the wagyu burger and haddock. We had a lovely visit and our waitress Adele was wonderful. We really enjoyed chatting with her and she was very kind and attentive.

We visit regularly because the service is great and the pizza is too!

OMG! An amazing experience. The setting, food and service were all outstanding! We would highly recommended this restaurant and regret we didn't eat here more during our stay. Very friendly and pleasant staff. Thank you
