The best restaurants serving Italian food in South Jesmond Newcastle upon Tyne North East

Our first visit and it certainly wont be our last. In fact thought long and hard about sharing this with everyone as it was so good and dont want to spoil it by making it too popular! Wonderful setting in Heaton Park, great value menu and terrific staff led by Nawfal who was both entertaining and provided great service. Our Sunday lunch was marvellous and at £8.99 was super value for a 3 course meal.

Coffee - great. Fresh food - great. Cakes - great. Chilled food - great. Service - outstanding. Really can't ask for more from a local coffee shop. You'll have to go a long way to find a better coffee shop. The entrance is slightly obscured but make sure to visit if you're in the area. Can't recommend it enough.

The best pasta in Newcastle. We’ve been three times to Mascalzone now and it’s been perfect every time. Great food & great service. Can recommend the ravioli!

Ordered pizzas twice to collect, the Salciccia & Rapini and Nduja Like Goats Cheese pizzas - both were absolutely delicious, ready on time despite the restaurant itself being incredibly busy, and the staff all seemed happy to be there! Has definitely become my go-to place for pizza in Newcastle, and I'm looking forward to booking a table with some friends and trying the pasta! My only request would be for dipping sauces, although they're easy enough to make at home.

In this I am quite confident: pizza does not get better than this. I am sad for anyone who has walked along Starbeck Avenue and did not stop off here.

Love everything about this place The staff work extremely hard & are really pleasant. The food is always hot & delicious. Going on Christmas day & looking forward to it.

The food is very good, but expensive the drinks are very expensive.

13.1.25 fantastic food and friendly service as always again today. Great surroundings too. Lovely to have food then a stroll around the park. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
