The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Italian food

Unusual and super tasty ice creams, and friendly helpful staff! Dark chocolate sea salt, and lemon blueberry cheesecake were both excellent. Well definitely be back. Also selling locally roasted coffee beans. We didn't try the coffee but the espresso machine looked fab.

Gyros was nice but the place is not child friendly or adaptive. Asked for a child’s tuna sandwich which arrived, two plain slices of bread with dry tuna placed in the middle. No sauce or butter. Was shocked on paying to be charged £9 for this, and when questioned was told we COULD have had the full tuna sandwich on home made bread and side dish so that’s why it was still full price. Very over priced and not child friendly menu.

Visited tonight and the pizzas were absolutely fantastic. Wonderful combination of flavours. Had the fig pancetta & blue cheese and the Brie grape & rocket. Would really highly recommend. Thank you Gary & staff

Estábamos a trajo el primer curso equivocado ser camarera despejó la mesa antes de que mi esposa hubiera terminado de comer c desertó e ignoró durante una hora completa antes de que llegara el siguiente curso. Fue una vergüenza, y una lástima, he estado usando la tienda durante décadas y era el cumpleaños de mi esposa.

Really delicious brunch with family and amazing staff - so helpful. I’m vegan and gluten free and they very kindly made me an amazing bespoke sandwich. We’ll be back!

The food that I had here was exceptional. I had the gourmet pizza which was very tasty and the dough balls and meat board we had to start was so tasty I could have carried on eating them all day. The staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Will definitely be returning

Tasty food but awful service. Such a disappointment. This place has been brilliant in the past but while the food is still lovely the place is let down by the service. It’s totally chaotic. There doesn’t appear to be any organisation up front. Firstly they were completely overbooked. They squeezed 11 of us onto a table for 6 for the first 20 minutes. But at least we got a table. A few people turned up after us with reservations but basically had to leave because there was no space. It only went downhill from there. Drinks came out one at a time with several reminders that we were missing some. Bizarrely they then chose to serve all the adults food first before the kids meals with the kids just getting restless and hungry. At least the food was tasty. Finally I would just not bother ordering dessert if you do go. 20 minutes to get someone’s attention to order and then at least 25 more minutes to get the kids bowls of ice cream out (which we were charged full price for when they should’ve been included in the kids meal price). Our waitress was friendly throughout but clearly overwhelmed. We tried to flag her down several times to ask for an update as the little ones were now getting beyond bored and very tired. She was busying herself on the opposite side of the quite small restaurant and appeared to be purposely not looking over at us as I think she was just embarrassed by how long things were taking. Multiple other staff just faffing near the tills and no one even trying to clear our table from the main course or update us on our order. The lack of communication just added to our poor experience. It’s such a shame for a previously great place. I’ve heard from other people who have found the service similar when they went. Someone told me they waited 1 hour for their desserts and bill when they went and again saw the staff turning away multiple people looking for a table while they sat waiting. They must not want people’s business. Certainly for my party the tasty food just isn’t worth the sheer frustration of the service and we won’t be back.

Although not a restaurant, the food is of restaurant quality, I think. Little seating next to the van, but a nice little spot to eat mid-shop. Pizza was delicious and not badly priced either. Would definitely reccommend. Not sure if they do drinks? I didn't see a list for any so if they don't already, would reccommend drinks being available.

We visited the Wood Fired Pizza Shack at The Cherry Tree, Market Harborough, in November 2024. All 3 pizzas, lovingly cooked by Jonnie, were superb. His customer service is second to none. We will be back soon.

I would highly recommend a visit to this fantastic restaurant. It was our first visit and we shall certainly be back soon to try the highly rated Sunday lunch. The staff are also very friendly and attentive to the customers needs. Well worth the visit 👌👍

Hidden gem with fresh home cooked delicious food, be aware, stairs only up to the restaurant . Everything about this restaurant will have you going back for more, I cannot recommend it enough, the food was just delicious, from the complimentary appetiser of dough balls , the dips that went with this dish were so tasty, to the main and sides, and of course the dessert, we were also given a bottle of water without needing to ask. Also a complimentary baileys for us both at the end of our meal as It was my birthday , a nice touch, thank you 🤩. We met the owner and we had a little chat which was nice and the waiter who was looking after us was very friendly and courteous. All in all we had a lovely evening and will definitely be back.

Swcond visit. Best Italian food outside Italy. Great service, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. Can't wait to go back.

It might look like a cafe on the outside (if you can find it), but there’s a proper restaurant with a proper kitchen on the inside. A small but varied menu, good portions and tasty. The chef was out among the guests, taking orders and asking if all ok. Well placed confidence. We would definitely return.

We have the privilege of living close to this restaurant so visit regularly. The food is always delicious, fresh and piping hot. The garlic bread is AMAZING. The portion sizes are very generous too. I just wish I had a bigger stomach to be able to fit more than one course in!!
