The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Italian food

Delicious food, we loved the lasagne, spaghetti con polpette and the heavenly banoffee pie. I also really appreciated the thoughtful service, we were sat outside and our waiter always made sure we were warm and dry.

I was the organiser for a meal at Amici's for group of 70 of us from a literary society. From start to finish the whole experience was fantastic. I dealt with Mauro (the owner) by email confirming all the details and meal choices in advance, and then met him in person before the event. The manageress (Emily I think?) was also brilliant. On the night they had lots of staff on duty and every single one was friendly, polite, helpful and professional. The meals were really tasty (and huge portions). I have no idea how the chefs manage to send out 70 meals in quick succession, they were amazing. The whole thing was a wonderful experience, I highly recommend them.

hello x I came today to the restaurant today after along time not to celebrate mothers day .I was very pleasantly surprised to be greeted so warmly. Outstanding! Excellent food and service from start to end. Nothing was a problem! The waiting staff explained bits on the menu that we queried.

So sad it's closed. Been visiting for over 40 years. My favourite Italian bar no . Visited Edinburgh when ever I could to call on bar Italia. So sad

50th wedding anniversary Dinner for 21 people. Excellent food well presented and very tasty. All staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere.

The food is always a good portion, good value for money and delicious- not had a bad experience yet and gone multiple occasions over the years Staff are upbeat and friendly and great service The atmosphere is good a few modernisations could take it to the next level but has a homely feel

Terrible service tatty décor very average food my wifes was overcooked mine was cold. Do not waste your money!!!!!
