The best restaurants serving Indian food in Sutton Trinity Birmingham West Midlands

Great place to chill, eat and watch sporting events. Brilliant atmosphere

I can’t even explain how awful my experience was. Like someone else previously leaving a review, if I could give 0 I would. Let’s start with timings, it took 2 hours for my food to arrive despite ordering before 6pm on a Saturday. I’m vegetarian and my mixed veg curry basically consisted of peas and sauce - not to mention it was the blandest thing I’ve ever tried. The naan bread was about an inch thick and was too doughy. Would never order from here again.

We hired Veerus as our wedding caterers. We went for a tasting and it was so good, the flavours were all there. Fast forward to the wedding day the canapés and the evening food was spot on HOWEVER the main food for the sit down meal was a huge let down. It was not what we tried at the food tasting, the rice was watery, the roti was burnt! The curry had no flavour and the sauce of it was so watery! the dhal was not buttery like when we had tried it and to top it off they used the most ridiculous serving plates ( you literally couldn’t fit anything in them) we had to ask for more food to be put in the bowls as there wasn’t enough to go around the table. Overall we were very disappointed especially as the sit down meal was not what we expected. We tried to raise with to Shevy ( the owner) but he wasn’t having none of it, and we have chased and chased and yet had no response! I wouldn’t recommend Veerus as wedding caterers ,so disappointing and they even turned up late on the wedding day!

Service was beyond dire, Sat for 20minutes before asked if we wanted a drink. We were the only people in there, the staff/management were too busy having a conversation between themselves, to take care of the customers. It took a further 10 minutes of so, for the drinks to actually arrive. The food was barely average, and given the large number of excellent Asian restaurants in the area, we are surprised, they still have customers. At no point were asked if the food was ok, or offered refills on the drinks, not even water. When we paid the bill, there wasn’t even an acknowledgment or goodbye, We had read reviews, saying the service was poor, but we through we’d try it anyway, however now the reviews have been proved right, we won’t be returning.

So we wanted to watch cricket and they happily agreed to play it only until for the next couple of hours when rugby was going to be on. However, when the cricket was on they did not put the commentary on and played loud music, no point in watching cricket without commentary. But when they switched to rugby they put the volume as high as they played music earlier. Tells me lot about the place that panders certain audiences over others. Definitely not going here again!
