Tapri is a great spot for indian food lovers, whether for a date night or casual family dinner. I’ll definitely be back, though I’d love to see a bit more spice in their indian dishes.

I recently visited Tapri on a Saturday night, and while the ambiance and food were decent, I was disturbed by the noticeable presence of underage drinking. Groups of young patrons were openly consuming alcohol without any apparent checks by the staff. It’s concerning that such behavior is being overlooked, especially in a family-friendly establishment. This not only puts the restaurant’s reputation at risk but also raises serious legal and safety issues. Until stricter age verification is enforced, I cannot recommend this place for a responsible dining experience.

Great food, I had a large mixed grill which was huge and really tasty but I believe the Fish pakora is the best I have ever had, service is excellent and the staff are brilliant.

I had an excellent experience at Tapri Restaurant and Grill during the boxing match on Saturday! Despite the busy atmosphere, the bar service was impressively fast. The bartender, Astha, was friendly and efficient, making sure we never waited long for our drinks. The vibe was perfect for sports fans, and I’ll definitely be back for more match days!

We as a group of 6 chose meat and vegi dishes. My stag was watered down spinach and there wasn't any taste. They did bring me something else of my choice. I don't know what they are cooking in but the smell of the vegetable briyani wasn't acceptable to my palate. Unfortunately 3 of our group were ill after the meat dishes they ate. Also I have been to Ask the restaurant quire a few times. Tapri has the building now but hasn't updated the seating area. Which is heavily sunken in. Your poppadoms were not fresh.

Dined many times at Tapri, food has always been great. Usually a good spot to watch sports. The bad news is that with the cheaper drinks it seems to have attracted a very young crowd, some which are obviously below legal age to drink alcohol. The doors might as well be revolving they are opened that often. They even bring their own bottled spirits in! If it continues like this then the place needs management presence.

I ordered in via Deliveroo while I was staying at The Premier Inn North Birmingham (Sutton Coldfield). Service was rapid and the food….firstly, I could not decide from the menu; everything looked delish! When I finally decided, I ordered more than I needed. Man! I just about chewed my fingers off. I loved how rich the food was. I think I got lamb and paneer spinach with naan, but it doesn’t even matter. Just check out the photos. Now I’m hungry (just for this food).

It's a bar that serves Indian food which tastes good, smaller portions than a restaurant, but tasty. If you want to watch sport it's the place to go, lots of screens. Some seats can be noisy.

We ordered a Grill platter, Desi Lamb curry, butter nan and some drinks. Little disappointed with the mint chutney :). Ambience was really good and food was good. Not overpriced for the quality and quantity.

Absolutely delicious food and such lovely staff - in particular Ranjit & Mya - live in Halesowen and will try the one nearer but when in Sutton this is my first choice.! Thank you 🙏

We had chilly chips, chicken wings and a large mix grill. The food was really good and we really had a great time watching the euros. The staffs were really friendly too. Would totally recommend 10/10.

First time dining in at Sutton Coldfield and Tapri gave the best experience. Staffs were extremely friendly, special shoutout to Aastha and the young man at till for their excellent customer service. Plus, the place was very neat and clean and live sports made the visit more enjoyable.

Great location. Food was just ok. I think their main focus is on drinking. Was very loud during game and a lit of rowdy foorball fans. Waiting for drinks at the bar was exceptionally long. Either not enough staff serving or not fast enough serving.

Absolutely amazing food very tasty, fresh and good portions. Naan breads were extremely soft and perfectly cooked. Would highly recommend definitely the best I’ve been too in a long time.

Fantastic food, great staff and a nice atmosphere. That’s a 10/10 in my books. I’m here for a work trip and thought I’d try out the local cuisine. I’ve previously eaten in every Indian restaurant in Portsmouth so my review comes with some credibility. I have to say this was better that every single one in Portsmouth and it wasn’t even close. I would definitely come here again

2nd time visit orderd large mix grill to share between 2 plenty of food could have fed 3-4 people so good for money, orderd a curry rice and naan bread and masala chips food was bang on, the service was fantastic very polite and friendly people, if you come down Monday to Friday between 3 and 6 it's buy one get one free on all beers and wines will definitely come again ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Really this is the restaurant. Today I eat "chicken wings and pilau rice", really tasty. Great atmosphere with proper music and place looks really aesthetic. Great customer service too. Overall had an absolutely wonderful time and really enjoyed the food, extremely tasty🤩❣️❣️

Tapri Sutton is amazingly improved their hospitality. Lax and Rana combo doing really great, pub is so clean and really enjoyed villa vs Liverpool match , great ambiance.

Mixed Grill was poor. Chicken tikka was made using rolled thighs rather than breast and didnt taste fresh. Lamb chops were chewy and had a bad taste because fat not rendered properly. Lamb sheesh was dry and plasticy in taste and texture. Fish Pakora tasted as if it came from freezer straight into fryer. Lentil daal was tasty and masala chips were ok. Good pilsner on draught. Let down by meat quality.

Great place to chill and relax with amazing food and service

First time here and what a nice surprise. Greeted by very friendly staff. After been seated the drinks and menus appeared really quickly. I wanted a Bhuna but wanted some heat. They said it would be no problem to cater to this. The food turned up and it was good portions with lots of meat. Staff kept checking in on us and were extremely friendly. I think this place is making the best curry in the area. Will definitely return and would recommend.

The football was on which we didn’t mind but the volume they had the sound on wouldn’t have been better suited for a music concert. The staff seemed nice and the food was okay just ridiculously loud on the TV

The service was efficient and friendly and the food was tasty and good value for money. The place let's itself down by not really having a cohesive identity. Is it a sports bar, a bar or a restaurant. For me I would ditch the TVs, improve the decor and focus on the food and potential bat opportunities. The decor needs to be improved, as its really bare and just needs an identity. I would go back, but for the food not the ambiance 🙂

Food is average and for the local community not inspiring lacking in spices and taste. Curry sauce was clearly a can of tomato and mixed up with spices. The chicken briyani is not layered is anything was a mixture of boiled rice and with a few chicken chunks thrown in. the madras sauce 3 spoon fulls and your done. If you want authentic desi grill unfortunately not this place

It's OK at best. Food was decent and came out fast. Very noisy in there though. Playing football on TV screens so it's more like a sports bar than anything else. Service wasn't great. We got shown to our table that we had booked for 7 and 2 blokes were sat at it eating. They had to rush there food so we could sit down. It was for my friends birthday so we had dropped a cake off earlier in the day. When we asked for the cake the waitress came and put it on the table and left. We had no bowls, no cutlery, nothing. We had to call someone else over and ask for them. Bit of a shambles in there tbh and I wouldn't rush back, put it that way.

This is my 2nd time coming to this amazing Indian restaurant in Sutton and the food is fantastic with incredible flavours. The lollypop chicken starter was delicious with good amount of spices. Nick served us today and is very kind, polite and professional in his job. I will return again as the food is the best in Sutton.

Walked into this bar and grill and they got us a table quickly and we were greeted with friendly service immediately. The food was excellent- we had the large mixed grill which came out sizzling on the plate piled high! The chef came over to the table and asked us how everything was which was a great touch. Overall great food and friendly staff - 100% will be back!
