Hot Ice Bar and Grill in Birmingham

The mixed grill was sizzling however, most of the meat was tough and like rubber. The lamb was tough, the chicken wings were definitely cooked from frozen. The rice was put in the microwave and over heated that it also tasted like rubber. 3rd time I've been and its just gone down hill. I don't think I'll go there again. Sorry Tapri, it just wasn't enjoyable. Turn the heating on once in a while too.

Went here while staying at the Belfry, lots of screens for the football and boxing. Great selection of ales and the food and service was superb. A must go to if in the area, great atmosphere both nights we were in there.

Second time I've eaten in after having 4 or 5 deli cious take aways. The food here is great, decent sized portions and reasonably priced. The food always comes out within good time, piping hot, tasty and full of flavour. The staff are all wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble and they seem genuinely happy and smiley, not just because it's their job. I recommend everyone to try the mixed grill, samosa chaat and goat curry WOW ❤️

We eat here at lease twice a month. The chicken karahi is the best. Great selection of draught beers. Cobra 😋 New menu aswel now with chicken 65. We've just come back from a holiday in fuerteventura, I tried two chicken karahi over there and they were crap. Couldn't wait to get in here upon our return and have my favourite 😍

Great food, I had a large mixed grill which was huge and really tasty but I believe the Fish pakora is the best I have ever had, service is excellent and the staff are brilliant. I’m downgrading the atmosphere to 3 stars as the heating is not working properly and it was bloody freezing in there.

Tapri is a 10/10 for me. One of the hidden gems in Sutton. It has more than reasonable prices, quality food, and staff that always look after us and make you feel welcome - I could not recommend this place enough!

A* food, service and management from start to finish, some of the best food I've had for a long long time and an absolute brilliant array of drinks to complement the great food at a very respectable price considering the area. Would highly recommend.

We have been using himalayian bar/ hot ice bar since its opened but tonight I tried the hakka noodles for the first time i ordered them hot and they did not disappoint they were amazing far better than any chow mein I've had but beware they have a good kick. They were so good we ordered a home delivery 4 days later on xmas eve and was equally delicious as a takeaway dish they were shared with a portion of chicken tikka and a naan and masala chips and easily enough food for 2. We love going and are alway made extremely welcome by all staff..highly recommend

Food was amazing. It was busy due to boxing match coming on. It's a bar where you order and pay for food with your drinks at the bar. However we didn't appreciate one of the waiters challenging us as we were leaving to ask us if we were going to leave them a tip and if not why? To be honest all staff did was bring food over it was not table service. We are usually good tippers but this has put us off coming here in the future.

The chips were a mixed bag, with some burnt and others just about passable, but none had any salt. We ordered two large mixed grills, each containing a single portion of chicken tikka but an abundance of wings. Unfortunately, the food lacked the characteristic chargrilled flavour, appearing pale and soggy instead. Overall, the meal was both underwhelming and overpriced—very disappointing.

What an amazing bar restaurant. From the moment we walked in there was a warm welcoming atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and courteous. Food was delicious and plenty of it. Thanks for hosting our Christmas Party will definitely be back with the family

Came with my PAX buddies from F3 Nation and the food and service was excellent. Pushka (sorry for spelling) the chef came out to see us. Lot of care taken, excellent service and probably 5th or 6th visits now and it’s consistently great. Recommend vege and meat mixed grills and the Thali also had Paneer Mahkni

Had dinner today at Tapri again. It definitely has become my favourite Indian restaurant to go to!

We both had a lovely meal at The Himalayan grill. I ordered the Matar paneer with pilau rice & my partner ordered the goat curry with fried rice. We were asked how hot we’d like our meals & we both got them exactly how we wanted them. The food was all very tasty & perfectly spiced. Even the pilau rice was a lot nicer than I’ve had at other places! The waiter was polite, attentive & helpful & we can’t wait to return to this restaurant!

Tapri is a great spot for indian food lovers, whether for a date night or casual family dinner. I’ll definitely be back, though I’d love to see a bit more spice in their indian dishes.

£3.95 for all beers. Open kitchen which is great to watch. The food, prices and portions are spot on, it's my go to place for an Indian. The Desi pub is the future of Currys. Sky and TNT sports as well.

I recently visited Tapri on a Saturday night, and while the ambiance and food were decent, I was disturbed by the noticeable presence of underage drinking. Groups of young patrons were openly consuming alcohol without any apparent checks by the staff. It’s concerning that such behavior is being overlooked, especially in a family-friendly establishment. This not only puts the restaurant’s reputation at risk but also raises serious legal and safety issues. Until stricter age verification is enforced, I cannot recommend this place for a responsible dining experience.

I had an excellent experience at Tapri Restaurant and Grill during the boxing match on Saturday! Despite the busy atmosphere, the bar service was impressively fast. The bartender, Astha, was friendly and efficient, making sure we never waited long for our drinks. The vibe was perfect for sports fans, and I’ll definitely be back for more match days!

We as a group of 6 chose meat and vegi dishes. My stag was watered down spinach and there wasn't any taste. They did bring me something else of my choice. I don't know what they are cooking in but the smell of the vegetable briyani wasn't acceptable to my palate. Unfortunately 3 of our group were ill after the meat dishes they ate. Also I have been to Ask the restaurant quire a few times. Tapri has the building now but hasn't updated the seating area. Which is heavily sunken in. Your poppadoms were not fresh.

Dined many times at Tapri, food has always been great. Usually a good spot to watch sports. The bad news is that with the cheaper drinks it seems to have attracted a very young crowd, some which are obviously below legal age to drink alcohol. The doors might as well be revolving they are opened that often. They even bring their own bottled spirits in! If it continues like this then the place needs management presence.

I ordered in via Deliveroo while I was staying at The Premier Inn North Birmingham (Sutton Coldfield). Service was rapid and the food….firstly, I could not decide from the menu; everything looked delish! When I finally decided, I ordered more than I needed. Man! I just about chewed my fingers off. I loved how rich the food was. I think I got lamb and paneer spinach with naan, but it doesn’t even matter. Just check out the photos. Now I’m hungry (just for this food).

It's a bar that serves Indian food which tastes good, smaller portions than a restaurant, but tasty. If you want to watch sport it's the place to go, lots of screens. Some seats can be noisy.

We ordered a Grill platter, Desi Lamb curry, butter nan and some drinks. Little disappointed with the mint chutney :). Ambience was really good and food was good. Not overpriced for the quality and quantity.

Great location. Food was just ok. I think their main focus is on drinking. Was very loud during game and a lit of rowdy foorball fans. Waiting for drinks at the bar was exceptionally long. Either not enough staff serving or not fast enough serving.

Fantastic food, great staff and a nice atmosphere. That’s a 10/10 in my books. I’m here for a work trip and thought I’d try out the local cuisine. I’ve previously eaten in every Indian restaurant in Portsmouth so my review comes with some credibility. I have to say this was better that every single one in Portsmouth and it wasn’t even close. Tapri Sutton is amazingly improved their hospitality. Lax and Rana combo doing really great, pub is so clean and really enjoyed villa vs Liverpool match , great ambiance.
