This restaurant takes the word 'authentic' to quite a new level! I'm sure we've all eaten in restaurants which say they provide an "authentic taste of......" but Manju's not only offers authentic regional indian cooking but also has the courage to take you away from the familiar english version of indian cookery to the kind of flavours and dishes you might actually expect in Gujarat, all freshly prepaired by someone who clearly knows what they're doing. If you want chicken tikka masarla then this is not the place for you. An experience not to be missed.

Whilst wanting to keep this superb service top secret, I also want them to succeed. You book via WhatsApp a time slot and they send you a menu to select from. Monthly specials are worth it. This is delivery only, placed lovingly in tiffin tins, which are collected the next morning. Slots go quickly, so get in there; you won’t regret it.

Ordered for delivery worth £27 on a day when the takeaway was open. After 2 hours and no food, called the restaurant (31 times in total). They claimed it had been delivered initially, which it hadn't. Then said the driver had delivered it "somewhere else". No delivery was made and they are now refusing the chargeback because "this is a take away" apparently is an excuse that TSB accept.

I came here while visiting my friends in Brighton and while ambivalent about having a curry, I was definitely blown away by The Chilli Pickle. It was a pleasant, vibrant restaurant and the staff were all incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home even though we turned up 10/15 minutes late. As a man who has devoured many curries home-made and restaurant style, the menu was a breath of fresh air. I had a mango lassi cocktail which was unreal and then had the lamb and pilau rice for mains. The presentation was 10/10 plus the food itself was so god damn good. Hats off to everyone at The Chill Pickle and hope to come back some day.

Not the speediest delivery, but it was well worth the wait. Excellent food.
