The best restaurants serving Indian food in Holborn and Covent Garden Camden London

Lovely restaurant with one of the best Indian meals that I have ever had. Service was impeccable. Loved the art and the overall attention for detail.

Excellente adresse pour découvrir la cuisine indienne. Nous nous sommes régalés tant lors de l’entrée, du plat et du dessert. Un vrai sans faute. Les saveurs étaient travaillés, une belle nuance de sucré / salé avec un bon équilibre au niveau des épices. Pour l’entrée, nous avons goûté le samousa & le puri : excellent ! Nous avons ensuite découvert l’agneau, bœuf et le palaak en plats qui étaient très bien travaillés. Mention spéciale pour le pain servi avec le bœuf - seul point d’amélioration : le naan truffe pourrait être plus riche en fromage et en truffe, tandis que le pain zaatar légèrement plus prononcé sur les épices. Enfin nous avons dégustés le lassi coco pistache en dessert, qui était un vrai délice. Rien à redire sur le service, nous avons été très bien accueilli, le lieu est aussi très charmant. The food was amazing and the portions quite big. There are plenty of options to choose from. The options were without exeptions vegetarian. The food arrived quickly and the staff was friendly.

Went for the first time this Sunday. Had a lamb dish and it was nice with good amount of meat. Some restaurants only give you half of what they have so hopefully they will not change the amount in future. Also the atmosphere is nice and cosy in there.

Great food/drinks and a great atmosphere. I come here almost weekly, because the chai is excellent. There are images of different areas in which I presume are in India, dotted across the walls. From time to time, it may be a bit noisy, but usually, the atmosphere is calm. It is a great place to unwind and to explore some Indian dishes. Usually I come here on Sundays, just to relax, as it is quieter and calmer. Its close proximity to nearby Tottenham Court Road is also very helpful to do shopping. There are also underground stations/bus stops within close proximity to Chaiiwala Holborn.

I live in Italy and my boyfriend in Germany so we really miss Indian food. This place was amazing! Small, cozy and excellent service! They were so polite and attentive. The food was so spicy which we love and they did warn us, which is nice for people who can’t handle it. I would definitely recommend this place if I’m the area!

Comí aquí el jueves 8 de noviembre por la noche. La comida era verdaderamente horrible. No sé qué había en el dhansak de pollo, pero sabía y olía realmente extraño y me hizo sentir mal al olerlo. El aloo gobi se veía y sabía que tenía una semana de antigüedad. Peor que todo eso, el camarero estaba paralíticamente borracho. Eructa sobre mi comida y constantemente choca contra cosas. No me quejé de la comida porque no estaba seguro de cómo reaccionaría. Tuve unos bocados y me fui.

Servicio horrible y comida por debajo de la media. Estuve allí en 1995 - 6 - 7 regularmente cuando tenían un menú de pre teatro. La comida era excelente, al igual que el servicio. Las visitas recientes nos decepcionan por completo. Camareros muy tristes y gruñones y la comida está mucho peor. El propietario debe tomar la iniciativa para arreglar las cosas y capacitar al personal. De lo contrario, este gran restaurante pronto será olvidado.
