The best restaurants serving Indian food in London

Lovely vibe and cool decor. One staff member gave us a friendly welcome. The food was also very nice x However, the service was chronically slow. We arrived at 10:35 on a Sunday morning for breakfast. It wasn’t empty, but certainly not busy - maybe around ten other people who all seem to have ordered. Despite the fact it wasn’t that busy, the three of us all received our food at significant time intervals. One of the staff who was bringing out the food, didn’t seem to know or care who the food she was carrying was for. We waited over 30 minutes from ordering before we received our food. It’s such a shame, as everything is here to make this a great place to revisit, but I won’t and I visit the area regularly for football matches.

Justo en el lado opuesto a la antigua estación de Whitechapel. Cheap come. Nada especial, solo una tienda de pollo y papas fritas.

The food was amazing and the portions quite big. There are plenty of options to choose from. The options were without exeptions vegetarian. The food arrived quickly and the staff was friendly.

I was a regular at The Day of the Raj for Over 25 Years and I'm sad to see it gone. It has been replaced with another Restaurant now but that does not serve Indian food.

Guess it was a victim of the pandemic,but in any case Cafe Le Raj is permanently closed. Plenty more Injuns in Upminster but this was definitely one of ,if not the, favourite.

Great Sri Lankan little buffet. I highly recommend it if you like spicy food. The wait is a bit longer than because most of the time it's a one man operation, but it is well worth the wait and you always know that the quality is consistently good.

After going to the same restaurant in Kingsbury probably twice a week for the last ten years the waiter I thought was rude so I have decided to take my custom elsewhere. We have been to the Arena Club many times and generally when we go it’s very quiet usually not long after 6pm. It’s tucked away down a flight of stairs next to the train station so you really have to know where it is. It’s been here years with the same very nice owner. The staff are always nice and my aloo and dhall curries vegan are always very good. It has a lot of TVs and shows sports and I think it does get busy. Not too expensive and a nice curry.

We really enjoy the experience of eating our, both service and the food. Both were excellent here. It was a Saturday night and we were not rushed. We have struggled to find many Indian restaurants locally where spicing is good, but this one hits the spot. Food is outstanding, well cooked and there was nothing to fault. A bonus is it is bring your own alcohol meaning we could enjoy some lovely wine with our dinner. Will we return - absolutely. This is one of two stand out Indian restaurants locally for us. Been eating at Sundarban over the years. Never fails to produce good food and lovely friendly and efficient staff. Thought we'd try their Elvis night. We arrived early as didn't want to eat late and it worked well. As for Elvis.... Don't expect anything but a good laugh and songs you know.
