Biryani House in Tower Hamlets

We asked a passer by in the street for good Indian food and were recommended this place. Very friendly staff. They took their time to explain the dishes for us. Place is very spartan, but clean. Food is good. Most bang for the buck during our stay in London. Most do take away from here, but they have a couple of tables at the back.

I have been going to this place for years and the food is inconsistent; sometimes excellent, sometimes mediocre. Counter staff inattentive and bored by old regulars. ( how many times can I ask for raita with mint sauce?, included) No concessions to us whiteys... Biryani with lamb on the bone and spinach curry recommended, even if heavy on potatoes. Both roti and naan have to be ordered first in order to arrive with your meal. The food us prepared at midday and topped up from the kitchen as needed. Best time to visit is between 1-2.30PM, during the prayer in the nearby mosque. I will go back after Covid-19 blows over.

The surroundings and restaurant is plain and basic but i have found some of the best places can be found in the most out of the way places.  Nice friendly staff where you get to hear about how and where they grew up and happy to talk openly from the heart. The Chicken Tikka Biryani was infused with a special blend of spices and different to just plain or pilau rice as full of flavour and different to anything I have had which is a good thing when it comes to food. Also comes with an egg and a large portion, I had not eaten the whole day and this filled me up.  Comes with a Vegetable Curry which was savoury and complimented the dish and good size curry provided.  Really enjoyed the dish and you can tell this is home made with a large menu and better than a fast food take away so worth every penny. One last thing if you ask for spicy you will get some hot chillies so it will be spicy...you have been warned.

This place specialise in grill dishes and authentic Bangladeshi dishes. Their lamb biryani is simply delicious. Bangladeshi dish such as Lotta with Jack fruit seed and prawns is delicious. Very clean premise. Staffs excellent

The food at biryani house is always fresh and yummy. Maintain good hygiene and very good customer service .

This place isn’t much to look at but couldn’t fault the superb biriyani I had this afternoon. Heaped on the plate and lovely a moist. They do a range of other Indian meals as well. Very clean and nice staff. Will definitely be coming again.

Been using for the last 12 years, its always clean and fresh if you enjoy quick biryani or good home cooked Bengali food, the price is also reasonable. We always go on friday afternoon where some speacials are usually served like Mackeral chutney and good chicken roast pilau as well, their carp fish( Bangladeshi boal is always good). Keep it up Biryani House.

It's an ordinary cafe style restaurant don't be surprised by the looks food can be tasty sometimes I had some nice meals & sometimes something's missing as flavours will visit Again!

Another 1 of my regular place of eatery. Most of my lunchtime gets spent here, cant fault the food its as i would have it at home so well within my comfort. Also when you see bossman eat his own food with a big belly shows how good the food really it. Extremely clean place, keep up the good work.

I recently called in here & was really impressed with the quality of the food and the reasonable prices. The man who served us was really friendly and attentive. We thought this was because the restaurant was quite quiet, but he still helped us when it got a bit busier and he was taking take away orders. Our food was really nice & we were even offered the leftovers to takeaway when we ordered too much. Will definitely call in again or order a take away when I'm next in the area.

Whenever I'm in the area and feeling hungry I always pop in here for a curry and biryani, really fast service and great prices for a great tasting meal. Wpuld definitely recommend if you're ever in the area.

Made fresh, and prompt. Very good personal service. Decent filling portion of biryani. Will be back...maybe today for lunch..

Tried this little restaurant close to Genesis Cinema. We tried some vegetarian dishes and some chicken dishes. Overall was ok, ordinary I would say. Prices are quite low, so it could be a good solution if you are around.

Took some friends there for late evening meal tried the next door Dhaka biryani before thought to give this one a try service was polite & biryani was fine again nothing special just a ordinary restaurant overall all was ok!

Había carne y pollo Biryani llevar desde aquí recientemente. El Biryani son de muy buen nivel. Las raciones son grandes. Sin duda lo recomiendo!!
