The best restaurants serving Greek food in England

We are there on Monday night. I ordered a kleftiko and my partner ordered a lamb kebab. Neither dish was cooked to order. They arrived less than 10 minutes after ordering and both had clearly been pre-cooked and heated in a microwave as the temperature was uneven in them. The lamb kebab was really tough from being cooked twice. We should have sent them both back but persevered but extremely unhappy with this. Would strongly recommend avoiding.

Went to Jaffa tonight, our favorite Restaurant in Preston. Meal Lamb cops was excellent as it always is. After tried Their new deserts venue across the street serving Arabic style sweets and drinks. Very different and very very good,a fantastic change. Tried Arabic style ice-cream Absolutely brilliant. Well Done Jaffa we wish you all every success, you deserve it. best wishes Vass & Chris Kelly

Shame I can't give zero stars. Restaurant took the booking, send an email the night before to confirm. We turned up place was well and truly closed and must have been for sometime.

Finally got around to going for a meal with my son and a friend. Wow! Wish id come here sooner. Lovely atmosphere (im noise sensitive and it was perfect, not echoey, not too loud, music playing not annoying, can hear everyone on table perfectly no shouting). The food was out of this world. Between the three of us we had calamari, olives and pork loin starters (perfect sizes), mains of lamb shoulder in apricots and almonds (not too nutty just perfect), and a calamari main. Calamari is really difficult to do right but this place has nailed it. Not rubbery or undercooked at all. Had coffee and a sour cherry and greek yoghurt dessert…. Heaven! Restaurant is spotlessly clean, chair cushions proper fabric not plastic ( i hate plastic ones where you stick to the seat ), restaurant was a comfortable temperature for us, no need to wear a thick jumper for dinner like in some places. Just a perfect meal in a perfect restaurant. Cannot sing praises enough. Staff friendly and checked back on us. Everything timely and not rushed. 5 stars!

A Greek restaurant with a decent priced set menu. Plenty of food, you won't leave hungry.

Visited in October to celebrate a birthday. Were greeted on arrival in a friendly way by a waitress who did not have to look up our reservation. The menu is varied and while this is nominally a Greek restaurant, There are a lot of English dishes available. I require a gluten free diet, and the waitress was able to discuss options, make recommendations and suggest alterations without referring to any reference guide. When the food came, the portions were large and of exceptional quality. Served promptly and with a smile. Prices much lower than I would expect for food this good. Overall a place to go if you enjoy great food and excellent service at a very reasonable price. Will definitely be visiting again.
