We loved the food, and the service was great too. They treated us to some cherries for dessert. to repeat, highly recommended

this spot never disapoints. highley recomend it the authentic greek dishes was amazing come here about 1 a month and it always up to are standerds

A really really awesome restaurant. Beautiful food in the right quantities, served promptly and paired with full bodied wine. All the dishes, souvlake, stifola and steak were cooked to perfection. The staff were receptive, knowledgeable and welcoming. Will return when we are in this neck of the woods.

I feel bad writing bad reviews and I don't like criticise business owners who trying to earn a living.. but.. probably the worse food I've ever had in a Greek restaurant and the most expensive.. the drinks were from a plastic 2 litre bottle and not brand name I could tell from the taste.. anyway.. decor is bad enough.. the man serving us looked untidy take these reviews as experience and advice not offense.. your customers are your bread n butter good luck

We ate there last night the owner was friendly seemed very nice. Was'nt very busy which was fine as it was a match day, maybe. Menu was very limited so we chose accordingly. Drinks came, already poured in a glass which straight away i found very strange and very flat which made me realise that it must be out of a large bottle, normally you go to a restaurant soft drinks come in a can unopened with a glass or in a small glass bottle. That was a definate no no for me. The starters were nice, then the main meal came, not really sure what i thought tbh, wasn't great. What i found even more strange apart from what iv already mentioned was how pricey it all was and that the owner was eavesdropping on our conversations and had the cheek to say he was and told us so. Very creepy !!

Authentic greek cuisine. Ate here for lunch once we arrived in Rhodes, the quality and quantity of food was really good , the staff were very welcoming and the whole experience was really good from start to finish.

Unbelievably quiet, only customers 4 of us. I had moussaka which was tasty but missing the potato and aubergine layer.

We enjoy the occasional Greek dinner so decided to give Stefanos a try. The menu is authentic and interesting, the food was absolutely lovely and the service friendly and attentive. We can ask for nothing more so will definitely be going back for another taste.

The staff were pleasant and friendly but sadly they’re not really accommodating to vegan diets - this restaurant is listed on trip advisor for the top vegan restaurants in Poole and even had a review stating they had plenty of vegan options, but the waiter was unable to offer any vegan mains and only offered a couple of starters - sorry but I don’t want olives, vine leaves and some hummus and bread as a whole meal! It might be fine for some but I don’t think it’s very fair to be advertising as vegan friendly when the waiter didn’t know what vegan meant and there aren’t any mains.

Greek food at its finest. We just got back from Rhodes a couple of weeks ago and was great to ‘go back’. Service was first rate, and I will be recommending to all our friends and family! Thank you for a great evening.

A brilliant and authentic Greek restaurant with excellent food and service.

We took our visiting ‘foodie’ friends for dinner. The food was universally excellent. We started with a meze followed by the sea base, moussakas and soutzoukakia (the tomato sauce was lovely) all washed down with a litre of the house red wine. All the dishes taste and are presented authentically with lots of flavour- unlike some of the ‘real’ Greek restaurants one can visit. This small local restaurant really does warrant a visit by locals and visitors to the area.

Very much a family run restaurant which is part of its charm. Not a chain but a family doing kitchen and front of house. We really enjoyed it, lovely food (e.g. mezzo starter) and will definitely be back.

Was really looking forward to dining here, however wish we had not bothered to make the effort. Waiter service non existent because he was doubling as the chef. Took a while to get a drink order, no ambience at restaurant, no water offered.. Ordered calamari as a starter, no bread or dip was offered, mains took another 30 mins+ and was awful, not worth the money (nothing like pics on website!!) have they not heard of veg, rice was like boil in the bag. No-one came and asked us if we needed more drinks etc. A lady came into the restaurant and politely asked if she could have a table for one, she was told "No", even though there were empty tables. She was so surprised, how rude were they to her, felt really sorry for her embarrassment,no need for rudeness. Thought food portions were small. We have been to many Greek Restaurants and this was well below the normal standard. We did not stop for sweet or coffee, could not wait to leave.

What a wonderful experience. Beautiful home cooking style Greek food in lovely surroundings which a very nice host. We eat here last Saturday as we all fancied Greek food and we were not disappointed at all. We will be back soon.

We enjoyed a romantic evening in this cosy, family-run restaurant. The kleftiko and the sea bass were both exquisitely cooked and a delicious sharing platter of meze to start was perfectly judged with a huge variety. All the staff were friendly, attentive and service was excellent. We have travelled quite a lot in Greece and adore Greek cuisine, so it was good to see some regional specialities as well as old favourites on the menu. A fantastic ambience and plenty of art to enjoy on the walls creates a super atmosphere. We can't wait to return to Stefanos and sample more of their delicious and authentically prepared food. Thoroughly recommended!

Fantastic food and service, best Greek food we have had since being in Greece before lockdown!! We had the sharing meze, all homemade and beautiful. The kleftico melted in your mouth and the souvlaki was succulent and tasty .

We had a most enjoyable evening, friendly and welcoming hosts, but the star of the show is the food. Authentic home cooking served piping hot and tasted incredible. Our first visit but we will definitely be back.

Typical Greece Tavern - FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS We had one of the best lamb chop we ever had. We ordered the meat twice, because was so good. There is a huge wood-fire grill where the meat and vegetables is cooked on the spot, and you can taste the difference. Highly recommend, we were impressed.

A wonderful meal and a great dining experience. Weve been to Stefanos several times before and have never come away dissapointed. The food was fantastic and the ambiance is welcoming and friendly with an attentive staff. We had a shared Mezze starter which was generous and tasty. Great to dig in and share as a family. For mains we had the Kleftiko which was so tender and moreish. The lamb was beautifully cooked. The Paidakia which was beautifully seasoned and the Moussaka which was one of the best we have ever tasted. For dessert we shared a baklava and a kataifi which were beautifuly made, sticky sweet and a great way to finish off a beautiful meal. Cannot reccomend this restaurant highly enough. We will be back soon.

I went with friends last Friday, we had a lovely meal, service was friendly and we weren’t rushed. We would normally be in Kos but due to COVID-19 we stayed on the UK, so the food bought back lots of happy memories.

After reading the reviews I was a Little disappointed the service was good but the food just lacked something it didn’t taste authentic Greek food my stifado was ok but more like a simple beef stew without that Greek flavour...

Stefanos opened Sat Aug 1st. It was wonderful to go back and such a relief to find the are surviving the current crisis. As always we enjoyed a pleasant evening in relaxed atmosphere, with some of our favourite greek food.

The staff are very attentive and accommodating to special dietary requirements. The restaurant has an authentic traditional Greek family feeling and the food is delicious..it was like being on holiday. We will definitely go back and highly recommend Stafanos.

Fantastic quality food, really enjoyable. Restaurant got very hot and smokey from the kitchen towards the end of the evening meant we left in a rush rather than having one for the road. Certainly will be back though

Our favorite place to eat when visiting Bournemouth or Poole. A beautiful little family run restaurant, they are always so lovely, the food is absolutely delicious and we love the decor, which takes us right back to our honeymoon in santorini.... We cannot recommend Stefanos enough!

Went last Friday night with my wife after reading the reviews on here. Surprised to see it nearly empty. The food was amazing, just as we remembered food from holidays. Lamb kleftiko was brilliant. I can't believe it wasn't busier.

Parkstones hidden gem. Hit and miss midweek if they will be open so worth giving a call to book. Saturday's can be busy. Nice touches with free appetizers. Nice selection of starters. Pitta breads are perfect served warm. Mains are tasty, especially the liver!! Recommended.

Lovely little restaurant, you always need to book, food delicious and freshly cooked.

Not busy at all on Friday night but treated like they were packed full. Got charged extra because there was more than six of us, asked to pre order but there was only one other table in the restaurant occupied that night. Everything our group ate you could have cooked better at home. Considering they have been there for ever you think they may have got some proper glasses in for red wine but no, got mine in short stubby cheap glass.Staff were unusual and food not worth the money I am afraid. Old furnishing not classy, toilet interesting.We did have a laugh though!

Very enjoyable meal, excellent service and all the dishes we choose were delicious and a real taste of Greece. Very reasonably priced too. We are looking forward to visiting again soon.

This restaurant was recommended to us and the food was as good as we had when we were on holiday in Kos, the owner was very welcoming and his wife is an amazing cook. The sharing meze for 2 was really generous and I wish we had it as a main, then I would have had room for the home made baklava, there is always next time.

Found this Taverna whilst looking up a chain restaurant on line.. So glad we did as the Taverna was so good . Best Greek food we have tasted in Greece or UK .. Excellent service and such a nice friendly owner.. We cant wait to take our friends there .

We visited Bournemouth for our anniversary and we found this place online and we decided we have our dinner there. Martinos, our waiter, was super attending and he offered us a couple of dishes on the house as well as a complimenyary drink for our celebration. Food was great to the Greek standards amd the decoration and atmosphere was amazing. It felt like being in Greece.

Having had a pleasant walk along the beach in hot sunshine we decided to relive our last Greek holiday and dropped into Stefanos, we hadn't booked but we were very early so a table was offered and we had a very good meal. Our host advised us on a choice of meze dishes which included our old favourites and a couple of new ideas! Perfect! Everything was freshly cooked and the service quick and efficient. Our waiter, Stefano's son was lovely! So friendly and very knowledgeable about all the dishes on the menu. Mythos beer and a good house wine too!

First visit to this restaurant we will definitely go again. The food was really lovely I especially liked the kleftico and my husband loved the Ekmek a delicious Greek dessert. The prices are very good as well. If your in the area why not try it out? You won’t regret it

Visited this lovely little restaurant and the meals were fantastic! I had the mussels in white wine and my husband had the stifado but meals were excellent. We also had the meze starter for 2 which was enough so you didn't spoil your main meal. Superb service and very friendly, would recommend to anyone visiting this area.

Wow, what a find. And on my door step. Food was amazing. Loved the traditional decor and music. The calamari....the prawns... Butter beans... Meze board . Fantastic. House wine by the carafe. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. 10/10. Will definately be coming back.

We had a delicious meal at Stefanos -best Greek food we've had in the UK for a long time. They also did a really nice kids menu with small portions of Souvlaki and a few other things which was really helpful - we hadn't seen this on their website which had nearly put us off going as we were concerned they may not be that child friendly. They had a couple of interesting regional Greek dishes as specialties which we tried and really liked. The only downside was that it was a little on the quiet side but then we did go early on a Wednesday night so I guess this is to be expected. Highly recommended!

Recommended by friends and it lived up to their praises. Lovely friendly atmosphere and the 6 dishes we had were all delicious and good value. We will be coming back.

Wow dined here on Saturday evening, our first time. This restaurant really offers an authentic Greek experience. Beautiful atmosphere, lighting, warm and welcoming. Delicious home cooked food that really reminds you of he wonderful cuisine of Greece. Friendly efficient service, but discreet enough to not be intrusive. If only every restaurant was this good! We will certainly return.

Absolutely loved our meal here! High quality food, exsquisite service (not overbearing or distant but perfectly in between) and a warm and friendly welcome! Highly recommend this place, not sure you’ll find a more authentic Greek restaurant anywhere else.

For a Friday evening meal we decided to try Stefanos - so pleased we did. All the food was freshly cooked with wonderful flavours. For starters the four of us had halloumi, Calamari, Gigandes and spicy sausages - all were delicious, and very generous. For mains - souvlaki, stifado and all very tasty meatball dish with a spicy sauce. We tried 2 red wines and both were most acceptable and reasonably priced. Service was very helpful and friendly. Altogether a lovely evening out with friends. We'd definitely in again!

I went here last night with my family, and we had the most delicious meal! It was a lovely atmosphere, authentic and lovely staff. The food was all home cooked, some of the best Greek food I've ever tasted! To start we had hummus and tzatziki with pitta bread and for main I had a moussaka - perfect! This was our first visit to Stefanos. From the outset they were a pleasure to deal with. Reservation was very easy and they were very accommodating when we needed to change our numbers at the last minute. We started with the mixed meze and the cheese anthem party - delicious! I chose the kleftiko for my main course and it was excellent, very tender and flavourful. My husband chose the spicy Soutzoukakia which was also excellent. The kids chose chicken souvlaki , which obviously I had to try..... yum! The staff were chambering and couldn't do enough to make our evening enjoyable. We will most definitely be back. Thank you!

Relaxing friendly atmosphere, lovely owners very welcoming.Food, well I am a fussy eater and I have not been disappointed, i have tried several different meals and have loved every one, usually when we eat out I am lucky to find one I like so it's very unusual for me to have so much choice in one restaurant.

We have passed this restaurant many times and never eaten there, but on Saturday we did...why have we waited so long? We will now be regulars. The food, and the cosy restaurant made for a very happy evening.

It's a while since we went, and I meant to review, but life! I had to arrange a work meal out and I desperately wanted an authentic Greek taste, the owner was very friendly and went out his way a lot to help us with pre-orders and bookings, we had a large party and him and his wife catered for us so well. I loved the house wine "Kretikos" some Cretan red, if it's still there I recommend it so much. I feel that the service was really fair value, and he was great with conversation.

Recommend to book in this restaurant as small capacity and especially if Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The menu has very limited options for Vegans and they are not very accommodating in their menu so watch. Family run and limited experience on customer care. The star that run the place , one staff does not know to the other what was ordered served and billed! Quality of food was fair and found it pricy for comparing it with other resturants in the Area. There is limited parking.

From the minute my partner and I arrived at Stefanos, we were greeted by the very hospitable owner which similar to me was born in Athens and now resides in the UK. After having this conversation, I was excited to try the home cooking and was not disappointed. The food was delicious, portions were generous and served with care and attention. This restaurant is one of a kind and an experience I would like to share with others. We will be back to enjoy more of the fantastic Greek cuisine at Stefanos. Went to eat here after reading reviews on Trip advisor. Rang them beforehand and queried whether they cater for "Lactose Intolerant" and was told yes. Was rather dissappointed when i went and found out there there was very little choice for a Lactose intol. Infact there was just one dish and even that had feta cheese. Paid £15 including drink and got rabbitts food that would be only worth £9 on plate. However service was good and the taste of food was fair. Not sure whether i would go again to eat as very few choices for lactose intol, vegan and veg foods.

We live a close to this place and known it for years. Our son had his 18th there 12 years ago but we realised we had neglected it of late. Had a good local reputation but had heard it was being found out on social media. I can confirm it is still excellent in all ways - menu range, food quality, service and price. As others say you need to look beyond its immediate location but you won’t be disappointed. We won’t stay away too long again - highly recommend
