Yet again another great meal from all at The Greedy Greek. Hot, well prepared, expertly cooked and beautifully presented meals that always please and make our special take out delivery night such a treat. In addition I ‘messed up’ the delivery on the app but the staff were great and patiently sorted it out. All good. So amazing food and v patient amazing staff too… btw loved the Strofilia dip. Thank you

We called in on a wet Sunday night after an early showing of a film at Cottage Road. The restaurant was very quiet with just a couple of tables occupied, one with a large group. There appeared to be only one waitress, but service was excellent - she was friendly, efficient and thorough and moved very fast - literally running up the stairs to the kitchen - and nothing was too much trouble. The food was very good - we had meatballs and spicy kofte for starters. Both were tasty and came with a basket of pitta bread. For main courses we had beef stifado. This comes with rice and we also ordered a portion of spinach and onion as a side. The stifado was delicious - you could taste the spices used in the sauce which was rich and full of flavour. All the food came piping hot and portions were generous. A couple of complimentary squares of baklava finished the meal off perfectly. This is a great little local restaurant with lovely food and fantastic service and we will definitely go again.

Not as good as it used to be. No dogs allowed in lounge area because apparently it causes more work for cleaners. I know humans who go in there who are far dirtier than any dog I've met. For a pub that's struggling and on limited opening hours why push customers away to more friendly pubs?

The Olive in Barnby Dun: A Hidden Gem with Great Potential I recently visited The Olive in Barnby Dun, and despite some recent challenges, I believe this pub has a lot to offer. We visited on a Monday night and had the place to ourselves, which made for a quiet evening. However, this pub has real potential to become a bustling local favourite. The food at The Olive is decent, but with a few tweaks, it could be fantastic. The pizza could benefit from a Neapolitan approach, and introducing smashed burgers with the option to double up could be a big hit with guests. One of the highlights of our visit was the excellent service. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which was a refreshing change and a sign of better times ahead. The outside area could use some attention, but with a bit of effort, it could become a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Overall, The Olive has the potential to shine as a great local pub. With some improvements to the menu and the outdoor space, it could easily become a favourite spot for locals and visitors alike.

Travelling from Nottingham, Bournemouth, Scotland and New Castle. We were looking forward to celebrating in the Greek restaurant. I booked the table for 6 several weeks ago, my reservation was confirmed! However, we arrived on Saturday 26 March in the evening, and the restaurant was closed !! I have had no email or phone call. Extremely disappointing!!
