The Great Greek Taverna in York

Travelling from Nottingham, Bournemouth, Scotland and New Castle. We were looking forward to celebrating in the Greek restaurant. I booked the table for 6 several weeks ago, my reservation was confirmed! However, we arrived on Saturday 26 March in the evening, and the restaurant was closed !! I have had no email or phone call. Extremely disappointing!!

We came in today for an early tea and we were met by friendly staff. The atmosphere is great with the wood burning stove and the choice of dishes was perfect. We came in as a family of 4 with 2 kids under 10. The food was tasty, well presented and generously portioned. We definitely recommend. We'll be back 😋

Delicious authentic Greek food,friendly staff .Most dishes are cooked in wood fired oven and it smells so nice you feel like you're in Greece. Definitely recommended
