Booked for this Friday 25/10/19 told they are now closed. Always felt they were playing at it trying to run Harrogate as well . Can someone please open a restaurant in Ripon that is not Italian!

Visited on a Friday evening with 3 adults and 2 children, we all ordered different things and all of the food was really tasty and good portion sizes. The chicken wings went down a treat with the children. Lovely bottle of red wine too and not overpriced.

We have been here several times and it's never disappointed up until now, service I don't know where to start, lacks massively, new staff that quite clearly need some training, the food however is absolutely lovely, I really hope this was a one off as you have a beautiful restaurant, a suggestion may I offer is get some greek people in that's what makes it, we've been before and the owner was there he makes that place, just a shame about the current staff, the manageress has poor people skills !!

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Chose several dips with pitta bread for starters which we really enjoyed. Would advise booking especially for a Saturday evening as the restaurant soon filled up.

We visited on a wet Tuesday evening after a film at the excellent Curzon Cinéma. The venue is ideally placed close by and the lighting, atmosphere and ambience are warm and inviting. The menu is moderately priced, varied and different[A Greek theme.] My lamb kebabs were succulent, tasty and cooked to perfection-my wife’s meal was also good. This is backed up a well chosen, keenly priced wine list and friendly attentive service from the manageress. This is an excellent addition to the Ripon dining scène,owned by a convivial, charasamatic Greek.Sadly we were the only diners!?...Come on Riponians!.. We need to support our local struggling traders if we want to build the local economy and make the city prosper.

We ate a collection of Tapas style foods. The presentation was very poor indeed with unimaginative table wear and basic culinary aplomb. Some of the foods were delightfully flavoursome such as the goats cheese wrapped in filo, sesame seeds and honey but it didn’t make up for some dried out chicken wings that were poorly spiced and meatballs in a tomato purée. The service was attentive, the G&T’s perfectly fine but again lacking finesse and the final bill of Tapas for two close to £70 seemed weirdly expensive for very little.

Handy for a cuppa after work or during a shop. The cafe is situated in the simply food store and it’s clients are generally local. Good service and bright and airy cafe. Huge windows mean it gets very hot in sunny weather. No outside seating.

Chanced upon this food cart at the A1 northbound service centre in Wetherby. Had the traditional cornish pasty - it was served hot and was delicious! Except for the hand-crimped part of the pastry which was too doughy, the pastry and filling tasted great together.

Unfortunately the Railway Inn is still closed with apparently no date for reopening. The Railway Inn is owned by Samuel Smith's brewery and no further information is available.

Oh. My. GOD. Let me tell you about my night at this pub in Knaresborough because, honey, it was an absolute disaster – and not the fun, reality-TV kind. No, this was the kind of drama that would make a telenovela look like a casual tea party. I sauntered in, thinking I was about to have the night of my life – and with this face, why wouldn’t I? The place was cute enough, I’ll give it that, and I thought, “This might actually be fabulous.” But oh no, darling, the universe had other plans. First off, the online ordering system was down. DOWN. In 2024! I mean, I might as well have been trying to send a telegram! The whole point of going to a pub these days is to sip a cocktail while casually tapping away on your phone, right? But noooo. Instead, I had to walk to the bar like some peasant from the 1800s. The nerve! The bar? PACKED. I could feel the wrinkles forming as I waited, endlessly, for someone to notice me. And when they finally did? They had the audacity to act like it was my fault that their ancient system had crumbled. I swear, I was two seconds away from giving them a live performance of “And I Am Telling You” right there. But wait, there’s a twist: the toilets. GORGEOUS. I mean, I walked in and thought I’d been transported to a high-end spa. Marble, mirrors, the lighting was divine—honestly, it was like a little slice of heaven in the middle of this disaster zone. I spent more time in the bathroom admiring the décor than I did actually eating or drinking. Priorities, darling. So, here’s the tea: if you’re after a stunning restroom experience, by all means, swing by. But if you’re hoping for decent service or a smooth ordering process, save yourself the heartbreak. I left hungry, frustrated, but at least with a fabulous selfie from the loo. 1.5 stars – And that’s only because the toilets SLAYED.
