The best restaurants serving Greek food in South West

I visited York after a long time with my family and I came across a nice stand on a little street with a label saying LOUKOUMADES. I didn’t have second thoughts, I went straight away to buy. I’ve got two portions of loukoumades, one with honey, walnuts, cinnamon and a scoop of Vanilla ice cream and the second one with Nutella and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.. I shared them with my family and they were delighted!! They were so fresh and flavoured!! Also, the Greek girls that prepared and served me those delicious loukoumades were really friendly and smiley. I would definitely buy again from them. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to taste a little bit of Greece.

The size of the rooms precludes the employment of staff and limits the number of covers they can offer. The result is an intimate meal of many small plates. Delicious but crowded!

Lovely, good quality, well cooked, tasty food. Excellent service and value for money. Generous portions as well. Highly recommended!

As a family of 4 we had lunch on (Good) Friday and found the experience fantastic. The service was excellent and we felt very welcomed by the owner, friendly staff. The food was incredible, very generous portions but so tasty and piping hot. Would recommend without question - our best meal on our holiday to Devon !

Very good, we had a chicken gyros and the mixed meat chips, great portion sizes and great tasting for a reasonable price, service was quick too

Clean, friendly staff and tasty food. Good portion sizes and very much enjoyed the Mediterranean breakfast. Staff happy to swap items or add extras - nothing seemed to be any problem for them. Well worth supporting this cafe if you like greek food.

Nice change from Italian or British pub food. Nice selection of traditional Greek dishes. What we had was tasty. Nice cosy atmosphere

My favourite restaurant especially with friends. Went on Saturday for a birthday meal, amazing food as always, I had scallops to start & black cod for my main course. Absolutely divine. Need to go back again soon

Hice una reserva el lunes para una mesa para dos el viernes por la noche. Llegué bajo la lluvia y fumé un cigarrillo afuera antes de entrar. Dos parejas entraron y se sentaron en mesas para cuatro personas. Cuando entramos nos dijeron que no había mesas disponibles, solo para cuatro personas. Obviamente esto no se aplicaba a las dos parejas sentadas literalmente dos minutos antes. Sugerimos que volvamos una hora después. Gracias por arruinar nuestra velada. Seguro decir que nunca volveremos o comer en este restaurante de nuevo!

Really unimpressed by this place considering the reviews. The prices were very high for what is ‘fine’ Greek food. £27 for Moussaka is a joke, whilst £21 for two unflavoured chicken thigh skewers and some chips is just unreasonable. The staff were nice and the setting is good but the food is really underwhelming

A superb stay from start to finish, (20/03/2025) amazing personal, family feel, huge room number 1 and massive bubble bath! Superb sleep in a lovely bed and the road noise was taken care of with complimentary ear plugs. Lovely soaps, shampoos and teas and coffees. The breakfast lady was lovely and glamorous, helpful and friendly. The buffet was basic but table service fresh cooked butchers ingredients on the full English made up for it. Just a wonderful place in an otherwise very uninspiring and not particularly safe feeling town. Parking nearby as no actual car park.

We loved the food, and the service was great too. They treated us to some cherries for dessert. to repeat, highly recommended
