The best restaurants serving Greek food in East of England

It was ABSOLUTELY perfect food This my second time here and I tell you it Worth it The customer service was amazing and they were really friendly

Wonderful independent cafe, with incredible food and service! Service - owner and staff incredibly friendly and hugely welcoming Food - wonderful savoury and sweet delights - huge selection and great to have variety of portion sizes too (e.g., my mum was not overly hungry, so had a bite sized treat. I had a bigger appetite, so decided to have a bigger pastry) Drinks - coffee (hot and tasty). Have good selection of teas too. Wonderful little tables outside - great on a warm day.

What an amazing find! I spent the first 27 years of my life visiting my Yaya in Greece This is the most authentic Greek food you can get. Amazing customer service and such good value. My friend had a delicious Chicken 'The Portion' and couldn't finish half of it, she saved the other half for her dinner! I had the amazing pork Souvalki. We both found our food incredibly good. I highly recommend trying anything from The Pitta!

Fantástica joyita en Peterborough. Gran comida, moussaka era delicioso, justo hecho como llegamos allí, vino con tsatsiki casero y una pequeña ensalada aderezada. Terminé con galactoboureko - cielo. Una taza grande de café griego (no las pequeñas tazas que se obtienen en Grecia). Todo al son de la música griega, tocada a un nivel de fondo decente. Realmente nos llevó de vuelta a nuestras vacaciones en Cefalonia. Mi agradecimiento a nuestro servidor (posiblemente el propietario) que me aguantó practicando mi griego rudimentario en él. Era muy amable y servicial. Esta será una parada regular cuando estemos en Peterborough, de hecho vale la pena hacer el viaje desde Whittlesey solo para comer allí. Nos vemos pronto. Steve y Sue.

Tonight was fantastic! what wonderful staff and service, definitely worth every penny. My kids tried the lamb souvla, their weekend special. I had the stifado which was tender with a lot of unique flavours. This restaurant should be on your to do list if in Westcliff. The family run environment is a lovely atmosphere to be in 🙂

Food for 17 people lastnight. All hot and delicious. And those cheese balls 🤤🤤🤤😍😍

Yummy food . Prices are really good too. We ordered almost everything from the meny on different occasions, can't fault them, everything is justs so tasty albania

Super fish platter, very good wine and lovely friendly atmosphere. A real old country pub traditional yet modern in that the cuisine offered is both English and Greek so is wide enough to suit many tastes. Many to feel very welcome and i summer a good place to visit after a long country walk nearby and there are many of them.

Wonderful Greek meze, extremely tasty and well worth it. Service was excellent and staff extremely friendly. Well worth visiting

Another great meal at The Village Taverna. Food was delicious! Great service from Tommy, Rhoda and the team! Highly recommended!

Had chicken gyros wrap - it was sensational! Forgot to take a photo before scarfing it because it was so good.

The place has improved greatly. It has honest Greek food, it is reasonably priced and the quantities leave you full. The staff is lovely.

Its shut now i hope it comes back i swear no lie they where breaking plates on the floor. There was dancing the food was very nice and great value for money. Hope it comes back.

Once again visited this amazing restaurant with the usual fantastic atmosphere wonderful staff and exceptional food never never fails to disappoint The steaks cannot be beaten anywhere,the sides always come out hot and plentiful and excellent value Can't wait to next time,
