Was looking forward to this experience, but fell well short of my expectations! Service was great initially, however the cheese boards were extremely average and we had to order 2 as there wasn't much on them...certainly not good value for money. Nothing unusual cheese wise, re.inded me of supermarket fodder. Great concept when it comes to wine tasting, goid idea, but the atmosphere was sadly lacking, the place was empty, and it felt awkward and uninviting. The bill was almost £100 for two...considering we could have had a nice meal in a good restaurant for that price, we wouldnt recommend or visit again. Very, very disappointing...such a shame as staff were great, buut that was only redeeming part of our night there.

Had family visiting from overseas and wanted to show some traditional Welsh dishes like my Granny used to make so we were delighted that the Welsh House even exists. For while we know Cardiff and the surrounds pride itself on having welsh produce in all the meals, there's just something different and lovely about having good home cooked traditional dishes but actually so hard to find in the city. We were warmly welcomed and given a fab table. Looked after by the friendly team from start to finish. We shared the taste of Wales sharing platter - utterly divine every.single.item. And then each ordered the faggots and mash, steak and welsh ale pie with mash and peas, as well as the pork and Leek sausages with mash. Every single dish was delicious - food cooked perfectly, tasty gravy, delicious mash and the main heroes were Sublime. We didn't have enough room for pudding but plan to come back to try all of them :) Special shout to our waiter Sam who couldn't have been nicer, so happy and warm as well as efficient and great at his job. Really loved speaking with him and he's a credit to the restaurant. Highly recommend you try this wonderful place as well as all the food 😀

Despite being unable to book in advance, the Sticky Fingers website states plenty of walk in tables are available. We did get a table but were unable to order the food we wanted as it was pre-order with a table booking only! No where on the Sticky Fingers website did it actually state this. The manager was very rude and he tried to pass the buck to the vendor which was a bit sad really! Poorly organised with staff who had no clue.
