The best restaurants serving French food in Tunbridge Wells South East

Fairly decent french cuisine restaurant. The starters were okay, and I particularly enjoyed the short ribs in the beef bourguignon sauce. I would've loved to see a better choice of classic french desserts and more interesting cheese options on the dessert menu.

We visit Thackery’s two to three times a year and always have a wonderful evening. The welcome as you arrive is always special, always warm and friendly, and like seeing old friends. The main event is obviously the food, and the quality is always 5 star. Quality produce and cooked to perfection by the head chef and his team. An extensive wine menu is always a treat, with plenty of options whether by the glass or the bottle to choose from. We are never disappointed by Thackery’s , and are looking forward to our Xmas eves yearly visit next month.

Lovely meal, service and surroundings

One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been too. Delicious food. Not to oily and not bad at all. Lots of different things. It was quite empty when I went there so it was quite relaxed. Not to big so I will recommend reserving tables at busy times. For Indian desserts there is only Kulfi, and then some other none-Indian things, bit disappointing but alright. Will recommend definitely.

the service was so bad that it was like being in the Fawlty Towers restuarant. 30 minutes for water, 45 minutes for the starters to arrive even though they had our order a week in advance. the main course - my companions meal arrive after i had finished mine. the restuarant was almost empty. such bad service!!

Had the tasting menu - absolutely fabulous , great choice - wine pairing was exceptional ! Definitely will order again !! Waitress was amazing too, with extensive knowledge of each dish ! Marvellous. 🤩
