The best restaurants serving French food in St Pancras and Somers Town Camden London

We had a lovely evening at Cheezelo enjoying a generous serving of raclette with the traditional trimmings of cured meats, potatoes, and cornichons. I also enjoyed a nice French rose cider. It felt very authentic and we will be sure to recommend it to friends!

This is the second incarnation of this space I have dined in - the previous was called the Gilbert Scott. This time the venue seems calmer and quieter - a rare thing for London restaurants these days. Soft furnishing and comfy deep seating - we stayed to chat after our coffee was long gone. But I found the menu a bit of a challenge - probably down to me but nothing really shone out so I end up with a starter and a further starter for main. It seemed to all work ok. So all in all a pleasant place with a little work needed on the menu. Staff seemed busy and a bit distracted.

Popped in after visiting a late slot at nearby Lightroom Hockney show for some quiet drinks as other venues nearby are large, impersonal and noisy. We sat inside at the bar although there is lots of outdoor seating too looking out onto Coal Drop Year. This is a pretty standard wine bar, with a good selection of wines, impersonal and indifferent service with more of a tradition wine bar ambience under the rail arches. Can't really fault it at a basic level, but it's a shame the owners won't make more effort to provide a basic customer service level or wine expertise, but welcome to Britain 2023.

Mi mujer, mi hija, dos niños pequeños y llamé para el almuerzo. Convenientemente ubicado en el corazón de St Pancras, que era una gran ventaja. El personal es amable y limpio entorno brillante. Menú un poco limitado pero la calidad de la comida estaba bien. Francamente, era lo que esperábamos, nada más y nada menos por ende un marcado promedio.

Decent coffee shop with delicious cakes. We sat outside and watched the world go by. Must mention the decaf latte was delicious 😋

Sandwiches trop durs , (date à consommer de préférence le jour où on l’a acheté) Vraiment déçu rien à voir avec Paul en France, ou les produits sont frais et les sandwiches préparés le jour même ! On a même jeté un sandwich tellement ils étaient pas bons …
