Railway Inn Restaurant

Mid Holderness, East Riding of Yorkshire
18/12/2018: As a party of 5 we made a lunchtime reservation, The place was full , but despite this we were seated quickly and given time to decided what we wanted to eat. Once the order was placed the food arrived after a reasonable length of time . All were hot and delicious. 3 of us had the Christmas Dinner and two the fried fish. To round off the meal we opted for the apple pie and custard , which was excellent. Our thanks to all the staff for a very pleasant lunchtime.
13/12/2018: This has to be the most enjoyable pub to eat at The staff were very obliging in ordering and serving the food. The food itself was cooked to perfection all fresh and well presented and value for money. This is now on must return list.

Minster and Woodmansey, East Riding of Yorkshire, 30-45£
05/01/2019: We love this place. Managed to get into the semi private back room for our traditional xmas eve family meal.
03/01/2019: Hidden away upstairs, just off Butcher Row, the restaurant is spacious and comfortable. The sofa in the bar area is a bit out of context, but the rest all works. The atmosphere was buzzy and lively and was mainly parties of four or more.

The Tiger inn

St Mary's, East Riding of Yorkshire
19/12/2018: A party of eleven of us held our Club Christmas do here. The food was delicious and served promptly by the efficient friendly staff. We were impressed by the organisation and good menu choices. Table was nicely laid and good crackers. Also the red wine was delicious and very reasonably priced and served at the right temperature. We will certainly return. Well done ‘Tiger’ for making our occasion special
16/12/2018: The Tiger has a really nice atmosphere with friendly helpful staff. We arrived without booking a table on a busy Sunday afternoon, but they managed to fit us in. The meal was very good, and great value for money, well worth visiting for a traditional Sunday lunch in nice surroundings.

Pipe and Glass

Beverley Rural, East Riding of Yorkshire
03/01/2019: Just called in for a lunch time drink as we were passing close by. We were asked if we were dining, which we were not but that didn't matter and we were welcomed in for drinks. The beers and wine were excellent. The bar and restaurant look great, the menu looks excellent, if pricey. We sat and chatted for a while amongst others who were choosing their meals. Whilst were were not dressed in suits and fine clothes we were certainly not scruffy or noisy, so it seemed inappropriate for one couple to say "This place is going own hill. We must find another Michelin star restaurant to go too!!" The place has a great atmosphere and we will be returning for food next time!
30/12/2018: I celebrated a big birthday milestone at the Pipe And Glass with 24 family and friends.

The Westwood Restaurant

St Mary's, East Riding of Yorkshire, >100£

Fish and Chips 149

Bridlington North, East Riding of Yorkshire
10/12/2018: Award winning (multiple times!!) for the serious chippy of the year....and found a photo of a VIP herself with fish and chips in hand...(You will have to visit to find out who I mean...) The gluten free is available all day, every day, upon request...well worth the short wait...
03/12/2018: Beautiful fish and chips. Friendly staff. Good menu. Would get 5* but parking is horrendous and you have to be prepared to queue.

Sunshine Caf

South East Holderness, East Riding of Yorkshire
12/12/2018: So very friendly in there, very accommodating, and dog friendly too! The food is always freshly cooked, and good old british-style Cafe food. The all-day breakfast is great, as are the omlettes and, although we haven't tried them, the roasts look amazing too!
10/12/2018: This place was recommended to us by a good friend and we was certainly not disappoint the food was great and the service was excellent and the price was incredible everything about this place was perfect and shall be visiting a few more times before our holiday is up

Whitehead's Fish and Chips

North Holderness, East Riding of Yorkshire
02/12/2018: Based on the website and previous reviews we sought Whiteheads out as one of us is coeliac. Its a bit out of the way in a parade of shops in a housing area away from the seafront. The restaurant ant was surprisingly large and very smart. There is a wide range of fish available and options for smaller appetites and children. We had a 2 haddocks, one being gluten free and both were great. Quick friendly service from the kitchen and our server Kirsty.
01/12/2018: We get our fish and chip suppers here for a local charity. They are consistently high quality tasty and crisp. A credit to the staff!

The Black Horse

Dale, East Riding of Yorkshire, <20£
01/01/2019: Having enjoyed the Black Horse fare on previous occasions decided to take family for Christmas Day.
30/12/2018: We had lunch here and received excellent service and absolutely delicious dishes. There was a good choice of dishes on the menu and the helpings were generous. The fish pie was superb. My friend had chicken liver pate followed by Rum creme brulee which he said was delicious too. They were very busy with over 130 covers but the service was attentive but not intrusive. There was a reasonable selection of real ales.

Bridlington South, East Riding of Yorkshire
18/12/2018: Used my voucher today. The restaurant was very quiet. Nice welcome by the staff and shown to our table. Choice of Christmas Menu, Day Specials or Al a Carte. The food was excellent apart from the very watery Brussels and over cooked vegetables.
13/12/2018: Pretty much regulars at rags ,love the rooms ,love the restaurant, love the staff,it's the best in brid by far, visit rags about 4 times a year,it's us fav hotel and restaurant ,sayno more x

06/11/2018: I have dined here on various occasions, one being my 70th birthday with family. The service was as ever superb from all. The food was very good and well presented.
07/10/2018: Went after checking the reviews. It lived up to its reviews of 5 stars. Very nice and cosy atmosphere excellent staff very friendly and the food is excellent.had the homemade pâté superb followed by cod loin and bread pudding all were excellent

Whites Restaurant and Patisserie

St Mary's, East Riding of Yorkshire
23/12/2018: We love tasting menus & have eaten at several michelin starred establishments.
12/12/2018: The nine course taster is the best gastronomic experience around. Why he hasn’t got a Michelin star is beyond me. Perhaps a good thing as it may put pressure on a fabulous chef. Go now you won’t be disappointed

Cafe Velo

St Mary's, East Riding of Yorkshire, <20£
30/12/2018: Dropped in for my birthday lunch whilst shopping in the town. With 2 adults and 2 children aged 2 and 3 things might have gone wrong with no children's menu, but rest assured that they have a huge range of food to pick from so no need to worry.
30/12/2018: I live in Beverley and am a regular customer at Cafe Velo. At first appearance it looks like a cycle shop, then on closer inspection you realise it’s a cycle-themed cafe. Don’t let that put you off. The eclectic mix of customers included Lycra clad cyclist, families, couples, solos and dedicated regulars. The vibe is addictive whether the cafe is full or just has a handful of customers. Garry and Julie provide a small buy very varied menu. Everything is cooked to order, absolutely no microwaved food or chips. Their coffee is second to none and the selection of cakes should suit all manner of sweet teeth! Cafe Velo is an essential part of the cafe culture of Beverley and well worth the short walk off the market place. Take a seat in the window and watch the world go by in front of the beautiful St Mary’s church. Well done Garry and Julie!

Ostrich Inn

Snaith, Airmyn, Rawcliffe and Marshland, East Riding of Yorkshire, 30-45£
11/12/2018: An early December week away was made truly special by the discovery of the Ostrich Inn .... being out of season we were able to just walk in and discover the fabulously friendly welcome, great local beers and sensational food choices on offer. The first visit had us selecting two of the specials - beouf bourguignon with the butteriest potato mash ever, and a game pie made from pigeon, partridge and pheasant with a huge side dish of delicious vegetables. Our second visit was just as good - rack of lamb and salmon fish cakes ... The Ostrich is the quintessentially perfect pub - go there when the you're hungry and you will have a night to remember.
06/12/2018: Whilst out in the middle of nowhere we came across this oasis of light. It was a chilly evening, so when we went into the pub and saw the log fire we were warmed and happy. The food we had was fresh, tasty and plentiful. We had different meals, and went back a 2nd evening and that was as good.
