Mullins Coffee Shop

Dorking North, Mole Valley
19/08/2018: A s visitors from Southampton we had lunch at this cafe primarily because of its associations with the Mayflower and the Pilgrim Fathers ( who had sailed from Southampton before they stopped off in Plymouth ), and were very pleased with both the food, the service and the decor/ambience of this small coffee-shop. We did not try any of the home-made cakes displayed on the counter, but they looked superb. The Mayflower connection is well documented on a wall display and on each table's placemat. A member of staff took great pains to supply us with a hard-copy of this. The whole ambience is one of a neat, clean coffee-shop with an excellent range of light meals and superb service.
29/07/2018: Historic and friendly with good sized portions, we enjoyed a breakfast and warm welcome here on a Sunday in May. Would recommend.

The Half Moon

Charlwood, Mole Valley, <20£
18/08/2018: Stopped here after spotting it down a side street from the main road. Great looking pub, friendly staff, good drinks and lovely fresh food.
14/08/2018: We had an overnight stay at a nearby BnB, so we decided to try out a couple pubs in the area! All I can say is that we went back to this pub for both lunch and dinner...not only because of the excellent food, but the staff was amazing. They even had a live band that evening which was just an added bonus! The owner, Dave even took the time to stop by our table to say hello and check to see if there is anything we needed. They really made us feel comfortable! Make sure to visit the church that was built in 1080 AD, which was just nearby! It was a great experience for us and we will be back again! - Laura and Jaime Jr

Viva

Dorking North, Mole Valley, 20-30£
26/08/2018: Visited the restaurant today our 3rd visit well what can I say it was awful no taste and stodgy would never go back awful
25/08/2018: On a visit to local vineyard, we popped into Dorking for lunch. Viva really doesn’t look much from the outside, and sadly was almost empty, but perhaps a Friday lunchtime in August is not going to be buzzing!

Cote Brasserie - Dorking

Dorking North, Mole Valley, 20-30£
27/08/2018: Always a good meal with good service, possibly the best restaurant in Dorking without needing a mortgage to eat there. Food is alway well prepared and served good and hot. Good wine list at reasonable Prices. A good place to dine at affordable prices
27/08/2018: I originally went to this restaurant the previous week and had chosen a dish from the vegetarian menu which was lovely so decided to take my husband for our anniversary. I only eat chicken so was great to find a place where myself and husband could both enjoy a meal. When we arrived I enquired about the dish I had the previous week to be told by the manager that they have never sold it and i must have gone to a different restaurant, I pointed out where I had sat and was laughed at and told he knew the menu and this was never offered. He was very patronising, I then found they had a chicken breast which was the only other meal I would eat so ordered that. When it arrived it was pink with flecks of blood, I hesitantly enquired with the waiter who told me that it was supposed to be cooked like that as was a baby chicken and then came back to tell me quite loudly that I could have a replacement but would be too thought go eat. We paid the bill and left hungry and totally humiliated.

The Plough

Leatherhead North, Mole Valley
28/08/2018: I hadn’t been here since it was the old Chaba Thai because the management / ownership had changed. However, the old team is now back and whilst Chaba was always great food, if anything the food was even better based on this last visit.
21/08/2018: Food is delicious here. Have been here many times before. Is definitely the best restaurant in leatherhead .

Allsaints, Leatherhead

Bookham North, Mole Valley
11/08/2018: What a brilliant coffee shop, It's approx 3 minutes from J9 of the M25 (with its own car park), great place to stop off - beats services any day! The building is an old converted church, really spacious with nice atmosphere. Staff were really friendly, coffee and food was great (we had the brekkie panini), cakes and sweet treats looked delicious. My children (7) really like it too. I don't live anywhere near so won't be a regular but I certainly will make a point of stopping off here on journeys round the M25 in future. It's a youth project too, so great place to support!
22/05/2018: Great team have people have built up this local social enterprise that is aimed at employability training of the local young people. But you'd never know as the standard is so high, Great work guys

Denbies Vineyard Restaurant

Mickleham, Westhumble and Pixham, Mole Valley
17/08/2018: Visited this restaurant for lunch following a trip to Dorking. Set on the top floor of the main building at Denbies Wine Estate it has superb views of the vineyard. This is English style cooking at its best. The menu is varied covering most tastes with both an a la carte and set menu. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful offering to vary the dishes to individual tastes as well as altering to allow for gluten intolerance. Presentation of the dishes was excellent and the food delicious. Whilst not cheap, it is well worth it and we will visit again.
12/08/2018: Spent all day on the tour and booked a room at the bed and breakfast

Super Dish

Dorking North, Mole Valley
02/08/2018: I was brought up in Dorking but hadn't been into Super Dish for years. Passing through tonight my wife and I decided to go in for dinner. Our experience was genuinely brilliant. Apart the fact that the interior hasn't changed at all since I was a teenager (and still very clean), the service from all the staff was polite and friendly, especially the boss lady and the charming waitress. Our fish was light with perfect batter, the chips were golden and had clearly been cooked in very clean oil. Portion sizes were generous and all the food and drinks very reasonably priced. We shall make a point of coming again the next time we are in town!
31/07/2018: I was working locally with a group of guys and everyone was getting peckish. Most fancied fish and chips which meant driving into town.It was getting on for 2pm so I had my doubts anywhere would be open.Luckily Superdish was open and the owner quickly supplied 8 portions of fish and chips along with a few cold cans of drink. All the guys said the meal was very good.As the owner packed them in a box with tin foil everything was still nice and hot.Thanks.
