The best restaurants serving Default food in Saundersfoot Pembrokeshire West Wales

We’ve been coming to Mamgu’s since when they were previously in Solva, their homemade Welsh cakes are always superb. Today we stopped for lunch after a long dog walk on the adjacent beach, my wife had their savoury cheese and leek Welshcakes with beans which she enjoyed, I went for their Lamb Cawl. The Cawl, by a very, very long distance, was the best I’ve had anywhere in Wales. Highly recommended, lovely flavour, decent portion, lots of lamb, fresh break roll. Will Go back for this again 100/100.

Always do resteraunt a couple of times, five all had excellent food, popcorn cockles real taste of the sea, very fresh,Ribs very very large, pizzas ok but, limited selection of basic pizza toppings needed to add extras. The salad bowls with Steak came with Steak on top of salad in bowl so was heated, best to ask for a plate with salad on side? One of group had rue sausage which they said was lovely. Second visit just did Steaks,loads of salad,love the u shape fries. Steaks were all perfect, one was a little fatty. Here if you ask for medium rare it's more on the rare side. For a pink centre no blood try medium. One guest had a rare, they like it really rare and it really was. IPA was good but had to ask for further pints with less froth. Staff were excellent had a good laugh. Not as good as original owners, but still worth a return visit.

To rate the food we had would be 5*, excellent chef, great food all the way As to the front of house staff it’s a youth club, messing about, stupidness, tall youth elbowing girls that would cause injury, drinking and singing at the bar, well over staffed, when we came 2 years ago there was just 2 mature ladies running the front and they worked their socks off, tonight no customer was looked after Also don’t go in if your overweight , there was 2 staff taking the pee out of 2 men because they were large and ordered big meals, there seems to be a sign language between staff about customers, all very odd behaviour been now three years running, went to the sister pub the chemist yesterday and had great service, I always make a point of leaving a tip as I work in hospitality myself, and realise how hard the work can, it’s great to see people happy in there work but there’s a line I feel shouldn’t be crossed, but unfortunately no tip was left so I feel sorry for the chefs and pot wash, the situation needs gripping by the management, over staffed by at least three.

Pizzas and salad were very tasty and service was great from the young serving staff. Kids finsihed their plates which is a rairty. Enjoyed teh decor and the oportunity for people watching form a tabel by the window. Spotlessly clean place, only downside was listeining to what I think was the owner moaing in at anotehr table.

Helpful young man in charge of this kiosk, which isclose to the harbour and sands. The kiosk is actually adjacent to the lovely and exotic sensory gardens. These with the memorial bench make for a superb location to enjoy the indulgent flavours of Sidoli ices. There is something very traditional, and just right eating good ice cream at the seaside. Mine had chocolate flakes as well.

The prettiest looking of Bistros which is what drew us in and it only got better from there. We ordered 2 veggie breakfast and they were HUGE and really high quality. Very friendly staff and lovely environment to sit qnd enjoy. Thank you

1st time here since the refurb, there is more space for tables for food, but there is still a good atmosphere, food was good, and drinks were good we sat outside on the terrace with the sea view, worth a visit

Absolutely fantastic. Meal was superb. Staff were amazing. Special mention to Emma who was the best . Always had a smile on her face. Looked after 6 of us. Band were amazing. What a great night. We'll be back for sure .

We live in the village. Keen to support local business ... but sorry... Awful. The food was awful! Dry and old. They did offer an alternative but it was SO awful that I was happy to leave. Never again.

Booked a table at 6pm for my fathers 85th birthday. Arrived at 5.55pm stood in restaurant to be told our table wasn't ready yet and to sit in the bar and have a drink . Tables were all pre laid and at that point in time we were the only customers in the entire restaurant. Went to bar, no staff , waited until a staff member came along asked for 2 gin and tonics and was told he couldn't serve me. Another member of staff came along and served us. At this point our table was ready. Service was slow and the staff seem very half hearted about serving you , almost as though they couldn't be bothered. Food was very well presented but dessert (Xmas pudding ) was just luke warm. A plate with happy birthday and 3 macaroons was presented at the end of the meal which was a nice touch. All in all a bit disappointing for a meal that came to almost £160 Ior 3 people I expected better.

We enjoyed a pint outside while waiting for a table for the popular curry night, great value for £15 including a drink. Great atmosphere, nice food and friendly staff. Our Border Collie was a hit with the other customers!

Absolutely amazing food. Excellent service. Nothing is too much trouble. Staff are friendly, chatty & helpful, and it’s clean. Definitely recommend the coronation chicken, cheese salad. Hubby had baked spud first time which he enjoyed & baguette 2nd time each he enjoyed. And the cakes WOW!! I will miss the carrot cake which I highly recommend & the custard slice is just as amazing. The cost is brilliant too. Thanks you Phillys Baguettes

We’ve been here on a few occasions now and always find it great. It can get pretty busy at times so appreciate that we may have to wait a few minutes more. The staff are very efficient and have to have patience at times.

Good food and service. I liked the fact that the fish ( cod ) was skinned.
