Lovely late Sunday lunch yesterday, surprised it was so quiet. Plenty of meat, fresh veggies and a jug of gravy. We ordered a side of mash to share

We were served by Lucy, who was great, very witty and professional. Had a lovely meal as always but would love to see a menu change at some point, we know your excellent chef team must have some stunning new recipes to try out!

Went here for a birthday party..very clean service very good and no complaints as to the food..would recommend for any occasion..

Really nice selection of traditional meals, all made with locally sourced produce. Staff were friendly and attentive without being fussy. Food was great and on par price wise with others. Would highly recommend but also suggest booking to avoid disappointment.

When booking we asked if they could offer gluten free options. They asked “how gluten free?” Erm… gluten free is gluten free! It was explained that 2 people attending had Coeliacs Disease. We were informed at the time of booking that the fryer used for gluten free was out of action. Upon ordering gluten free braising steak we were told it was unavailable. Second choice was a gluten free beef burger only to be told 10 minutes later that the patty wasn’t gluten free! The chicken burger was offered as an alternative. When the chicken burger arrived it looked delicious. Wrong. The chicken/bacon/cheese was tasteless and the gluten free bread tasted & smelled like pure yeast. We thought having the gluten free chocolate orange brownie would make up for the disappointing main course. Gluten free chocolate brownies ordered. 15 minutes later we were told they were unavailable. I won’t be recommending this restaurant on any of the local Coeliacs websites. If they can’t offer a realistic gluten free menu then they shouldn’t advertise that they can.

Passed by here many times before but as the main part seemed a little run down we hadn't given it a second thought. This time however, We were in need of a break as our journey had been fraught with heavy traffic so we pulled in and were so glad that we did. A very pleasant refreshment stop, with helpful, friendly and smiling staff meant that we stayed a little longer than intended. We shall definitely call in again when travelling this route.

Large variety of food and drink options available. Fresh cakes, scones and hot drinks. Cold/soft drinks available in the fridge on entry. Observations: - Prices start around £2.50 for a 330ml can of soft drink. - One pay-till so a 5 minute wait is enevitable - No order via app/website/server comes to the table - Friendly staff

Used this place quite a few times. Staff are lovely and so is the food. Plenty of choice on the menu and the prices are decent too
