The best restaurants serving Default food in Richmond Central Richmondshire Yorkshire and The Humber

Stopped here after walking in the area. Lovely to be able to take our two dogs, super paninis, definitely up there with the best and a fabulous selection of really tasty cakes. Good coffee and friendly staff complete the picture. I understand they are expanding the car park which will be useful, but this is an excellent spot for delicious refreshments.

What a fantastic find. We visited on the Saturday evening for the dining experience and were not disappointed. The food (cheese and charcuterie) was phenomenal, the service was brilliant (knowledgeable and enthusiastic), the wine was delicious, the ambiance and setting matched. We would definitely recommend this and will be back next time we are in the area. All in all a fantastic night that enhanced a magnificent weekend. Thank you so much.

I got a double cheese and bacon burger, was very nice, and also had a side of chips and coleslaw, food arrived very quickly, would absolutely recommend!

I was enjoying the Swim up and down the lengths a great pool while peter was watching and when finished got chained and we both went in for coffee and cake we had a great time

Highly recommend visiting for fish Friday or Sunday lunch! Food is amazing with large portion sizes. All home cooked and freshly made to order! Well worth a visit

A busy little cafe in the heart of Richmond where we enjoyed a pleasant light lunch, with good and friendly service at reasonable prices.

We stayed two nights at the Frenchgate B&B as we were going to a wedding nearby. The service was excellent and smooth. We were sent directions for parking in advance, we were given a iron and ironing board and when we missed breakfast after the wedding we were offered a packed lunch and coffee. The breakfast was generous and delicious and the room was a very good size. Location is also fantastic and Richmond is a lovely town to spend some time in.

At the end of March, 2025, my wife and I had bed, breakfast and evening meal at the Bolton Arms. Everything about it was very good : The location, the architecture (really cosy) and the food and drink were great. The staff were also very helpful, combining informality and professionalism in a very positive way. Add to all that the local scenery and you have a great place to stay if you're visiting that beautiful part of the country. I would definitely go again!

Brilliant coffee and huge selection of cakes, brownies and traybakes! Really lovely cafe, quieter than in the main square, the most amazing selection of homemade cakes, lovely friendly atmosphere. Really recommend.

Fabulous meal, I ordered a pizza that wasn’t on the menu and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. It was delicious, thank you. Staff were lovely, helpful and attentive. Will definitely be back

Had a really lovely meal we had the rump steak and it was excellent, this is a restaurant we like to use when we go up to Richmond, their steaks are the best we have eaten out. They are always tender and cooked as asked .
