The best restaurants serving Default food in Worcester West Midlands

We enjoyed the excellent value lunchtime 2 course meal deal here. The welcome was lovely, and the service was helpful and friendly. The complimentary bread and dips that they gave us were just wonderful. The bread was light, fluffy, and packed with flavour. I asked where it was bought from, but they made it on the premises, now that's quality. My garlic mushrooms were so good that I was craving them the next day, I could have eaten them as a main course. Our main courses were delicious, but the bowl of salad they came with was a feast for the eyes, sadly I forgot to photograph it. It was so colourful and varied, and I queried what was sprinkled over it, it was sumac, I'm now adding it to salads. We stumbled upon this restaurant, but it will be on our list of places to visit when we are next in the area.

Amazing food! Husband had beef stifado and I had Slovaki, both were fantastic and tasty. Staff were really friendly. Would definitely make this place a regular haunt if lived in Worcester.

This spot was a highlight of my time in Worcester. Excellant and accomadation staff who produced delicious food. In particular I loved how many gf options they offered and how nice they were. Truly a gem of a spot

Nice restaurant in a lovely old building. Fantastic choice, even for the vegetarian which was unusual. We opted for a cold meze and hot meze to share with a salad. The service was fast, friendly and the food was very tasty. Good selection of draft beers as well as wine, which is quite unusual in a Turkish restaurant.

Found this place for breakfast. Good selection of mediterranean style breakfasts prepared fresh to order by friendly staff. We really enjoyed ours. The takeaway savoury pastries in the cabinet looked tempting too.

The pizza here is outstanding - as good as I have ever had! Vinnie is a lovely guy and the service is fantastic. The prices are very reasonable given how good the pizzas are. It is upstairs in a pub that is also great. Overall, I really can’t recommend this place highly enough. It is my favourite place to eat in Worcester!

What can I say about this fantastic bar that hasn't already been said in the other reviews!? Only that for me this place is a real destination spot, an exciting trip out and always somewhere I suggest when meeting friends. I think about it in advance, remembering how much I enjoyed my previous visit. Seriously, this place is that good! The array of choice is unbelievable, with table menus displaying details of these unusual Belgian beauties. It's a fine dining experience (but with drinks), and I always discover a new one that blows my mind, by how delicious it tastes. This time it was a 13% brew on draught. I've never tasted anything quite like that in my life. Obviously these are served in the appropriate sized matching glasses. I wish I knew the name of it but it was the last one of the night! 😂 Bar staff are always friendly and knowledgable if you have have any questions about the beers, there is a real love here for what they do. The atmosphere is spot on (usually) chilled out, people chatting, enjoying themselves, unintrusive music playing in the background, great decor, subtle. Everything for me feels right, feels authentic and is as it should be. - However, after arriving on Friday evening and one drink in came on the Live music which was a complete opposite of what makes this place so fantastic. This is the reason for my 4 star review and not the 5 stars it truly deserves. The band played Oasis covers, Backstreet boys, and other Dad/Mum rock, it was virtually impossible to chat any longer, due to the volume, but we somehow managed to do this. After a few songs in the singer of the band ridiculed us for not joining in with his dated abhorent racket. It was a bit aggressive and uncalled for really, we didn't mean to hurt his feelings by not clapping, we just weren't into it, and it was forced upon us. I don't think many people were into it really. I listen to everything from Classical music to Black Metal, and of course I listened to Oasis in 2000s. I love music, but this was bad! It felt like a football hooligans party and we had somehow been caught up in the middle of it. I know this sort of thing is still popular in some places, but it was like being in a tacky karoke bar. We could take no more, we were torn, but had to leave. What a relief to get away from that place (with that music playing!) I was surprised to be honest that Tripleb would have booked someone like that as it's not really in keeping with the bar itself, and made it feel like any old crappy Worcester bar while Oasis was being wailed from the speakers. Bah! We did however, return to the bar (because it is so great!) and the hoped the band had finished. Last song. Hurrah! I appologise for my long review, but I had a lot to say as the band did invade our planned evening. In future I will keep an eye out for bands playing and see if it's something I would like. Honestly outstanding. I’m not a vegan far from, neither my friend who I dined with. The food was outstanding, they smashed the balance of the sweet, sour and salt. The menu is well balanced and not pretentiously vegan, but yet ethically on point. It was refreshing to feel the chefs passion in the food with the flavours and presentation. The service from walking in was warm and welcoming. We were a little early but made to feel like it wasn’t a problem at all. Can’t wait to come back!

Popped in for lunch. Very clean and friendly. Had a tuna and cheese sandwich, it was delicious and the brown bread tasted fresh and homemade, or as good as ! Good value too. Highly recommend a visit if you're passing.

Absolutely amazing establishment, a core player in the Worcester music scene; one I hadn't visited for a while until recently. I was served by an absolutely amazing young woman (I did not get her name, but she had very red hair!), who made sure my friends and I were looked after despite the bar being very busy. I did not order any food on my visit, but the food brought to the tables around me looked and smelled amazing. I will say that my one negative comment is that the facilities are looking slightly worn, the place could definitely do with at least a lick of paint to liven it up a little more - that, and it seemed a tad understaffed for how busy the night was! I will definitely be returning :)

Simple, tasty and healthy sushi. I tried a burrito which was delicious. A very relaxed and pleasant environment in which the service was friendly and efficient.

Tried this place on the off-chance, not knowing anything about it. After all, one pizza's much the same as another, isn't it? "A Margherita, please." Sat down in an atmospheric narrow cavern with a corrugated ceiling, set in a railway arch. Room for little more than one line of tables. I was the only customer. Three staff on--two youngsters and a lady owner. I felt a bit awkward. Bit of a wait. Good sign, though. And, oh my gawld, what a pizza it turned out to be! For a start, it was square. (So, no, all pizzas aren't the same.) The base was very thick and almost chewy in places, especially the corners--but in a good way, like sourdough. The mozzarella was the real thing, with cartoon-like elasticity which made eating this pizza an experience--the opposite of a fast-food pizza. The tomato sauce ran into pools over the surface. They'd cut the pizza into 4 quarters. I only managed 3, it was so filling. And I thought I could eat any amount of pizza put in front of me. No way should a place like that have been empty. One of the best pizzas I've ever had in my life.

We love the food served up by the lovely Jane and her staff. It's a regular Saturday lunchtime treat for us - thought I had actually already left a review as been coming here for a number of years now :) Food is always freshly prepared to order and Jane puts alot of effort into offering interesting and amazing specials each week. It's literally a hidden gem, but quality always draws customers !

What a gem. Came here for a late lunch as I've been wanting to try the pizza for ages - I was not disappointed! We both thought it was the best pizza we had ever had and will definitely back to try more of the menu. The owner told me the lasagna pizza had been really popular and I can definitely taste why!
