The best restaurants serving Default food in Haywood and Hixon Stafford West Midlands

Staff were nice and friendly. My beef salad was better than what I had in other restaurants On a side note my relative who is hard to please would give it 5 stars

Exceptional friendly service and very attentive and accommodating. We were told that any of the meals could be adapted to suit our requirements if needed, and there is an extensive choice on the menu. The quality of the dishes that we had was exceptional and tasty. However, the only disappointing thing was when the food was delivered to the table, it was only luke warm that was both the starters and the main courses. If they food had been warmer, it would definitely have been a much nicer meal.

Good food, reasonably priced, in a pleasant atmosphere. Steak and ale pie excellent, pastry light and plenty of tender meat. Nice thick cut chips. The blackurrent sorbet is fabulous - not many places serve it, but it's my go to dessert. Pleasant staff and good clean atmosphere to the surroundings.

Ate here on our last night of our barge holiday, what a great pub. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and ensured we were well looked after. We were a party of 6, pretty much chose different main courses and everyone was happy , I had the best ham egg and chips I’ve had for a long time! The steak and kidney pies were very good too according to my husband. Very happy we found this pub, thank you for a cracking night 🥰

We recently had a great breakfast here so called back for there fantastic cakes and pork pies so decided to have another breakfast it was super busy but was served quick this time it was not so good the sausage was black and burnt the black pudding was the end pieces and still had the wrap around the tomato was not cooked generally very bad so we left most of it the waitress came to clear the table looked at the plates and asked if there was a problem we wasn’t going to say anything but my wife told her I wasn’t happy she came back and said give them a few minutes as they were very busy the manager refunded the breakfasts which we said there was no need and the waitress who was lovely explained it had never happened before we put it down to them being very busy I can’t honestly say how we were treated that day had in no way deterred me from eating here again as we buy there cakes and best ever pork pies regular the manager showed faith in his kitchen and staff and deserves customer loyalty from us will be back very soon for im sure a very nice breakfast.

Most unwelcome visit, clearly not a regular so unfriendly. First time under new ownership. Won’t be back or recommend. Shame as could be a focal point for the village

I'm assuming that this tearoom is the one we visited yesterday renamed the Mansion House tearoom. Had been looking forward to a tasty lunch only to be terribly disappointed. The swede soup with honey could have been anything, completely tasteless It was perhaps only excelled by the disgustingly soggy,indigestion inducing curried veggie burger. We left the food and won't be back despite having just become members of the National Trust specifically to visit Shugborough on a weekly basis.

I come here often for a bacon sandwich as their bread is always fresh and bacon done as I ask well done came last week and as usual asked for a bacon sandwich was told it will be a bacon bap oh I said do you not do bread now lady showed me new menu which showed a picture of a bap I said I always have your bread as its so fresh so she replied you could order toast and have it on that !!! Well surely if you do toast you can do it on bread she did then say I will ask the chef and I did in the end get a bacon sandwich but why make it so difficult to just tweak a menu especially when you did it originally
