Visited this fine cafe on Saturday 12 April at 12noon. It was a first time visit with my wife and sister in law who will be celebrating her 90th Birthday on Sunday 13th April. I chose this cafe on line as one of my sister in law's Birthday treats. I had reserved a table and this was ready and waiting for us when we arrived. The menu was impressive and we ended up having delicious sandwiches and soup. Despite the fact we were full we decided to indulge in a pudding. Loads to choose from including home made cakes and scones. We also took home scones and cake to enjoy later. We would certainly visit again and have already recommended the cafe to family members who are keen to visit. The staff were efficient and friendly. Thanks to all at the cafe. Hope you see you all again in the near future.

It is my husband's birthday today and my daughter produced a wonderful lunch with every product she bought from the Cheeseboard. Outstanding cheeses and meats and everything else she could get her hands on...as usual we could not eat it all and went home with 'doggie-bags'...Thank you CHEESEBOARD for the excellent quality of your products and the smile you serve her with. This is not the first time we have had products from you and won't be the last time. Thank you. Elke Beckley

I was so impressed with our fish and chips at lunch today, 16th June, had to write this! The fish was amazing, white, chunky cod exactly how it should be, freshly cooked! Chips were how I like them dry and hot! Not soggy and dripping in oil! Thank you for making our lunch perfect!

My mum and I as well as our two dogs had walked here from the Three Counties showground and arrived about 20 minutes before the pub actually opened. It was a hot day and we were waiting outside in the shade when the lady that worked there offered us to sit in the pub garden to the rear until they opened which was very kind. They had dog bowls for water for the dogs and she also came out to give the dogs a treat. Once they opened we had a drink and ordered the Sunday carvery which was absolutely fabulous. Lots of choice and all very nicely cooked. Thanks to them for great service.

Placed our food order waited 25 minutes, the food came and we had brown bread instead of white like we asked, I asked for no red onion chutney and it had just been scrapped off the bread so I could still taste it and the chips that came with it was such a small portion only about 10 chips. The food was also stone cold. We didn't complain as it was too busy and I didn't want to wait. I would not recommend this pub for food.
