Never felt so unwelcome, cannot be solo and have a coffee and snack between 11-1 as it's lunchtime, even with empty tables around.

We found this place by accident, it was spotlessly clean and the waiter who I think is the owner was friendly and efficient. All four of us enjoyed our drinks and meals which were very reasonably priced. In fact we enjoyed the food so much we returned the next day for breakfast which left us quite full all day! So nice to get perfectly cooked mushrooms and tomatoes. The veggy breakfast was excellent.

We generally go every week for our panini fix. Great choice and if you need to tweak your order that's not a problem. Although quiet when you first meet him, once you get to know Patrick, he's always up for some banter. Quality ingredients, amazing value for money and the coleslaw is to die for.

My boyfriend and I got stuck in Malvern today due to a bridge strike so we decided to walk from the train station and try to find somewhere warm to wait for transport back to Hereford when we stumbled across this cafe. The food and service was outstanding, very clean and a calm and nice atmosphere, best coffee and hot chocolate we’ve had!!! I would definitely come here again, we were even given small chocolates on our leaving :) Thankyou so much !! Xx

A pleasant enough cafe serving nicely presented food. The waitress forgot to bring our drinks. She was very apologetic, and this can happen to anyone, but surely they should have a system to ensure this kind of thing can't happen? The home made burger was OK, but the cheese really should have been melted and the burger was a bit overcooked. My wife's fried eggs were cooked solid, which was disappointing. Guess you get what you pay for!

It’s tough out there for cafes and restaurants... so its great when you find a place that has got its covid takeaway act together. Easy phone call to order, great response upon answering. Since moving to Malvern I have struggled to find a breakfast on offer that matches some of the farm shop breakfasts we left behind. I am so glad I tried the Cafe on the Green in Barnards Green, as it has to be the best breakfast we have found in the area. My son and I both had the full English breakfast and were really impressed with how good it was, and also very good value. Nice place to sit in and eat, and bigger then first thought from the outside. Nice staff and quick service for food which is obviously cooked to order as well. Thanks, we will be back.

A very cold winter's morning demanded we seek somewhere to get some hot drinks inside us, and we spied this cafe on the main street. The steps up make it a quite difficult for the mobility impaired customers, and this is repeated when going from the eating area to the toilets. There are numerous tables and chairs and most of them had diners and it was clear that they were regulars who had an excellent rapport with the two staff people who were looking after their customers. The owner came to the table and took our order and seemed to be dealing with a multitude of requested tasks from the diners, many of whom were elderly. The order was quickly brought and was piping hot. The premises and furniture were very clean and tidy despite the numbers of customers. The atmosphere is pleasant with pastel colours to the walls, an extensive serving area displaying a wide variety of cakes, sandwiches, soft drinks, coffees and teas. The unisex toilets are accessed through a door to the rear of the dining area which leads to a very clean compartment with water closet, wash hand basin, etc. wash hand basin.

Top tip - don't go for breakfast withing 30 mins of breakfast ending! Received a look as we entered. Then nothing. No 'hello' or 'how do you do'? just a deliberate feigning of inattention. Well that's OK, I have all day and you have three other tables to deal with. After 32 minutes, finally some attention. Breakfast please! ''Sorry it ended 2 minutes ago''. First and last visit. Well done to the two ladies running the show - a splendid way to keep the crowds down.

My wife and I have been to the Cafe in the Green but never reviwed it before. Barnards Green is not the best place to park, but we got lucky and parked right outside that day. We were after a quick breakfast because we were running late and that's exactly what we got with good strong tea. The cafe is rather small, but well laid out and if the weather is OK (it wasn't that day) there is seating outside. The Proprietor is very efficient with a dry sense of humour (we knew him when he was the Manager of Ask, Malvern) but he seemed a bit distant that day. Well we all have our off days I suppose, and maybe he just didn't feel like a chat. He was probably running around trying to do a lightening fast top quality breakfast for us! We recommend this cafe bearing in mind that that is what it is - it's not a licensed restauant.

It's about time I wrote a review for what is certainly my favourite place for a coffee in Malvern! I've been coming here for months now with friends, usually for a coffee and late breakfast, sometimes for coffee, cake and a good natter. We're always guaranteed a friendly welcome from Patrick, and some great food. I'm partial to the scrambled eggs on toast, but also love the toasties and everything else I've managed to try! I hesitate to recommend the brownies, for fear that they get so popular that there aren't any when I go in one day.... but they are gorgeous!! The cafe is child friendly, with seats, toys and plenty to eat, including options for my coeliac son. There are things to read for those who want to spend time relaxing - newspapers and a bookshelf. Even on busy days the wait for food isn't long at all, and it's always worth it. If you haven't already been in for a visit, then you should do soon!

Barnard's Green appears to be a 'happening' area in Malvern; this smart and relaxed café being one of the attractions. The café is very clean, the decor is tasteful and it looks inviting from the outside. The café is not big, but they were quick to put a couple of tables together for us on arrival, so we were comfortable as a group of 5 adults. There seemed to be a good mix of people in on 06/05/16, which suggests the café is popular and we'll supported locally. Four of us are not from Malvern, so this was our first visit. We went for a late breakfast cum brunch, after a tour of the Morgan Factory. Four traditional full English breakfasts and one poached eggs on toast, plus teas and coffees came to just under £30. The quality of the food, the ingredients and cooking is very high and we all agreed it tasted superb. My poached eggs were cooked to perfection, with bright orange and proud yolks, which suggests the eggs are fresh. The beverages were also good, and we are particular about our tea and coffee. To a person we agreed this café is good value for money, given everything was freshly prepared and we will be happy to visit again in the future. We will also be happy to sample the other food on the menu, which is interesting and varied.Service was responsive, welcoming and efficient. I didn't use the bathroom, but my friends said the facilities are excellent. There is short - term parking just outside the group of shops, so this is more than enough for meeting friends and having time to chat and catch up. This charming and independent café is highly commended by us and we would urge people, whether local or visiting, to support this delightful place, rather than the bland corporates.

We found strangely few tearooms and cafes in the area, so we were pleased to drop in for a cup of coffee and a teacake, which were fine. They were served with good grace in spite of the fact - which we hadn't realised - that we'd turned up just five minutes before closing time. Once we appreciated this, we felt a little bit guilty and made sure we left without further delay - leaving a bag with camera etc behind! Unfortunately we live a hundred miles away which meant I couldn't pop back and reclaim them - but the owner was happy to post them back to us and we were of course hugely grateful. So in summary - this is an excellent little café with exceptional standards of customer service.

Previous visits have been excellent, however they were totally unprepared for the festival traffic today. Kept accepting food orders and more and more customers, despite having a kitchen that is not equipped for the numbers. Was told a half hour wait for food, fair enough, however our drinks took 25mins to arrive and the food, 50mins. Bacon sandwiches used to be amazing here, but greasy bread with undercooked bacon that looked like it had been pinged in the microwave was a massive turn off. Won’t bother again, will stop somewhere else en -route in future
