The size of the rooms precludes the employment of staff and limits the number of covers they can offer. The result is an intimate meal of many small plates. Delicious but crowded!

Fantastic food served and cooked by really nice, friendly people. Don't let the fact that it's on an Industrial estate put you off, or you'll be missing out. Transport type cafe with everything cooked freshly, but you don't have to wait too long for your hot, delicious food. In or out, your food will be brought to you by very friendly ladies who are always smiling!! Prices are very, very competitive and, in my opinion, the best value for money in the town. Next time we're up from Hayle, we'll be visiting again, and again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Such a cute place and amazing dishes. To start with we had scallops and asparagus , then we went with their seafood pasta, tuna, sea-bass and lamb. To close it off, the orange and chocolate cheesecake + the rhubarb creme brûlée were stunning. Staff were super nice and friendly. I’d come back many times if possible, specially around Christmas time.

Don’t miss visiting this delightful, quirky tea rooms. Bruce, the American proprietor, will give you value for money with his banter alone. That being said you are sure of a warm welcome and will not be disappointed by his wares. We stopped on our way to Barbrook for a delicious cream tea - great choice of tea or coffee, plain or fruit, homemade, light as a feather, scones and strawberry or raspberry jam options too. After our holiday what better way to end it than tucking into an amazing breakfast. Don’t take my word for it, call in and try it for yourself - I grantee it will put a smile on your face and you will go back!

Tried all the desserts (all wonderful, sticky toffee and brownie were especially exceptional.) Hosts were super happy to make any changes, and absolutely lovely, and the food was great too!

We were recommended by our host at Blackmore Farm, where we were staying for the night - I booked ahead (a few weeks), as I was told that it was popular and gets booked up quickly! The gentleman that I spoke to, when booking on the phone, was very polite and efficient. On the evening of our visit we parked on Kilve village hall car park as the few parking spots at the front of the building were already taken. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and shown to our seats. The interior is very clean and looked freshly decorated (very tastefully!)… we felt very comfortable. We ordered the cod loin with asparagus and a fish cake and fish and chips. We were completely blown away by the freshness of the ingredients, the quality of the cooking and the taste was sublime! (Apparently the chef is only 21, but deserves top marks; he is a star in the making). If you are ever in Somerset and want incredible food at an extremely reasonable price, I cannot recommend the Hood Arms at Kilve highly enough. Put quite simply, it was the best meal out that we have eaten in a very long time!

We ordered 2 jumbo battered sausages and 3 large portions of chips this evening (Friday). All came out piping hot, and we're delicious. There was enough staff on to deal with the Friday night queue and orders were met in a timely fashion despite being busy. Good value for money too - coming from Bristol I'd normally pay double for what I paid this evening! Can't complain about that! I'd recommend this fish and chip shop 100%.
