Never had a bad meal here. Been here a few times now. It is very Reasonably priced especially for the quality and very friendly people inside

Late lunch, 1st time at this chip shop and definitely worth it. Chips were hot, crispy, not greasy and firm, batter on the fish was lovely and crispy. Good size portions and priced similar to others. The staff were friendly, served with a smile and the shop looked clean and inviting. Would definitely go again if nearby, one of the best in the area.

Good but not quite as good as my favourite fish and chips shop back home in Yorkshire, also more expensive - but I think that's the economic reality of running a business in this area.

Just had cod and chips and it was the best I’ve had in years! The fish was fresh and cooked perfectly, the batter was thin and crispy as it should be and the chips were great and cooked in good oil. Excellent! 🙌

Very disappointed, salad on chicken burger was brown, chips sloppy and not so large fish, will not be back.

As you do when you go to the coast you must have fish and chip on the beach its an english tradition ( well its ours) but OMG these were the best and i mean the best coastal fish and chips we have ever had, although busy wasnt waiting long rhey had a brilliant set up, batter crispy and cooked to perfection, not creasy was still hot by the time we drove to the coast ( parked near Minehead lifeboat station), and the fish was so tasty we got 2 fish and one portion of chips, if i was able i would give more than 5 stars definately reccomend, please surpport them.

We came here whilst visiting the area. Glad we did. The cheesy chips were really nice, plenty of cheese and they were delicious and hot. Would definitely return.

Popped in for a regular bag of chips while staying on the nearby caravan site. Got back to the site by car so not long,minutes, only to find the chips were almost cold. Ruined our meal as we added these to something we cooked in the van.

We’ve been coming to Butlins Minehead for years, and every year we always get dinner here one of the nights. Me and my family absolutely love it and it’s always very delicious! Definitely recommend for everybody. Thank you 😋😊

Fish and Chips for the first time whilst staying in Minehead. Coming from a fishing town “Lowestoft”, and being brought up on fresh local caught fresh fish, the fish purchased today was excellent. Loverly and white, fantastic batter, and cooked to perfection… I can honestly say it’s the best fried Fish, I’ve had for many Years. Sorry to admit the Fish and Chips were better than I had purchased in Southwold also… 10/10 Guys, much appreciated

On a 6 day break and visited this shop twice and both times I've hade excellent fish and chips, lovely crisp batter and the fish cooked to perfection. Will definitely use them again next time I'm in the Minehead area.

Best F&C in Minehead! Avoid the queues on the seafront and get the better quality here. £3.50 saisage & chips at lunch is a steal.

Found this fish & chip shop open when several others were closed. Very quick and efficient service by a polite young lady. After ordering fish & chips for two, we noticed the sign advertising free chips for senior citizens. “Shame we didn’t see that before ordering” I said to my wife. The assistant overheard me and gave us a refund for a portion of chips! We thoroughly enjoyed our takeaway meal. The best we’ve tasted in ages.

Excellent fish and chips. Seemed a strange way to order and how they deal with it, and staff did give a surly vibe, but certainly can't fault what they produce.

Me and my partner have never eaten here before, but absolutely blown away the minute it touched our lips! Very friendly customer service, very quick and efficient waiting time and the food was absolutely amazing! The chips were cooked perfectly, the fish and chicken chunks were outstanding and suuper crispy and nothing was drenched in oil. Will absolutely be coming again and defiantly recommend to anyone in the area! 10 / 10

First fish and chip shop I've found where you just want to keep going back. Friendly staff, good price, freshly fried fish ( haddock for me). I've had to limit the number of times I go......my waist line is expanding 😕

If your in minehead and looking for fish and chips this is the place, better than any other in the county. Well recommended.

Very high quality food. Absolutely freshly cooked and proper fish portions. Got there at 5pm Saturday evening. 5 or 6 in front of me, and by the time i left, 15 behind me. So be prepared for a wait at busy periods but as they say, all good things come to those who wait.

We have just had fish and chips from here, they were so disappointing, the fish was mainly batter and so greasy, the chips were just warm. We won't be visiting again.

Some of the best fish and chips we've ever had! We visited Minehead from Bristol for a weekend and were recommended this place by someone in the hotel. Absolutely didn't disappoint - the fish was fresh and well cooked, the chips were perfect and the curry sauce was the best I've ever had. Plus the woman working was really, really lovely. Will 100% be back.

You had to wait for the product to be cooked fresh, but that wasn’t a problem beautifully cooked fish was superb. Would definitely use again.

Well what a find visited at lunchtime only a few people waiting ordered 2 haddock and chips. Freshly cooked by very friendly and cheerful staff. Enjoyed the wait as I knew I was getting freshly cooked fish and chips great value and very much enjoyed eating down at the seafront

My friend said her fish was excellent and this must account for the rave reviews but the rest was underwhelming. The chips were OK but very small portion. I expect large chips to easily feed two, but it fell well short. The sausage and the saveloy were unpleasant. I won't be returning.

So so torn. Fish - brilliant! And must be where they get their reviews -best I've had in years! BUT was served in with the chips and broke apart into several pieces. Chips - TINY portion, we got a large and it was only enough for 1, half a plateful. Battered sausage & savaloy - average, 3 stars. Everything would have got a 3.5* but the fish was lovely and the saving grace. That said, they were super busy, but all of the staff looked bored and pretty sad (genuinely wanted to check if they were OK). So the reviews didn't meet the offering at all. If you're just ordering the fish, you're fine. Everything else needs serious work.

Very jolly chippy with hot and tasty food and quick service. We called in on the way back to nearby campsite and they stayed warm on walk back. Great mushy peas but sadly don't do steak pudding. Definitely ideal for a chippy tea.

I always visit this chip shop when holidaying in area and recommend to others visiting. Tonight drove from holiday accommodation in Blue Anchor to get dinner, ordered pie and chips for me and scampi and chips for partner. Everything cooked to order and no issue waiting. Heard woman say scampi ready and was all packaged up only to get back and my partner had cod and chips! So annoyed and too far to drive back. Great first meal after a long day!

There's a fish and chip shop close to where we live that was voted best in the south. This place is definitely on par. We went there on a busy Friday night. They had a very efficient system and we only waited 5-10 minutes for our food. Chips were amazing and batter was perfect. Highly recommended

We go there regularly as it was far the best . But last night was very disappointing to the point that we will be going elsewhere. The staff were too busy discussing films , they gave us the wrong order although she said the correct number . The quality was dreadful because the fish was double battered and they had broke it half , the chips were under cooked . There were items missing which there would obviously be as it was not our order which we didn't realise until we got home ( 9 miles away) . In all the years we have used them we have never had such a bad meal from them .

We are regular customers and we Just had haddock (x2) and 1x large bag of chips between us, plus 1x curry sauce. The food was just gorgeous and the fish was freshly cooked. Great service with a smile, given your ticket with a number and when ready they call you up to collect your food, it was getting busy, so shows how popular and such great tasty food served. You will not be disappointed but, if you are, just mention there and then and it will be rectified.

Waiting 30 mins and put in a que after 10 other customers for 1 portion of chips - not acceptable. Need to review your system our local chippy would never do that.
