We tried on the back of the reviews their cream tea and they nailed it. Local fresh clotted cream and jam, freshly baked scones that were very good, a very pleasant welcome and a fresh tea brew. Coffee went down well aswell. A huge recommend they do open relatively late at 11.30 but are very accommodating to early arrivals . They will let you sit in the garden if you are a few minutes early whilst they open. There is a Brucey bonus, the cakes!

Do support this wonderful tearoom in Winsford. The cakes are so temptingly delicious. Even though the portions are generous, I promise you one slice will not be enough....pure yummy heaven! You'll definitely need more than one visit. I gather all the food is made from scratch on the premises and it shows. We had a lovely chicken meal on Friday evening. It was so good, it could give the pubs in the area serious competition. Very competitively priced too. We have been visiting this tearoom while on holiday for years and have always been impressed with the very friendly, but professional atmosphere. This tearoom makes you feel really welcome. We love it!

We drove over to Tarr steps and planned to stop here for something to eat before our walk today (Sunday). Checked their website before leaving and it said their “new opening hours” were 11:30-4 Friday - Sunday. Got there at 12 and absolutely no sign of life, so had to head onto our walk on empty stomachs :( real shame as the reviews all look good!

Wonderful tea rooms that serve amazing meals or cakes. Only open Thursday to Sunday lunch and Friday/Saturday evenings. There are lots of outside tables in the pretty garden Overlooking the village and tables inside for rainy days. Do book early though as this place gets very busy in the summer. As a treat we visited the tea room in the hope of getting a cream tea and sandwich. The delay in the heat to order food was the only annoying factor as the staff were not well organised but c-19 does not help matters so it was not entirely their fault. The food and utter pleasantness of the staff made up for the delays but some other visitors found the queue, i.e. standing in the heat, a bit much. It was also the fault of other visitors who made a meal (excuse the pun) of their order instead of being succinct. Loved the cream tea and sandwich, friendly to dogs and as always, a welcome treat.

Stopped in Winford to look round this picturesque village and visit the church. Unfortunately the church was closed due to Covid-19, but we were lucky enough to find the Bridge Cottage Tearoom instead! Very pleasant staff and good Covid-19 precautions which as we are elderly made us feel very safe. The immaculate toilet was a lovely surprise!! The toasted panini we had was very tasty and came with a generous salad on the side and a pot of hot water was provided to top up the teapot, which is always nice to see. We would certainly go there again.

The Bridge Cottage Tearooms is in the beautiful location of Winsford and offers indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are very welcoming and showed us to our bench styled table where the menus were waiting. Our group of five chose their beverages of tea and coffee plus a portion of Victoria sponge. My green tea was delicious and was served in a china and saucer which I'm sure added to the flavour. My wife and I agreed to share the sponge slice however, it was so light and the real double layer cream enjoyable, I wish that we ordered one each! I definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Been here a few times. All of which were disappointing. We were told outright on a couple of occasions that they weren’t doing hot food or sandwich’s because they were busy! There were 3 other tables occupied along with ours. When we ordered 2 cream teas, 1 to share between each couple, we waited 45 minutes! To then be brought 1 small pot of tea, even though we had ordered 2 separate cream teas. When querying we were told that was how they do it, and if we wanted extra cups or plates so we could share the scones then we would have to make a donation for the extra washing up! Disgraceful customer service

On this visit, although towards the middle of October, the sunshine was out and the tea rooms were packed. A late bonus. The staff are friendly although working flat out and the food was tasty and decent quality. What tops this off is that the tea rooms are at a confluence of country roads, one which is crossed by a weir. Quintessentially the perfect location.

Expensive for what it is. They don't really cook, it's just a collection of low quality ingredients... (Probably canned) Too bad.... At 1 p.m., they only offer part of their menu, i.e. only breakfasts and not the hamburgers for example. Need to communicate better with customers or separate cards better. I do not recommend.
