The best restaurants serving Default food in Budleigh East Devon South West

We had a crab sandwich yesterday and were surprised at the price of £15.95 each but we ordered them anyway. We found the sandwiches were much smaller than usual and not so tasty. On checking my bank statement I see that Rockfish has taken over. Probably explains high price and smaller sandwiches. Just £9.95 further down the beach at 50⁰ North and much better quality.

Delicious take away meal prepared swiftly with skill and care - particularly loved the vegetable samosas and lamb bhuna

We visited The Cosy Teapot by chance walking along the front at Budleigh Salterton we came across this little Gem. We were greeted by a really lovely lady that had only just started that very day. What a lovely lady she was she made us extremely welcome, we sat down and some locals were sat at the next table, they started talking to us they seemed very interested to find out where we were staying and where we had come from. Not often do you find people wanting to talk but they were happy to chat and give us advice on where to visit along the coast. The menu at the Cosy Teapot was just to our taste proper home cooked food. We had toasted sandwiches which came with a delicious side salad. Tea was served in a proper teapot enough for at least 3 cups each and proper bone china cup and saucer. The owner Betty a genuinely nice person making sure that we were happy with our lunch, even took the time to join in with our chat with the locals. You won’t be disappointed if you visit The Cosy Teapot truly a very special place. Looking forward to another visit. Clive and Elaine

Café ubicado dentro del Amo Alpa City Suites ofrece comida caliente de piedra. Probé el bife de Lomo en mi plato caliente de piedra y fue el bistec más increíble que he probado en mi vida. La carne era muy jugoso, fresco, tierna y sabrosa. Mi costilla era perfectamente mármol para mantener es muy sabroso. Cada bocado de la carne era cálido y cocinadas exactamente el camino que quería. Tienes que probar para creer!

I reserved a table at 12 midday for my family, 4 adults and two more very elderly people in wheelchairs. Complicated wheelchair access, and assigned table totally unsuitable. I had to move tables and chairs to get us in, noone came to assist me or apoligise. Next, no lemonade for a shandy. No cup of tea for my 104 Yr old uncle. Begrudgingly they brought one...not cost effective!!!! Then an hour fifteen minute wait for our food. We explained that we had a wheelchair taxi booked, which I had to change for a little later. Nothing. Other clients who arrived and ordered later had eaten and gone. Finally... the food was average and we did not have enough time for the oldies to eat. Requested Tartar sauce, never came and dirty plates not removed. Very poor and discriminatory service, total lack of empathy and care.

I went in the shop at lunchtime and bought 2 portions of cod and chips which cost £25.80. The fish was small and thin and the chips were like scrapings from the bottom of the fryer. Very disappointed.

All that you expect and need from a traditional village pub, great local craft beer and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

You don’t have to go to Brittany for an Idyllic setting and the freshest seafood. Great service and great value.

We normally order a takeaway as we have done regular for the past 4 years. The meals are always fresh and tasty. They have always had the meals ready at the prescribed time. It’s probably the best takeaway within 5 miles we live closer to Sidmouth but always go to the Chinese Banquet as a preference

Stumbled upon this lovely little pub, just off the High Street in Budleigh Salterton. Could not have wished for a warmer welcome from the Landlord and Landlady. Great little place!
