Nice Pub - Generally very good but limited Vegetarian Options. Sadly twice now been told Pizza available and visited on the nights they informed us they serve - Friday and Saturday but not an option. If there was a better veggie menu we would visit more often. Staff very pleasant and nice atmosphere

We had an exceptional time here today. Booked in for mother's day with no issue at all. Greeted by the new owners Chris and the team who were more than happy to help with anything we needed. Sunday roast was excellent, cooked to perfection with a great selection and very satisfying. Service was great by the whole team especially paige and Ellie who was all smiles and very accommodating, nothing was to much trouble. Highly recommend 👌 thanks guys, will definitely be back.

We had an amazing lunch here. A brisk walk along the Test Way for a couple of hours then into the pub. They have their own brewed beer ‘HBT’ which is delicious and at 3.8% eminently quaffable. Sunday lunch started with some whitebait and homemade mayonnaise which was lovely to share across the table. The main was Roast Beef - unctuous and with a silky gravy too. Serving kale with it made me feel a little virtuous too. For pudding I just chose the locally made fudge - chocolate and cinnamon along with a perfect coffee. Altogether a delight.

Stoped here overnight on the way to Cornwall. Great pub food was amazing although kitchen did run out of things quite early. No sausages and only 6 people at breakfast. Bar staff were friendly and helpful, room was very comfy and had the biggest bath I've ever seen.

We ate three breakfasts and suppers and enjoyed the bar as well during our three-night stay. I have to say with all honesty everything was always perfect, from the food to the service. The ambience of the manor also creates a positive mood, classic yet relaxed. We also enjoyed seating outdoors with relaxing green views.

We called in for a pub lunch after 40 years since we last visited as we was based in the camp just up the road. And it was one of our local pubs, not a lot changed but I do say maybe a few landlord's. Brought a few memoirs back to us all. Very friendly landlord's Man n Wife team the ploughmans lunch was well proportioned and very tasty the beverages had a good choice. Loverly village pub well worth the visit recommend. Only thing I can find fault with is parking limited but no fault of the pub . Also has loverly beer garden when weather permits which it did for us. We will be back next year for our reunion see you then.
