We had an amazing lunch here. A brisk walk along the Test Way for a couple of hours then into the pub. They have their own brewed beer ‘HBT’ which is delicious and at 3.8% eminently quaffable.

Stoped here overnight on the way to Cornwall. Great pub food was amazing although kitchen did run out of things quite early. No sausages and only 6 people at breakfast.

We ate three breakfasts and suppers and enjoyed the bar as well during our three-night stay.
I have to say with all honesty everything was always perfect, from the food to the service.

We called in for a pub lunch after 40 years since we last visited as we was based in the camp just up the road. And it was one of our local pubs, not a lot changed but I do say maybe a few landlord's.
