The best restaurants serving Default food in Long Ditton Elmbridge South East

Wanted to have a nice breakfast in here and ended up very disappointed. The drinks were extremely small and quite pricey, tasted a bit watered down, but the food was honestly a deal breaker for me, I had a salmon toast with avocado and sadly it was one of the worst dishes I've ever had in a restaurant. The avocado tasted like fake sour guacamole and the salmon tasted old, extremely salty and very dry. The place is quite nicely decorated and had a nice view of the Thames, however for how expensive it is and how bad the food was I won't be visiting again. Such a shame.

We went out looking for supper at around 21:30 and stumbled upon this place. At first glance we didn't know what to expect because it looks very underwhelming as you enter. We checked the menu and placed our order. Once the food arrived we were completely blown away. The food was so well prepared and extremely flavourful. Went back there for 2 more meals. Would definitely recommend.

Great place. I was nicely surprised to find lovely roast potatoes plates at the bar which was for Free with you drinks. Shame they are far away from me otherwise I would come often. And they have a live music 🎵 on Saturday. If you are local.....it is lovely place to visit. Tables outside to cool down🍹🥂😍

We’ve been coming here for a number of years, even back when it was the GE, and it’s always been consistently... okay. It’s not somewhere we rave about, but it does the job – especially on a sunny day. The garden is a real sun trap and a lovely spot to sit and relax. There’s enough to keep the kids busy, which is a big plus, and we’ve come with both friends and family over the years. The food is decent – nothing to shout about, but it fills a gap. On our most recent visit, the staff seemed a bit short with people, but to be fair, they were clearly under pressure and probably didn’t have enough hands on deck for the number of people drawn out by the good weather. All in all, it’s a reliable spot that ticks a few key boxes, even if it’s never blown us away.

After having a bad experience with my last Chinese I was very skeptical to try a new Chinese for over a year but decided to give China Chef a chance and really glad I did. Portions are perfect and it’s not to greasy staff are nice and the food is easy on my gut have returned several times

Had Great dinner here!food was simply lovely and staffs are very friendly and helpful special thx for RAM he served as with a big smile and it was cute and cozy place to visit.we keep coming back

Great little independent pub with well kept beer and friendly staff. Child friendly and the food looked good.

Entire experience ruined by security

After a good perusal of the garden centre on a fairly cold day in April we were looking forward to a reasonable lunch, nothing too elaborate. We were shown a table and ordered and then had to wait 30 minutes for our order, NOT a full meal , but a toasty and a quiche with salad. Before they were served I had politely asked a waitress if our food might be served soon. The response was an abrupt, "We are busy!" There was no apology.The salad accompaniment had no dressing and on request I had to wait a further six minutes before had to ask again. The manageress did apologise afterwards but I did suggest that perhaps staff need further training.
