Booked and paid a £30 deposit for lunch on Easter Sunday only to turn up to find the restaurant closed with a closed until further notice sign on the door. No message from them to inform us. DO Not Book with this restaurant wherever they are now.
Simply delicious. We visited Mr Falafel purely on a whim. We love falafel but have been to a few places that just don’t do it well so was very skeptical. So our party did a split order we tried the falafel and the chicken shawarma.
Wow, wow, wow! To say we were blown away is an understatement. The falafel were flavourful, succulent and fresh! The salad was freshly prepared and added wonderful crunch and freshness to the wrap. Was perfect bites with each mouthful.
The vendor was a wonderful, kind man who clearly took great passion in something that reflects his heritage and culture. You can taste the love and pride with every bite
Will definitely be visiting again to try more food of the decent sized menu.
Highly recommended.
It was my first visit to whitstable with my partner and came here, the absolute highlight of our trip! Fantastic wine but more importantly the staff are brilliant, Angela was unbelievably knowledgeable and guided us with the best wines and also made us feel so welcome! Also Paulo is brilliant, made so much time to answer our questions and was a genuinely lovely person! You cannot come to whitstable without coming here!
I didn't know this site, I ordered a plant that had been catching my eye for a while, the service is great for delivery and super friendly! I am happy to learn that it is also a company from our beautiful province of Luxembourg! ☺️ you can fall in love with their pretty plants with your eyes closed!
I love this place. Very fresh ingredients, deliciously made dishes, very friendly staff, good prices, nice view from the window to Palace Street, my favourite eating place in Canterbury.
Quite Contrary is my favourite local cafe. Scrumptious cakes and scones baked in the cafe . Today I choose the delicious Chocolate and Orange Cake . Kim and Sue are always polite and cheerful.

The burgers from Rad are consistently the best I've ever had in my life, whether it be the Camterbury pop up shops or their branch in Whitstable. The move to The Pound will bring a different clientèle because it is not a fast food set-up but the quality was excellent. Bonus: if you dine there, you can get free entry to the museum, but check the opening times to ensure it is open.
Amazing double muffin and perfect hash brown and a decent size cup of tea. The muffin was steaming till the last mouthful . Just about to grab a Rocky Road to take away as full at the moment!
Lovely view. We went there for dinner only and the food and service was very good indeed. My only criticisms are that, in common with many restaurants, hard surfaces everywhere and no soft furnishings mean that noise can be a problem in the restaurant. Also, the menu is very limited, so one could not dine there frequently, unless it changes regularly.
It was refreshing to have proper linen napkins, plus water and bread for the table as was common in my youth but is now extremely rare.
