Porto has the largest selection of Ports-by-the-glass in the UK. 46 I believe. They do 'port tastings' as well. So, it's possible to do a number of tastings of White, Ruby and Tawny Port, EACH IF THEM DIFFERENT - which I've attempted. Couple this with some delicious snacks (chicken & chorizo my favourite) and you are definitely set for a delightful evening. The service is tremendous, too. It's a bit pricey, but certainly worth the price. The atmosphere is very pleasant. I can't put my finger in why this is so, but it's a lovely place to be. To be certain if a seat, you need to book. A lovely place. I shall be there tonight.

An absolute hidden gem! A passionate, knowledgeable, and accommodating Portugese owner crafted a fantastic evening filled with the best of Portugal's wine and port from beginning to end. A place to remember.

This is a must-visit of whitstable!! We had such amazing service, plus gorgeous wines and port. Complementary popcorn and cheese (with the port tasting boards). We had an incredibly knowledgable server (Martin), who looked after us very well. We didn’t get to try the food (charcuterie etc.), but will definitely be on our list to try! Would 100% recommend, whether for a quick drink or for an evening!

Porto, what can I say, our favourite wine bar in the Bubble. Always a 5 ⭐️ experience. With a wine selection that is ever changing, we are never disappointed. Our only regret is sharing this review as we’d rather keep this our little secret. Saude

Great little wine bar. Great knowledgable staff and owners who are also very friendly. We visit regularly when in Whitstable. Free popcorn is a nice touch and their small plates are also a great accompaniment to the lovely wine list.

This place is a little gem in Whitstable. Great service, atmosphere, and a fantastic selection of wine. We were offered a port tasting, which was fantastic. We cannot recommend it enough. Every time we visit Whitstable, it's a must-go place. Do not miss it.

Gorgeous, tasteful little wine bar. I’m a huge wine fan & the owner of this bar really knows his stuff! He’s from Porto & you can tell he is immensely passionate about his business. The wine list is fantastic & little cheeses to go with the port are selected perfectly. This is a perfect night out for me.

Visited this lovely place on a recommendation before our dinner booking elsewhere. Helio and the team were extremely welcoming and gave excellent wine recommendations, so much so that we bought a bottle to take with us to dinner (it was BYOB). We loved it so much we went back for a night cap after dinner, and both times we were extremely lucky we got the same seats straight away! The interior is super cute and cosy - would 100% recommend if you’re in Whitstable!

A group of 7 of us came for a Sunday evening booking, the host had saved two tables for us to pick from and greeted us so wonderfully. They helped and recommended us the most perfect wine which we really enjoyed. We choose a selection of platters which were all delicious. We had a fabulous evening and can’t wait to go back!

Porto was recommended by the host at our cottage, she was absolutely right. Friendly knowledgeable staff, an amazing selection of wine and port. Lovely cosy atmosphere, the next time we are in Whitstable we will definitely return.

Fab little place. Cosy atmosphere, friendly and a great selection of drinks. We had the 3 tasters of port, which came with a little tasting of blue cheese. All the ports were great, especially the Ruby port. Would certainly return and try their food also. A little gem of a place. Even made me book another holiday back to Porto 🤣

Came with my wife. Was served by Paolo who is super knowledgeable and friendly and just such a great host. We tried a bunch of good white, red (and port) wines and then brought a bottle home. Amazing place, great vibe, and a great addition to Whitstable!

Best experience ever with the wine-tasting menu and the food.

What a fantastic place. Lovely cosy wine bar with a huge list of wines and ports. We came both nights of our stay in Whitstable to finish off our evenings with the mixed port flight of 3 ports (white, tawny and ruby) served with blue cheese. A real highlight of our evenings and we look forward to visiting again next year.

What fabulous place. Absolutely amazing range of wine with incredibly knowledgeable recommendations. Didn't have food today ( wish we had! ) as the cheese board looks great. Could easily while away a few hours here .

A small but perfectly formed wine bar. Although we didn't eat, the good going to other tables looked delicious. The service was excellent and the owner and staff were very friendly. The wines we chose were extremely good and reasonably priced. Would definitely visit again

This is a brilliant new wine bar concentrating on Portugal as the source for all their wine. Charming and attentive staff.

I am not surprised this place has 100% 5 star reviews. It’s amazing. The staff are so kind and knowledgeable, the drinks selection is extensive and varied, all the drinks were delicious. We recently did a trip to the Douro Valley in Porto and the selection at this bar was as good as anything we saw in Portugal. A really really wonderful bar and I can’t wait to visit again. Added bonus: they are dog friendly. Would come back to Whitstable just for this place!!

Visited here during a short stay in Whitstable. Amazing service, lovely food and fantastic port. Will def be returning when next in Whitstable. We left my baby’s favourite soft toy but didn’t realise until we returned home to London. The owner went above and beyond finding and posting it back to us in a couple of days. Genuine customer service which is sadly more and more rare!

On our way back to our hotel, following our multi-leg dinner excursion, we popped into Porto for a cheeky nightcap. Our best intentions were quickly overtaken by the opportunity to explore some port tasting, accompanied by cheese. Thanks to Paulo and Leah (I hope I remember correctly) we were provided with the perfect culinary end with 7 ports (they actually threw in a white port to change my wife's views on it) and a varied cheese board. They were very charming hosts who really shared their knowledge with enthusiasm. Our only minor was that it was very warm, even at 10pm, but that could also be down in a small way to the cheese consumption. And, just to say, I'm hopeful someone else experiences the rather strange, but delightful back of the mouth tate of banana when trying the Palhais cheese!!

Wonderful place and staff, so friendly!

Recently opened during the summer of 2022. Whitstable’ own little piece of Porto right on the high street. Their selection of Green wines from Portugal is exceptional. I could’ve stayed all day and drunk them dry. The place is very welcoming with kind and attentive staff. It’s like sitting in a good friends front room or out back by their beach hut. It’s wonderful. The snacks are great too.

Port Tonico’s are a must, it’s like a gin and tonic but better! Amazing wine selection, gorgeous and comfortable spaces to sit. Wonderful and friendly staff, with a huge array of authentic Portuguese food.

Delicious wine bar with lovely people who will help you choose if you are indecisive like us! Yummy Portuguese bar snacks and pastel de nata too, which go down a dream with some port.

Fell upon this bijou new wine bar by chance. Very nicely presented shop conversion on Harbour Street with a divine little patio garden out back. So beautifully decorated.run by some nice people who are still waiting for full licensing hrs to be granted so not open allhours just at present. Very enjoyable - they deserve to succeed .

Great to finally have a place like this in Whitstable with a cosy and chilled atmosphere. The wine and nibbles were excellent, and the staff were lovely and welcoming! I tried for the first time White Port & Tonic, and it is stunning, so give it a try! We'll be going back soon!
