Previously visited the Tearooms when they were located outside the front of Perry Court. The food was excellent and cheese, chutney sandwiches were huge and fresh. Has to be said for the new cafe the staff are great - however the new sandwiches are appalling. Cheap supermarket, sliced bread and a smattering of grated cheese for ££. Phenomenally expensive. A huge disappointment and wouldn't return.

After a long period of absence we went for drinks here on Christmas Eve. Not a single pump was working and a small bottle of Peroni and an equally small (and disgusting) bottle of Prosecco was charged at £10! The manager was overheard telling another punter that they were “running down the stock” which translates to “we’re going to be closing soon”. Such a shame - this used to be an amazing pub years ago. Mis-management has led to the state it is now in. Bring back the former owners.

INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE, BLAND ORDINARY FOOD, MISERABLE STAFF, ASKED TO PAY CASH - BEWARE ! SPENT AN EYE WATERING £95 FOR 2 PEOPLE (WITH JUST 2 ALCOHOLIC DRINKS ) I don't mind a meal being expensive if the food warranted it, but the Chicken Tikka starter was bland and tasteless, and the mains were very, very, ordinary. There was nothing special about this food. I was charged extra for the pickle tray for the Poppadums !! I felt like they tried to run up the bill on us, and there was negotiation as to how much we needed to pay after being handed a £95 bill. I was called on my mobile before the booking to inform me if I paid cash I would get a 10% discount. I took £60 cash with me not expecting for a moment that it would be more than this and figuring I would pay any extra on a card.I was then told I would need to pay £97 ??? What a rubbish restaurant. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK.

We had travelled from The North to visit family in Kent and we were hopeful this Chinese take away would be great….unfortunately it wasn’t ! The lemon chicken was good, however the chicken balls had that ‘overused oil twang ‘ and the seafood Thai red curry was poor. The egg fried rice was dry and the prawn crackers were past their best. All in all I wish I would have used an App to provide our Chinese meal. I would not recommend .

Such a beautiful pub set in a beautiful village and surroundings. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and our meals delicious. We sat in a very light and airy dining area and had an extremely relaxed and enjoyable afternoon. We would highly recommend.

We were recommended the NFH and we were not disappointed. The staff were attentive. The selection of Shep beers supplimented by the more contemporary Little Ships ale. The English wine selection was good with a small tasting offered before purchase. The food was the clincher. Modern English well executed and accomplished. Well done to the young team.
