Just been with friends for a bottomless brunch and what can I say??? Welll the owners Yaz & Naz absolutely lovely. Very accommodating and just class. Let’s move on to ambiance.. just fab, we had quirky little glasses 🤓 to put on and the chance of a sombrero to wear. The up and coming court yard is soon to be a great option for summer afternoons/evenings. Cocktails where gorgeous especially the Watermelon Tequila and Dragonfruit & Mango Daquiri 🤤 and fooood welll we all chose different but it was all absolutely gorgeous, quality, quantity and plentiful. We are already planning our next visit even with other groups. Seriously this is a hidden little gem that needs to be tried, it is most definatly ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️s from 5 of us 🎉🎉

Chips were cold, the naan bread was also cold and very tough

The food in this chippy is revolting. Square shaped meat in a special dish? I could only handle 1 mouthfull b4 the whole meal went into the bin. Grey coloured beef? Or is it even beef? Avoid if you value your stomach.

Dropped in for a takeaway. Ordered lamb tikka which was very dry and chewy. Main meal lamb vindaloo only 3 small pieces of lamb and the rest bulked out with potatoes. Very, very poor, won’t be going back.

This is a hidden gem. Lovely food, friendly staff and very popular. I had to have some tyres changed at ATS up the road and spent a very pleasant hour here.

Sunday lunch with good friends. We had drinks and “nibbles” outside in the sunshine, and headed indoors for a traditional Sunday lunch. It’s a busy pub, but the food and service are very good. “I’ll be back!”

Absolutely phenomenal! This kebab shop is a true gem. Chef Ali really knows what he’s doing in this industry, The meat was unbelievably tender, bursting with rich, smoky flavor, and grilled to perfection. Every bite was a perfect harmony of juicy meat, fresh, crisp vegetables, and warm, pillowy bread. The sauces were spot on — bold, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The portions were more than generous, offering incredible value. On top of that, the staff went above and beyond with their friendly service and welcoming smiles. If you’re craving an authentic, Turkish mouthwatering kebab experience, look no further. This place is a must-visit — 10/10 recommend!

The star of the show was undoubtedly the roast dinner. I opted for the roast beef, which was cooked to perfection. It was tender and bursting with flavor, with just the right amount of seasoning. Accompanied by beautifully crispy roast potatoes and fluffy Yorkshire puddings, each bite was a delight. The seasonal vegetables were fresh, vibrant, and cooked just right, adding a lovely crunch to the dish. The rich, savory gravy complemented everything perfectly, tying the meal together wonderfully. Presentation: The presentation of the roast dinner was impressive, with the meat elegantly draped over a bed of perfectly roasted potatoes and a colorful array of vegetables. The Yorkshire pudding was not only delicious but also beautifully puffed and golden, making for a visually appealing plate. Service: What truly set The Basset Hound apart was the outstanding service. From the moment I walked in, the staff were welcoming and accommodating. They took the time to explain the menu and made excellent recommendations. Throughout the meal, our server was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that our glasses were always full and that we had everything we needed to fully enjoy our dining experience.

This place was the best for miles around. Renowned for its chips. Not anymore, the chips are dried up tasteless shrivels. Must be buying in cheap frozen jobs

Great food and brilliant service tried many in my area but keep coming back to ocean star.

Excellent service from our server, Levi. She couldn't do enough for us, a credit to her employers. Overall, the carvery was nice, but I found the lamb a bit chewy. I would recommend and will be returning again.
