I ordered an afternoon tea from Plumcake today and it was the best I have ever had. Kath had made fresh tarts and scones that morning and they were amazing. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. The attention to detail was so special.

We had a leaving Party in the Garden Room on Fri 11th Oct. Paula could not have been more helpful in the lead up to and on the night itself. The bar team were brilliant and the food was lovely for all our guests, and there were a lot of us. I thought it was excellent value for money and the room looks amazing. Everyone had a fantastic time, would highly recommend for a private party.

Group of 4 went early evening for dinner. A very friendly welcome, fast service followed by an excellent meal. We all ordered something different so there was a bit of tasting done. I like to try something new so as I'd never heard of I paneer tikka badshahi massala I thought I'd give it a go and certainly wasn't disappointed. We all enjoyed our meals and there was enough for 2 of us to take some home in a box.

Friendly atmosphere. Great coffee and cake. Lawrence makes us feel very welcome and the staff are brilliant. They also sell fresh baked artisan bread.

Our first visit to The Aviator, a fairly new build, clean, bright and welcoming. The car park was well lit, if a little compact, however a further parking area is under construction. There is outside seating/tables and a children's play area, secure from cars etc. We went for our meal at 5pm. The Aviator has both Pub and Restaurant areas, with plenty of space. A log fire was lit by the staff, adding significantly to the ambiance and feel of the restaurant area we were in. Washroom facilities: For those with limited mobility, the facilities are on the ground floor. For others they were on the first floor, accessed via a staircase. The facilities were clean, well maintained and fully available. On arrival the place was fairly quiet with good seating selection. Access appeared to be good for all users. Service was very good, accurate and fully met our needs. Food was very tasty, with good portion size and choice. All in all, we got what we paid for and throughly enjoyed it. We would definetly go back. 😋

Tauba tauba (dear God) where to start. I was looking forward to trying this place out as I’m particular about my curries and wanted to find a decent place near to where I live . It was a busy night in there and while we were waiting for the rest of our group to arrive, we just asked for a plate of poppodoms to quickly start with as we were hungry but we were informed that we would had to wait for the remainder of the group to arrive first! Apparently, us ordering this pre starter would cause confusion for the waiters but they didn’t have an issue giving us drinks at that point did they! I called another waiter over and asked him for poppodoms only for him to announce, “ I only do drinks” so then I called over the manager and he finally allowed us the poppodoms. We then gave our orders and the waiter was v specific in carefully taking the order for the mains first from all first and then he went round with our sundries after which seemed rather long winded. And yet despite this attention to detail, they forgot my husband’s starter of a mixed grill for 2 ( you can imagine how devastated he was) ! He just wanted to leave at that point. The food arrived for me and I was so disappointed. As an Asian “desi” we know what decent food is - so why do some Indian restaurants persist in this day and age to add processed awful food colouring to the veg and meat- do you really think that’s acceptable? My pakoras were like doughy golf balls and and the batter on my paneer was given a wonderful shot of pink colouring! Awful and tasteless. Needless to say I couldn’t eat it. Then my mains arrived. The aloo parata was also tasteless, the bhindi was ok but the paneer in butter sauce … well take a look for yourself below . Needless to say it remained untouched as it looked radio active! All I could think of was why didn’t we go to Hitchki in Cheadle -one of the best curry houses in this neck of the woods. Amaans could do with going there to try all their dishes (especially their paneer in butter sauce which is heaven) and take some tips on service and overall food quality.

Have been a few times over the last few months. Always good food and atmosphere, although the drinks are a little on the pricey side. Sorry to hear that the Manager James, who's been here for a couple of months, is leaving. He was always friendly and efficient. You've lost a real asset!
